“Not great quality for price paid.”

“I ordered this box for a birthday and was advised it would be delivered on Feb 24th. It still hasn’t arrived on 25th and when I emailed to enquire, I was informed the delivery service had lost the parcel and they couldn’t send out a replacement until March. Only reason I didn’t give it very poor was because I was given a refund promptly at my request.”

“I rarely complain or provide negative feedback but unfortunately was quite underwhelmed by the Hello Kitty afternoon tea. This was a special treat for my daughter during lockdown and before a new baby’s arrival. Unfortunately she enjoyed only the scones. It was quite expensive and therefore I was disappointed.”

“This was my second order from this company. The first was for a cake for New Year which C&S were unable to deliver so I thought I'd give them another go. I can't fault the delivery...however that's the only positive comment I can make.”

“For the price paid plus delivery I feel the item was overpriced, the Lemon Drizzle cake was lovely, but the scones and brownie were just ok. I could taste the plastic on on scones which was really off putting, it was a shame as we were both looking forward to doing something different during lockdown”

“We were very disappointed by the truffles out of the four of us none of us liked them - although I did order another pack as a gift and they liked theirs. The Hot chocolate was fun and enjoyed. I’m a really Emma Bridgewater fan so that encouraged me to get this box, overall not value for money and very disappointing.”

“The sponge itself was quite dry and firm, soaked with a sugar syrup perhaps too, I'm not sure. The look and decoration is lovely, it just doesn't actually taste that good unfortunately.”

“Sorry we didn't enjoy them. Much smaller box than it looked in the Internet and the cakes weren't very enjoyable. The balls were stodgy and not very appetising to look at and the other things were sweet and not very flavoursome. Textures weren't pleasant. I was disappointed considering the price.”

“The ratio of the filling inside was bigger than the two slices of fairy cake either side of it. It was also not neat and refined which I would expect for the price.”

“The cake was well decorated but didn’t meet our taste and ended in the bin. The cream didn’t have any taste, just pure piece of butter, and the sponge was dried. I will not order again.”

Hi Elvira, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with your cake. We bake our products fresh daily, use all natural ingredients and make product quality a priority. The cake should be served at room temperature at which point the sponge should become light and fluffy and not be dry. I am not sure if you had stored it in the fridge, but this might explain the dry cake layers. “Can't really write a review as our order was cancelled before delivery. As the next date offered was far beyond our needed time we opted for a refund. This process was swift and easy, just a tad disappointed our Christmas gifts couldn't make it.”
