It started off with my TV breaking down. As it was insured, I rang Curry's insurers, only to be told that I had vouchers coming to me for £290.00. They gave me the coding for the vouchers, and the next morning my Husband and I went off to our local Curry's in Brixton to buy a new tv. The young lady on the till told us to go off and choose a TV, and she would deal with the voucher when we got back. The tv we picked wasn't in stock, and then we got the bad news that our voucher wasn't for £290.00, it was for £119.00. After a bit if an argument, I insisted that the insurers had quoted £290.00. It made no difference. The Manager was called, who explained that the insurers had given me the wrong information, and that it was in fact £119.00, they had also given me back £5.00 for the remaining 2 months insurance that was left over, making a total of £124.00. This was on a Wednesday, and delivery of the new TV was arranged for the Friday between 7am and 7pm. When I got home with all the paper work, I noticed that the £124.00 was on a credit note, and saying that if it wasn't used by November 2019, I would lose it. That amount should have come off the price of the new TV. I dashed back to the shop, to be told they had taken that amount off the bill, the bill that they would send to my computer, but of course the bill I was handed in the store had the full price of the TV on it. The paper work stating that if I didn't use the £124.00 by November 2019, the young lady explained, I shouldn't have been given it, and she hurriedly snatched it away. OK, on the Friday my Husband and I got up early, cleared the area where the new TV was going, and waited and waited. Well, we waited all day, and by 7.15pm, we were furious. A whole day wasted, and no tv. I then spotted on my email, an email from Currys to say they were going to deliver our TV on the following Monday (remember, it was booked to come the Friday before). It did state on the paper work. Not only will we deliver your TV. Our driver will unpack it, and take all the rubbish away. And before he goes, make sure that the customer is happy. Well what really happened was that the driver thrust this big 43" tv into my 81 year old Husbands poorly hands, and when my Husband asked him if he was going to unwrap the TV and take the rubbish away, he said "oh no", got in his cab, and drove away. I really have to ask about this Mickey Mouse firm. It used to be a company that you looked up to. Not any more though. It is a complete mess. Whoever runs it, be warned, if you don't do something about it, you'll be on News at Ten with them saying, "Curry's have gone to the wall, the firm has folded up". I now know that I shall NEVER ever buy anything else from Curry's. The Company is an utter disgrace.

Ordered a coffee machine Sat 9th Dec. They took the money out if my account Monday 11th. Only had order confirmation to say it would in store today. But nothing to say it is ready for collection. Now website says out of stock. Will be going into store tomorrow to ask but don't hold out much hope

My item a 49 inch tv arrived damaged. Screen completely caved in and cracked !! . A replacement was not in stock...it then took 3 very long tel calls to sort out for damaged item to be picked up....not able too get money back for 3-5 working days after pick up...promised 2 call backs to discuss issue including 1 from manager and no-one called. It takes 20 mins each time you call to get through... What's going on Curry's !!!! A complaint taken by the phone person will only be shared within Curry's and customer gets no feedback ...I was eventually offered £50 off next purchase but too late I will not be shopping with you again...have been told my refund will be sometime today.. I'm not confident in that statement as have no expectation its just words to get rid of me on the phone...will this be on your reviews !!!!doubt it

Ordered a games console a month ago and apart from one email to confirm they had taken payment, I’ve heard nothing since. I went into the store to find out about my order as I couldn’t get through on the phones, I was told it was probably out of stock. It didn’t state that when I purchased it, if it had I would have gone elsewhere as this is a Christmas present. No idea if it will turn up in time for Christmas. My advice to potential Curry’s customers... don’t bother, find somewhere else to shop.

Ordered a washing machine for delivery today 13th December and delivery driver turned up and refused to bring it up to the 3rd floor no where on the website does it say how many flights it needs to go up so the delivery driver was swearing at me and my partner and refused to deliver the item he loaded it back on the lorry whilst bashing it around to get it back on there. I now still have no washing machine and am still waiting for a refund to go in does anyone know how long this will take to go back into my bank account as I desperately need a washing machine and I can assure anyone reading this that I will never spend another penny in curry’s ! And I highly recommend you don’t either. Go to Argos or mind you any other store rather than curry’s I have two children aged 6 and 4 and I’ve had no washing machine for a week now I will have to wait another week before I even receive a refund to purchase another one from else where.

