Just placed an online order on the basis of a prominent messge saying "Get free next day delivery if ordered within the next 4 hours" but the confirmation displayed said it would be available from 7 days hence. I called to query this and had to make two calls to two different numbers and speak to three different people before finding anyone who would even comment. Unfortunately his only comment was that someone would email me back. Free next-day product availability is now the norm with the likes of Argos. For Currys/PC World to advertise it and not deliver it (and, apparently not even try) is simply false advertising and illegal. Why is there no zero star option?!

I purchased an ESSENTIALS CSPHOBX15 Electric Solid Plate Hob - Stainless Steel in April 2015. Within lees than 6 months the rear plates have rusted and bits are crumbling off them. Contacted customer services who sent out an engineer to said it was due to spillage and as a consequence was told as it was not mechanical it would not be repaired. So be warned if you buy this product do not cook on it unless you want an unsightly appliance in your kitchen. Have shopped in currys for years but will take my business elsewhere

Recently bought a washing machine. Picked one out in store, paid in store, arranged to be in for next day delivery. I took a day off work to wait in, and the washing machine never got delivered. The delivery man called to tell me that someone would call me and arrange a new delivery date. Got a call the next day which I expected to be regarding re-arranging a delivery date, but was in fact them letting me know they were 5 mins away. I was, or course, at work. Washing machine eventually got delivered, and it was the wrong one. Called the awful customer service number to be told the only option was to go into the store. Off I pop in the evening to see why we got the wrong washing machine. Turns out they'd put the wrong prices and descriptions on the machines, so the one we picked out had another machine's info on it. After much arguing we finally got them to agree to give us the one we asked for and thought we had paid for. I will never use Currys again and consider it my civic duty to warn anyone who will listen to shop elsewhere.

Ordered a splashback for the kitchen from Currys online. When I rang to check the delivery time, I was told the order hadn't gone through and I would have to cancel and reorder and they would refund the original payment. The product arrived but they charged me twice and did not credit the refund. When I rang customer sevices ( 15 minutes wait to get through) I was told there had been a glitch and the refund would be made within 3- 5 working days. This didn't happen so I e-mailed customer services - and got no reply ( or acknowledgement). So I rang customer services again ( another 15 minute delay) and was given no explanation for the lack of refund other than it should have gone through . I am still waiting for it and would advise against using Currys because of the poor customer service.

On 17th October 2015. I took my laptop to Currys in Peterborough for data retrieval. I should have picked up the inefficiency of the service right at the start. The sales person dealing with me had no idea what to do. I was told the work would take 5-10 days. 2 weeks later, I contacted Currys and no one could tell me how much longer it would take. I was told the team dealing with the retrieval were not contactable. It is now coming to a month and I still have no idea what is happening to my laptop. The staff at Currys have been unhelpful. The manager was totally clueless!!! What an appalling service. I would advise anyone against using the data retrieval service. I hope I can at least get my laptop returned eventually. Definitely not recommended especially if information is required urgently. A month is too long to wait. Terrible customer device!!! Takes forever to get through to their customer service!!

I have been a customer for many years with PC World and Currys and have always bought from them and have spent a lot of money over the years. I have just received the worst service ever, I placed an order up to £900.00 for a simple hood and hob. Needed it delivered as soon as possible so I went ahead and ordered as it was a next day delivery and two items on Monday. This was advised by the sales team on the phone and an emil confirmation from them. I sat around all day on Thursday waiting for my order and nothing turned up, I called the customer services team for an update and they could not tell me what has happened to the order and when it would be delivered. I wasted nearly three hours on the phone speaking to their delivery team, and no one could give me an answer. I asked to speak to a manager and was promised a call back yesterday. No call.... This morning I have spent yet another 2 hours trying to find out about my order and no one still knows what is going on. This is absolutely appalling service. I could have gone to AO.com and would have got next delivery and the items where cheaper!!! Anyone placing an order with Curry's, think twice before doing it. I now dont know how long it will take for them to refund my money????

Visited Currys last year for advice on which computer to buy for my son who wanted a gaming computer for Christmas. Advised that we needed a Lenovo All in One which would do everything the gaming computer would do and more! Didn't realise what poor advice we were given - computer doesn't have a graphics card. Complained, but currys said there was nothing they could do. Don't listen to advice from their sales assistants - I'm £600 out of pocket.

