It's hard to give a good review as the cake was ordered for a specific occasion - a birthday - in plenty of time with a named delivery date...however it didn't come. There was no message from the company, just a delivery confirmation for the next day. I phoned and cancelled and received a refund, as the following day there would be no one at home. We went without cake.

Hi Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you had an issue with your delivery. We rely on third party couriers such as Parcel Force and DPD and this is not the type of service we wish to deliver to our customers. We have followed up with them on this matter. Kindest, Team C&S.

Disappointing, my previous cake from here maybe 1-2 years back was so much nicer. Didn’t really have that moist delicious chocolatey taste, was more dry and I felt like they are probably relying too much on sugar at the expense of my costly ingredients like cocoa for example, maybe that’s not the case but it is how it tasted

This cake was ok but for the cost, it was uninspiring.Firstly it was too high, so cutting it for children meant cutting a slice. and then cutting it in 1/2. I would prefer a cake to be of greater diameter and less height. The sponge was fine but the salted caramel was difficult to taste in the cream filling.The most disappointing aspect was the tiny plaque with the birthday message . P Abernethy

Specific cake ordered well in advance of my husbands birthday. We were unable to celebrate together as he works in UK, but our home is in Cyprus as, due to Covid he was unable to fly home. Cake was delivered on time, however although the label indicated the correct cake, it was actually incorrect in the tin and of a lesser value! The slip inside the tin was for yet another different cake! No response from email and over 200 attempts from my daughter and myself to reach them by phone. The matter was eventually recified over a week later, again we had to chase by email

The reason for the poor review rating was the delivery. I paid a large amount for a delivery before 12 noon. On the day of delivery I received 2 emails the first stated the delivery would be made after 12 noon and the second saying I had changed the delivery date to the following day! I was asleep when the emails arrived, I had not changed the delivery date. In the end the delivery was made on the correct day. When there is a choice of online options I feel the product was let down by poor delivery and I would look to use a different company in future

Cake was lovely. Bit disappointed that Cutter & Squidge's system glitched and lost my requested delivery slot. Even more disappointed that I wasn't offed a cancellation and just received a late cake that necessitated a second journey on my part, to deliver it.

The product taste and packaging were fine and I enjoyed them, however I was disappointed with how small the products were, considering the charge for them. Having also received some similar priced items from another company which were provided with a more / fair valued portion size.

Received half the amount of brownies I had ordered for a birthday. Took over a week to sort out missing items and no apology gesture. Brownies themselves were nice but small. Whole experience means I wouldn’t order from Cutter and Squidge again.

The cakes themselves were good. However the delivery/packaging and way in which this gift was delivered was really poor, which let the entire experience down. It was handed over upside down in a folded over paper bag. Really not a good reflection for the brand. And nor a pleasant experience for the recipient of a surprise gift.

Cake was awesome - 5/5 but let down on delivery and overall order process. Delivery was late (but the actual deliver person was great and careful) Order process - could be improved - the date was missing from the order confirmation. Emailed a few times to get that corrected but never was. Also the personalisation payment wasn't taken and therefore delayed the delivery.

I bought this cake for my sons birthday- it’s so small!! I admit i should have paid closer attention to the description and especially (the very small font) that gave the size-but I presumed from the photo and price it would be a decent/ average size cake. It tasted pretty good but was no where near as decadent as the photo might suggest. I think this is a lot of money for a small, gift cake.

Unfortunately this gift was delivered late, 3 days late and one of bottles of Prosecco was smashed. However the company gave me a full refund and a £15 voucher (which I’ve not received yet) to use them again so I do experience how good they are. I will do this as the couple who received the afternoon tea said it was really lovely despite all that was wrong with getting it. Fingers crossed I get my voucher.

Hi Anne Marie, I'm really sorry for the problems encountered with this order. I see it was delivered 2 days late due to bad weather in the delivery area and the recipient acknowledged this problem. I do apologise that one of the two bottles of prosecco was smashed in transit. I'm pleased to note that the recipient was happy with the treats received despite the problems and a full refund was given to you. The gift card has also now been emailed over :) Kindest, C&S

Purchase journey was great and delivery too. Product especially scones was not so great. Found them to be dry, and would’ve preferred fruit version but couldn’t find an option for this in the basket journey. Brownie and lemon cake were ok and fairly moist, but the main reason for buying was scones and really disappointed. Wouldn’t buy agin sorry.
