“I can't say that my journey with my HP41 has been a fairytale... quite the opposite, actually. I bought it from Lowe's in November 2025 with hopes of taking the edge off of our very costly baseboard heat. I chose the HP41 because of it's physical size, design and BTU output, which seemed perfect for kitchen. The stove worked great out of the gate, but then after about 2 weeks I started having issues with it. First the blank screen syndrome and shortly after that, the auger motor stopped working. My stove was now OOO for an entire month during the holiday season and some of the coldest days of the year. Needless to say, I was not happy... and due to it being the holiday season, tech support was limited and shipping of replacement parts took longer than it should have. This being said - The gents from Tech Support who I was able to connect with, were extremely helpful and kind and did the best they could to help me rectify the issues I was having and get my stove back up and running. It's now been cranking out great heat for about a month with no further issues and I'm back to loving it again. My only other complaint is that the ash collection and removal system in the 41 is cumbersome and awkward other than that - when it works, it gets the job done.”

“It took 3 new control panels and a new motherboard to get the pellet stove working. I shouldn't spend almost $1500.00 dollars on something and then take it apart and work on it for it to work.”

“I bought a comfort biltong pellet stove back in June. Some people like them I think there worthless. There is way to much maintenance to them ,they shut off for know reason . I'm going back to kerosene”

“This review is based on the customer service I have received lately. I had an issue with my Hp22n and previously when I would reach out their customer service was excellent. However, that is no longer the case. You can’t speak with anyone and can only converse through email which takes days a time to get a response. It was very frustrating and especially when you get a response to look at the owners manual. I did that several times and finally had to just start ordering parts to pinpoint what part was bad. I really hope they fix their customer service area soon!!”

“works well for heating my 1100 sq.ft. woodshop even when it is down to -3, anything after that i have to also use my wood burning stove to help out, one thing i would like to see is an adjustable blower to help the heat get to the far corners of the shop.”

“I purchased the HP42 for our large basement. We had some frozen cold water pipes. It did a great job. Temps ran from 28 degrees to mid 40's and it took care of the frozen conditions in the basement. I also run two HP61's in our house, so I'm familiar with Comfortbilt pellet stoves. I prefer the HP61 for several reasons. Ease and access of the larde ash bin for cleaning, side door access to all the working parts. The HP42 has some advantages in other areas. The pellet storage is 3 times the size of the HP61, the fire starts quicker...in under a minute. It's also much less money, but does almost the same job. The HP42 is a very substantial and well built stove. (313 pounds.) I've had other brand pellet stoves and have helped other families that had other brands. I sold my Harman stove 5 years ago to get a Comfortbilt and I could not be happier! I plan to get my 4th Comfortbilt stove for a hot tub room! BTW, their support staff is the very best in the country. They're always there to help.”

“I really like the HP 61 but I ordered a backup fan from here and as I am tracking it, it was sent to Puerto Rico. I live in Pennsylvania, who in the world would have a pellet stove to heat their home in Puerto Rico???”