Really poor service from DPD the delivery service they use , their website not clear no phone numbers to call , did eventually get a number from separate search . Then called Currys customer service - after a 40 min wait to speak to someone , the were not very helpful and the goods are being returned to them as the address could not be updated by either Currys or DPD .... they are going to credit me but it will cost me more to re buy the goods now ...they won't honour the prices I paid on saturday . i am so shocked at this treatment to a customer - really very very poor

Ordered a washing machine 1 week ago and it was supposed to be delivered fri 8th Dec 2017, I had a phonecall off delivery driver friday morning to say they would be with me in half an hour and what was parking like on my street, I told the driver they would be able to park on the side of the road but they told me they would have to put the machine on a smaller van, I phoned up and the woman on the phone told me that the driver had atttempted my road but couldn't get down. This was not true. I then had a text message to say they would deliver my washing machine today (monday 11th dec) at 2.30pm I then got another text to say that it would not be delivered until Saturday 16th Dec. Again I phoned up and asked why they could not deliver again, and again they told me that the driver had attempted to park down my road but couldn't, again this was not true as the road was completely clear of cars. She then told me that she could try and get me in sooner but the system was not letting her. I have 2 young children 1 and 3 months old. I have been without a washing machine for 1 week now. I have now got a full refund and had to buy my washing machine from somewhere else that will not mess me around. Very disappointed.

Disgraceful company, absolutely poor service. We have been waiting for a TV to arrive in the last week and after two failed attempts, noonne from Currys has called us to let us know where our item is. I’ve personally escalated this via phone and not only has the delivery been poor but the customer service over the phone is even worse. The lady I am liaising with has no idea what the complaints process is and how to take my matter forward. I will never order from Currys again!

Never again will I shop at Curry’s PC World. After purchasing my item, I waited until two days before I was supposed to receive my package. I still had not received any shipping confirmation or tracking number, so I called to ask about this (Wednesday) and was told that if I didn’t hear anything by Friday (the day it was meant to arrive), to call back. I call back on Friday and they say that if I don’t hear anything by Tuesday, to call back. I had already done this, with a 20 minute wait on the phone line each time. This is not an acceptable solution for customers to have to call multiple times to ensure that their order is delivered. I asked to speak to a supervisor to help to find a better solution. The customer service agent said that I could, but they were busy right now so it would be another 20 minute wait. I said ok. 40 minutes later, another customer service agent picked up the phone. It turns out he had just fed my call back through the phone system. He never had any intention of putting me through to a supervisor. This is disgraceful to play with people and people’s time like this, especially when they are calling because of frustration caused by the company’s in ability to resolve an issue. I work. I am busy. I don’t have time to play games. This is an enormous waste of my time, but also of the company’s time and resources. Shocking that they allow such behavior. If no supervisor can speak to me, then fine. But don’t pretend to put me through and let me wait. When my package finally arrived, 5 days after the initial date given and 3 days after the second delivery date given, it did not match the product photo online. It also had a note inside saying that it could not be returned in store because it was released through a third party supplier. I was not informed that I could not return in store when purchasing the product. I will be encouraging everyone I speak with to shop anywhere but Curry’s PC World. My experience couldn’t be worse so far, and now I’m worried about going through the returns process. Totally disgusted with this company.

Like so many others on this review site, I went for Currys as they had a competitive price and they were a big name. A mistake I will never make again. They provide a truly awful service. Booked my delivery day almost two weeks in advance. Was given slot of 0815-1215 on 02/12/17. At 1230 when they hadn't arrived or bothered to call I called customer service where I was on hold for almost forty minutes. The customer service person phoned the delivery/installation team for an update to be told they had been delayed due to a gas leak... No explanation as to why they didn't phone me to let me know. The engineer then phoned about fifteen minutes later to say they were on the way. No apologies, no explanation. He then appeared miffed that I asked him what time he would be due. When he arrived he huffed and puffed because he had to work in a small space. He had asked me to make the meter free and for that I have to move my washing machine. He made a big deal of having to move the washing machine back in order to install the new cooker. Finally the new cooker was installed and I was glad when the engineer left. Though later discovered that he hadn’t switched the boiler back on. Unless you have plenty of time to spare and are the very definition of patience I would advise you to avoid Currys . Although I’m not an impatient person, nor do I have plenty of spare time so for me never again, thanks.

