Please don't buy from currys,I I bought a washing machine, and it was installed by them, when I used it for the first time it was making a banging noise and when spinning sounded like a train . I phoned them up and they said it wasn't lenalled at fron, so they did that. Then when I used it a second time, it was still making same noise, so know how cam out again, and said it was the rear not levalled. When I used it again it was still making the noise, so out they came again and then not said it was faulty, and bearings had gone. So the manufacture would have to change me out, so they came out today, and said bearings and drum was faulty. But could not replace it as it was over 28 days old, and because Currys had taken so long t find this out, Currys were responsible. So now Currys are saying they will have not replace or refund my money. Although this was a faulty washing machine when sold to me. And their was their fault not saying this when they first came out to me, so I shall non ever buy anything again from Currys, poor customer service etc. And a broken Washing Washine they say won't replace

Ordered washing machine from Currys which proved to be one of the worst decisions we have ever taken. It left us (i) without a washing machine for a long period of time, (ii) hefty laundry bills, (iii) hefty emergency electrical bill, (iv) over a dozen long and frustrating phone calls to Curry’s and Know-How, (v) two wasted Sundays, (vi) one lost half day holiday, and worst of all (vii) huge mental stress and frustration. On delivery, engineers claimed that the socket needed to be rewired for them to be able to install. They would come back on the same day to install the appliance. We looked for an electrician to come for an emergency call-out and fix the problem. Called knowhow said that she will get someone to come back to complete the installation the same day. Called again, and this time, he said that no one could come on that day…and worse…no one was meant to come from the start! We had to schedule another installation date. Engineers came and (apparently) installed the appliance. Before leaving, my husband asked them if they have removed all the bolts. They said that “there are no bolts in this machine” and that they “tested” it and it is working fine. Within 5 minutes of the machine being on (at low spin speed), it started making such a loud noise that everyone in the household was startled! The machine was vibrating so hard that everything on the table was falling over, and everything around it was shaking (including the granite, the wash basin, etc). My husband tried to hold the machine in place for 2 seconds (thinking it probably has not been fitted properly) but it was just wasted effort. We had to turn off the washing machine. Customer rep said that it is an “installation” issue only and will send someone over to fix it. Informed them of severity of the problem and that it is unlikely to be just an installation issue, but the machine just sounds faulty. Rep said that he will send the installation team to have a look, and if there is a problem with the machine (and not the installation) then we will have to call back. Engineers came and to our (and theirs as well!) huge surprise, shock and utter disbelief…there were BOLTS still in the washing machine!!!! How on earth can two qualified integrated washing machine fitters / installers NOT remove the most obvious and visible thing is beyond my (and anyone else’s) understanding! How on earth they “tested” it and said it worked fine with a bolt in the machine is on another level altogether! Engineers told us that they would report it back and that we will then receive a call to arrange for a replacement. They said that the appliance is not fit for use anymore, so they cannot install it. Called Know-How again and all we got was a “sorry”. Informed us that the washing machine we have is out of stock so they cannot do the replacement. We asked to speak to a manager about this and the whole horrible and frustrating experience we have had with Currys and Know-How so far but manager refused to pick up. Anyway, loads of call promises from KnowHow but not one single call back. We had to call every single time and be faced with the same horrible service. Still no solution provided to my issue and no news from Currys or KnowHow. Absolutely disgusted!

I have shopped with Currys on many occasions, and every time I've had an issue. More fool me for continuing to shop there. I've had problems with both the instore service and delivery in the past (recent past may I add, in the last 9 months). Incorrect information given instore costing me an extra £200 for another product, to deliveries not coming on the day they were supposed to. Most recently I walked in to the Tamworth branch of which a few weeks earlier I spent just under £1000 on a new TV, only to be told they won't match a deal that John Lewis had in their store despite being told on the phone that they would. Needless to say I walked across the road about 200m and purchased from John Lewis...... And got 3 YEARS FREE INSURANCE thrown in on the Apple Mac Mini as I went in during a special promotion day. Please note, John Lewis also have 2 years warranty as standard in comparison to Currys who only have the manufacturers 1 year default option. Do yourself a favour...... Go to John Lewis as you will get a better deal. John Lewis staff also have more knowledge and speak to you much more like a human. CURRYS, YOU WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PENNY FROM ME!

Washing machine broke down, had purchased a extended warranty, have been without a washing machine for 35 days, so much for the 14 day promise of a new machine if they can't fix it, and they know there is a registered disabled person in the household, shame on Currys. "know how" should be called "know nothing do nothing"

Went into my local currys to buy a soundbar, I had my eye on either a bose or Panasonic which had a £90 trade in offer, the website said "trade in ANY old speaker product Inc old radios. I asked a member of staff about this offer and I was told you HAD to trade in a soundbar and not what the website states, couldn't be bothered to argue and asked for the bose aswell .... I asked what size optical lead came with it and he was very quick to say "they only give you bare minimum" an and gestured with his hands that it was under 50mm. ...... then it came ...."I can sell you a £50 fancy gold optical" he said... no thanks knowing that is way over the top , upon opening the unit at home I found the supplied optical was more than adequate at 1.5mtr long.... So my advice is when you shop with currys do your own research before and don't listen to a word they say as they don't know about products they sell and will lie to you ...

