Parts were just as advertised. Auger is once again virtually silent. The upper bearing really did not need to be replaced, but as I had the part this was done anyway. It would be helpful to sell the parts as two distinct pieces rather than grouping them. This is especially true given the lower bearing is more often the culprit.

The biggest problem I have with it is the pellets hang up on the sides of the hopper. Other than that a pretty good little stove

I owned a Breckwell P23 pellet stove for about 15 years. During that time, I replaced the blower fan and the hotrod igniter. The stove was a war horse. I could easily dump a full bag of pellets into the generous hopper opening. As mentioned by many others, the Comforbilt's opening is small and pellets end up around the opening. But, about a month ago, I was touching the control panel on the Breckwell and had some static electricity to the board. It still worked, but I had to unplug it to get it to turn off. So, I bought a Comforbilt HP50. This is my thoughts about it compared to my old Breckwell: The Comforbilt is much easier to operate. My old stove had a manual damper rod that I had to adjust. The Comforbilt is automatic. I still use it on manual, like my old stove, and that works well for me. I love the remote control and it works great. The glass stays much cleaner on my new stove and is easy to clean. Speaking of cleaning, this is a daily must for any pellet stove. I use a small paint brush mostly and use my old Breckwell burn pot scraper to clean it. Comforbilt should provide this for you, but they don't. Also, the sides to the new stove are hard to put back on. Lining up the screw when you cannot see anything is challenging. But they biggest difference is the amount of pellets I"m using. The Comforbilt uses more than the old stove. I'll know for sure after a year of use, but am guessing I'll use a half of ton more with the new stove. So, if asked if I'd buy this stove again, the answer is yes. I'm hoping it will have the same durability as the old stove, but only time will tell.

We are enjoying the stove and glad that we have it. It brings a new level of warmth for our home. Couple of issues to consider. The instructions are poorly written and insufficient. A number of people in the family had to read read them before we could use it well. We are still trying to figure how all the options work. The display panel is very hard to read. You have to bend down or be on your knees to even see it. It is complex. Also, adding pellets while the stove is on had led to the fire blowing out or nearly blowing out. It caused smoke to enter the living room where the stove is located. On one occasion, it lead to an explosion in the stove. It does not appear to damage the stove or the glass, but it was very scary. It felt dangerous. We no longer add pellets when it is running. This appear solve the issue. We also had an issue with delivery. The stove came with an ash vacuum in a totally separate box. The box looked fine so we did not bother to open it and check it. We installed the stove about a week after receiving everything. There were no issues with the stove or the installation. However, when we opened the box for the vacuum, we saw that it was damaged. Initially, Lowe’s (where we bought the stove) said we needed to bring everything back or they could not help us. They referred up to the manufacturer to see if they would send a replacement. The answer was no. After a couple of weeks of back and forth, Lowe’s made things right. We have a replacement for the damaged vacuum. Back to the beginning. We like the stove. It is bringing us the comfort we wanted. A few things could be done by ComfortBilt and Lowe’s to make the customer experience outstanding.

The stove is working great. We like the stove. The one negative is small pellet bin and the pellet don't slide down to the auger so it runs out of pellet when there is still some in the bin. I would buy another one. It is working well.

Like the stove very much. Does a great job heating my 1.5 story cathedral cieling home. The only issue I have is the hoper does not feed the pellets when 1/2 full. You have to hand pile the pellets to the middle of the hopper so the augar will feed them. You should consider adding a vibrator motor to the hopper that would vibrate the sides of the hopper intermitently to move the pellets to the augar. I'm reviewing the design of my stove to see how this could be done.

The comfortbuiltHP22i insert works great at heating my house and efficiency and looks good . But my problem is how the settings work I can have it on eco, manual , temp and the stove will not turn on till at leat 4 degrees above where and then when it goes on sometimes it don't go off (it was on Temp, I had it set for 70 and it was still running at 90 degrees so I had to tun it off). I called tech and they tried to be helpful by changing the settings in the stove. I called 3 times and changed them everytime but still had the problem, so I was told by the tech that if I had a thermostat it would be more accurate, so I did. It does work better but had it go 5 degrees above set before it went off. not sure why it works like it does but somethings not right. I have another brand stove in the basement that goes on 1 degree obove temp and goes off after it has reached the temp.

Main power switch number 2. I had to buy 2 because it fails often I think cb should replace these at no cost. Thay actually melt down and become a safety issue.

Overall I love the stove, but having a louver to direct the air to the left or right would be a HUGE improvement, and would often eliminate the need for an unsightly fan to redirect the air. I'm perplexed why they don't add that as a standard (or optional add-on) feature.

The product came and it was well packaged. It took a little longer than Amazon. I think we’re all used to their two day delivery. I use the lubricant the whole package, but it didn’t make any difference whatsoever on the dying cow sound that my fire is making. I had hope that it would stop once it was lubricated, but it did not. Still not sure what to do about that noise.

Stove works great. I had to reorder the fresh air kit that wasn't shipped with all of the other parts originally ordered. I now have everything and it works fantastic.

The HP21 pellet stove has a lot of features to like. And many things I feel could be an improvement. Increase the slope of the hopper so all the pellets will slide down to the auger. Increase the size of the screen ans also larger font so it can be read standing up so no more bending over and squinting. The rim that the lid closes on could be sloped so pellets don't stay on it. The rim of the lid would still contact the interior edge at the top of the slope. The frollowing are more major changes which incluctng the aforementioned sugge4stions would be both a larger hopper and door allowing the ability to hold more pellets. A longer port exiting the stove facilitating the application of metal tape instead of 500 degree caulk. Some explanion in the manual why the way to reset it to the "House" involves un plugging the AC and back again. A more responsive customer service would be great. We spent a few 20 and below weather waiting for a response. We are going on a month listining to the bearings grind away. You promptly sent new bearings and the washer that should have been installed during manufacturing. And last for now the manual should be totally rewritten to add more detailed instructions and illustrations. My cell number is 206-999-7411 and my e-mail is everettgrout@gmail.com

I actually received a replacement baffle for my pellet stove that was still under warranty. It was a little difficult replacing that myself as I tried to read instructions on how to do that diy and the instructions didn’t include that I would have to remove the bricks also to get that in and out of there. Fortunately even though it was close to closing time and the weekend I was able to contact someone by phone and get further instructions as well as a recommendation to follow your Facebook page where I would be able to get any further questions answered over the holiday weekend as many of the technicians or others familiar with the stoves respond to peoples inquiries that way. I was not previously aware you had a Facebook. Though I successfully uninstalled and installed the new baffle, I may need to follow comfortbuilt on Facebook for future reference. Also, though, my pull knob that is used to clean the ash above the baffle has been stuck for a couple of years. I got advice over the phone on ways to possibly free that up while changing out the baffle but was unable to free it. It’s quite difficult to vacuum the ash from above the baffle without that working but fortunately when I do a deep clean each season I’m able to get it well enough for the stove to function still. I believe the new baffle does make my pellets last longer. I’m very thankful for that because prices for pellets are going up outrageously.

Great stove over all works and heats good. However it does give issues igniting periodically, I feel the computer should do less pellets on start up or the igniter needs to be closer to the fuel. I own an Avalon for my shop for twenty years and have never had a fail start. Overall satisfied though.