We ordered a washing machine from Currys. They text us a delivery date which was a day we would both be at work, so we tried to call the "helpline" to change the delivery day. Two days and an hour and a half later we had finally managed to change it, fast forward to delivery day we got the text to say they would be here between 9am and 1pm , surprise surprise 1pm came and went no delivery. I called the "helpline" again and after being on hold for 40 minutes finally spoke to someone who was very unhelpful and told me that delivery can be anytime between 7am and 7pm when I tried to tell her that we had been given a time slot she said that's just an estimate! I asked to speak to a manager only for the girl to try every which way to prevent this from happening, after being on hold for a further 20 minutes I finally spoke to a manager only to be told there wasn't anything they could do as they couldn't speak to anyone in the depot. I hung up and called the store where we bought the washing machine only to be told that there was sickness in the delivery department so the delivery could be anytime up until 7pm. After waiting in all morning for the delivery I was furious to be told that I would now have to wait until possibly 7pm, I have things to do apart from waiting for a delivery that should of been here over an hour ago. I will never again buy from Currys and would deter anyone from buying from there. They don't know what customer service is. I'm so angry right now that I'm half tempted to go to Currys now and demand my money back.

Its generally a smooth experience when you order small items which can easily be handled, but when it gets a little difficult for their delivery service to drop of a fridge who needs to work an exta 2 mins to get the fridge in they will not bother and leave you out to dry. As a side order you will get no sympathy, a slice or arrogance and some possible some abuse from the delivery team whi will ask for more money to do the job. Support your local trade and teach these companies a lesson. Your local shop will provide 100x better service and will be greatful for your business. Lesson learnt never shop at currys or pcworld again.

I purchased a intergrated dishwasher, the first fitter, left the machine on and then put my plinth back on, when l tried to open the door the front of the door flew off. After hours on the phone know how promising to call back and not doing so, eventually a week later another fitter arrived who was less competent than the first, l asked him to just leave it. I had to go back to the store 3 times to arrange for the dishwasher to be collected, another 6 calls to know how and several sets of fitters who arrived and left because a specialist team have to remove unwanted goods. Another visit to store and a wasted morning to be told they had no proof of collection so could not refund me. The only shining light in this sorry case was Poppy a weekend worker at the Harlow store, l learnt if you wanted anything done speak to her. I am still waiting for a voucher that was promised 3 weeks ago but l doubt will ever appear. Avoid anything that needs fitting by Currys, be warned inferior fitters

Awful never use them again, staff lie, delivered a damaged cooker and would not refund until picked up, spent over three hours on phone to try and sort out, two trips to store and no joy waiting to see if promised delivery of replacement item is delivered tomorrow and they pick up badly dented cooker which they delivered. Avoid like the plague, pay a bit more upfront and get decent service. Note 5p a minute on landline, takeaways and costs add up, not a bargain just hassle and sheer torture.

I will never buy from Currys again and I will be telling others to stay away! After ordering a new oven which was in stock on a Wednesday and paying £29.99 for express next day delivery the oven didn't turn up. I rang them which took 1 hour to get through at 5p a minute to find they where going to deliver it Sunday between 7.00 and 11.00am. Sunday at 9.00am I received a phone call saying they didnt have this oven in stock at Manchester and would need to bring one from another warehouse and i wouldn't get it until the Wednesday. Wednesday I received another phone call saying I wouldn't get it now until Thursday. I received it Thursday, a week after I was meant to get it, what a good express delivery service Currys, ao.com next time I think!!!

Bad service in Cwmbran store. Not very helpful. Bought an item they said they ring me when it comes in and only after 2 weeks of not hearing anything at all. I've called in to be told they haven't even got the item to deliver at any time.. but quick enough taking the money.