Will not order anything to be delivered from Curry's again. Had a large upright Zanussi fridge delivered today. Well done, it was well within the given time slot, and put exactly where I wanted it to go. However, once in place I was told not to touch it for four hours. So, not only did I not get to check that it was in a satisfactory condition before the men left, but was left to unpack it myself and dispose of all the packaging! Being 4 foot 10 inches tall and having a serious lung condition this was out of the question. How do they expect anyone to move and lift a fridge on their own anyway? My husband is working away for the next two weeks so I still don't have a working fridge! Thanks very much Currys. Can you tell me what the point is of your next day delivery service? Shameful customer service!

I wanted to purchase 4 items from curry's, fosse park, leics Weds, 4 November '2015. After an assistant finally come over to us {bear in mind the store was nothing short of empty!!} After explaining what we required & asked if the 'online offer' could be reciprocated in store; Her manner, response & lack of enthusiasm was shocking, here I am looking to spend £3,000, she had absolutely no idea, wouldn't assist when asked to call someone & nearly @ a point she quite defensive. Curry's need to instill further customer service training in their stores. And take a leaf out of other leading stores books. Hence my goods were purchased from elsewheref!!

Will not use currys again had a new cooker delivered end of October 2015 found it was damaged on unpacking phoned the help line and had a new one sent out as a replacement 48 hrs later so far so good until the new/ replacement cook became faulty after 2 phone calls to the customer service department we got a engineer out to look at it which took 10 days!!! he said he could fix it but we were entitled to a new replacement as it was less than 28 days old Now the fun starts rang customer services on hold for 15 mins only to be transferred to a different department and kept on hold again for 15 minutes Then told that we would need to go back to the store as its more than 7 days old ! And they can't do anything about a replacement unit So I need to take the engineering report to the store to get a replacement cooker ? How unhelpful ! So after the customer service advisor said would you like to make a complaint I said yes please she said can I take your telephone number which I gave she then said that the complaint would be dealt with internally! Great I thought until I asked would I get a call back to let me know how the complaint was deal ? O no was the reply we never call people back about complaints we never find out about them ! So I asked how do you learn from mistakes or complaints that are made ? The reply was "we don't get told anything about the complaint procedure other than to note them and they will be dealt with internally so once there logged we never get any results for them or hear about how their handled " Well what is the point of taking my phone number ? And it's no wonder there customer services are so very poor Now I've had to take the morning off work tomorrow to go to the store and try to sort a cooker out As my wife has her hands full with my 6 month old baby boy and 2 year old girl Trying to cook meals for them with a microwave and toaster While my £600 cooker waits to be replaced

Ordered an external hard drive. Web site cannot take an address where the first line is more than 10 characters, so had to order by phone. Received an email saying it had been sent. Tracking number supplied. Not delivered. Nothing on Royal Mail website. Tried to contact Currys via website. A 10 digit order number required. Mine was 9 so no joy. Tried to call them. Phone not answered. The only way I could speak to a real person was to pretend to want to place a new order. Even then took 45 minutes. Was told it was out of stock and had not been sent. The saga continues! Amazon next time.

Bought a laptop for my daughters 14th Birthday on the 30th August 2015, two months later she goes to switch it on only to find that the screen has somehow imploded - like an ink spot. Took it back to Curry's who without seeing it - said is it the screen - implying to me that this is a usual problem. Curry's then tell me the screen is not covered by the warranty and we have had in fact broke it! I'm sure the staff are taught to be aggressive and dismissive. To break the screen where it was damaged would have taken excessive force - but the assistant stated even picking it up with your thumb on the screen could cause this damage - which is completely untrue as we then applied our thumb on the screen with strong force to no ill effect. Never ever would I shop at Curry's again and reading previous review's this seems to be unaminous amongst the reviews. Once you've paid your money for the goods that don't want anything more to do with it. I too will be writing to Watchdog.

I ordered a dishwasher from Currys. It was due to be delivered on 30 October so I took a day off work, I had to take a whole day as the company are not able to give even a four hour delivery window until the day of the delivery. the dishwasher that arrived was severely damaged and could not be fitted. Accepting that accidents happen I accepted a new delivery booking for the next day, 31 October. I waited in again only to receive a call telling me that while they had my dishwasher they had no-one who could fit it. Delivery was re-booked for 6 November and l booked another day off work. On 6 November I received a call informing me that the crew was ill. Delivery was re-booked for Sunday 8 November only to be followed on the day with a voicemail message telling me that the crew were unable to get in to work. I have no new delivery date and no offer of compensation as I write this.