Don't know where to start so think its best just to say to potential customers of Currys there is a reason why their reviews are so bad and to take note. Usually items purchased are expensive so for peace of mind IMO you are best going to a company that have a positive feedback

Ordered dish washer from currys paid for installation and recycling of old machine. After about 2 minutes of trying they gave up trying to unplumb the old one and told me I needed a Plummer! They said The water wouldn't turn off, yet they didn't open all the taps or allow Sufficient time for the water that was in the pipes to drain out. Never been a Problem fitting the dishwasher before which was only 18 months ago! They said to call currys again when a plumber had been and fitted a new valve and they would come back another day. Told them to leave the new dishwasher and I would sort it all myself ! Appeared to me that the fitters were not qualified to do anything with water/plumbing and just couldn't be bothered . Now left with the old dishwasher plumbed in and the new one in the middle of the kitchen and have to find someone who can fit it for me, and have to find away to get rid of the old one! Not impressed

I would enter a minus star if it was an option. My parents had a freezer delivered 6 months ago and the delivery men dropped the freezer and badly damaged their wooden floor. After spending over a hundred pounds on their very expensive telephone number and having to source four quotes for a new floor (should have been 2 but currys lost the first 2), sending in photographs and doing everything they asked, they were finally sending someone out today between 11-3. My parents have waited in all day and guess what.....no-one turned up!!! This company is a joke and they should all wear clown masks!

Very poor returns. Queues for returns at Cheltenham branch very frustrating. Many staff in store seemingly doing very little. Staff on tills with no customers not willing to help Ben on the returns desk was having to deal with all returns, collections and repairs. He was so hard working The customers queuing for returns were all so angry, some declaring they will never shop at curry's again. This was Tuesday morning, not a busy Saturday.

I would like to express my deepest dissatisfaction with the appalling customer service demonstrated by the staff of your store in Swindon Greenbridge. My wife and I came to the store on her birthday, the 9th of February, as she wanted to buy a Kenwood KMC030 machine. We spoke to the sales consultant Lance, who talked us through the features, and completed the finance application form when we agreed to it. The store didn't have the machine in the warehouse (even though the Google Shopping site shows it as Limited Stock), and only had the demo model. So Lance told us he would order the machine and it would be in the store on Sunday, the 14th. My wife is really into cooking, and she really wanted the machine sooner rather than later. However we agreed to wait until Sunday to get the machine (pick it up from the store). We were promised a call. Sunday came, and no calls came with it. So at about 3pm we decided to visit the store to pick up the machine. However, when we arrived, we were given no machine whatsoever. And no apology for not informing us of the delay either. We were only told the machine would be available on Tuesday the 16th. Needless to say, today, on Tuesday, no calls were made by Currys to inform us of the status of the order. So my wife, again, came to the store to pick the machine up. Needless to say, she could not do it as the machine was simply not there. More than that, when she arrived into the shop, she saw Lance, who, having seen her, quickly disappeared in the rear of the showroom. My wife has now been to the shop 3 times, and was told the machine would be there on Thursday, the 18th. We have been deeply disappointed by the lack of communication, false promises, expectations which were not met. We would like the machine ASAP, meaning RIGHT NOW. I can not believe such a big retailer as Currys is unable to source it from another store or supplier / manufacturer. We would like an official apology from the general manager of Currys Greenbridge, Swindon, for appalling customer service provided by their staff.

This is what it's like ordering a washing machine from Currys. Delivery drivers arrive. They proceed to:  1. Initially refuse to install the washing machine, saying they had only been booked to deliver, forcing me to call Currys to sort it out (installation had already been paid for) 2. Crash their delivery van into the washing machine they were delivering, damaging it  3. Speak very rudely to both myself and each other on numerous occasions  5. Tell me they only had 10 minutes to be off site (how can they deliver, install, check, and remove that quickly?)  6. Spend less than 30 seconds hooking up the new machine,  failing to notice their was an issue with the water line connection.  7. Initially refuse to take my old machine away forcing me to call Curry's to sort it out (again) 8. Did not check machine was working, only pointing at it slowly spinning and saying "that means it works", ultimately leaving me with a non functioning machine  Several days later another driver arrived to look at the machine. He proceeded to:  1. Angrily berate me for not having answered the phone when he called "20 times" (he was calling the wrong number in spite of both my landlord and myself separately calling Currys to give them my mobile number and their call centre assuring me it was "in the notes."  2. Tell me how the first crew that delivered my machine must have been "Asians/Indians"  3. Tell me he wasn't racist before complaining about how angry it made him when he delivered to people who couldn't speak English properly. About two weeks later Currys agreed to deliver a replacement machine between 1:00 pm and 4:59 pm. They didn't show up. At 6:00 pm, when the delivery had still not arrived, I called in and was told that the drivers were "stuck on another job" but they were sending out another van to finish off various jobs and that I would receive a call on my mobile within 20 minutes. I never received a call. Around 7:45 pm, the driver apparently arrived, called my elderly landlord's number, and began yelling at him about my no longer being there. My landlord pointed out that he was almost 3 hours late, and he became verbally abusive. My landlord asked him to discontinue his verbal abuse and the driver hung up on him. Delivery was rearranged for a couple of days later between 16:00 and 17:00. Instead, the delivery drivers arrived at approximately 3:00 pm. When I explained on the phone that they were early, and I wasn't there, they told me that they didn't know why they had been sent, since their shift ended at 16:00 and that I would have to reschedule again. I refused to accept this, and he eventually reached an agreement with his depot to return. When the delivery men arrived they proceeded to initially refuse to install the washing machine or remove the old machine, saying they had only been booked to deliver. Pretty incredible when you consider they were delivering/installing a replacement.  I emailed Currys describing my experience and asking for compensation for the inconvenience and additional costs that resulted, but not only did they refuse, they also refused to even discuss it with me further since my landlord had purchased the machine (I'm the one that was repeatedly inconvenienced). You might save a bit of money buying from Currys, but I think it's worth asking yourself what your time and aggravation is worth. John Lewis will be the ones getting my money.

Poor online and Customer Service I purchased a camcorder and care plan before Christmas on sale. It was never delivered and Currys didn’t known when it could delivered. I was annoyed and cancelled the order. At the time of cancellation Currys agreed to send £20 voucher. It shame that Currys refunded the cost of camcorder and not the care plan. I had to call again to asked care plan refund. Agent was told me the refund has been processed. After two weeks no money received. Call again today to find out. I was surprised by the irresponsible answer received. I was told it will take 20 to 30days to receive the money over post. The reason for that was it was cancelled from store. I cancelled over the phone. But on the system shows from Store. When I asked, if it was on store, why it could not refund on my credit card instead of a cheque. The agent could not answer it. But repeats the same dialog again and again. Also not received any voucher too. Currys become untrustworthy store now a days. Currys Website says Cancelling an online or phone order cannot be processed in store.

The worst, most disrespectful, dishonest customer service I've ever received. Short version is: bought an oven which has broken four times in 8 months, once on Christmas day. We've tried to complain so many times it's unreal, all letters, emails etc have been ignored and unanswered. Have been refused access to a manager on the phone, lied to about my rights and told my own oven hasn't actually broken four times, by curry's employees. Spent fifty quid on a phone bill (over Christmas, mind you!) trying to sort it, took five days off work to wait for various engineers and they can't even find it within themselves to say "Sorry we ruined your Christmas"? We'll be following it up with ADS. Never, ever, ever shop there - there are better electronics shops out there!

I have a very long story to tell about the horrible experience i have had after sending my Acer laptop for repairs under warranty. It was sent back to repairs for a small issue - the laptop has intermittent charging issues, which was seemingly due to the power supply cable being loose in connection to the laptop charging socket. I had explained it to the person at KNOWHOW counter at Currys in High Wycombe and even showed it to him so that they correctly understand the issue. It came back from repairs on the 13th of Jan, with a letter inside the package that they had taken great care in resolving the issue and their quality assurance had done a through test to see that everything was working properly. I brought the laptop home and found the issue with charging was still. I called the KNOWHOW centre which took me good 30 minutes to get to them, and the person on the call checked the records and told be that they had rest the software on the laptop and installed the required drivers and had done nothing with the power supply problem. They assured that they will solve the actually issue within 4 days of the laptop coming back to them. I sent the laptop again for the repairs around 18th Jan and now they are waiting to receive the powersupply, and hence till date the laptop is lying with them. Called them many times, each time with them on the phone for hours , moving the call from tech support, to after sales support . On 2nd Feb, someone from after sales finally acknowledged that they could not provide a date for the fix , hence they were willing to exchange the laptop with a new one or process a refund. She was willing to take the order for the replacement, but since the same laptop was not in sock, I was asked to order another one for a similar price and if new laptop was more expensive , then I would have to pay the difference. Hesitantly I agreed for the same and told her that I will check what is on offer on the currys site and then order the new laptop. After selecting the laptop, I called them again. I had to explain the whole story repeatedly. Finally the person on the call agreed to process the refund told me that the money should be in the bank in 2-3 days. Luckily, before buying the new laptop I called KNOWHOW to confirm through an email that the refund is being processed so that I have a proof of refund coming in before buying the new laptop. Not to a big surprise, the lady on the call pretended to find no history of refund going through and I had to be on phone with her for another 30 min explaining the case. She promised to call back in a "few" minutes.. - NO call back I call again which I am still on - my phone shows the call duration to be 1 hour 20 minutes and I am listening to music..... SUch a frustrating experience .... dont buy from CURRYS is not honest advice.

Went to look at a television with a view to buying. Member of staff really not interested and talked in jargon. Even though we wanted to buy he said that nearest one for sale was some 60 miles away and that he couldn't order at the time. No thought of taking my number and ringing me when he had some information. Bye bye £550.
