“The cake was good but I was extremely disheartened that the message I wanted to convey wasn't printed anywhere (this was offered as a part of the service and one of the fundamental reasons I chose this company.)”

Hi Tom, Thanks for your review. I can see you did indeed request a message and I just wanted to confirm if you checked inside the plastic docket on the packaging. “The decoration was nice but unfortunately the cake itself was dry ancon the hard side. Definitely wasn’t worth the park they charged. Sorry”

We bake our products fresh daily, use all natural ingredients and make product quality a priority. The cake should be served at room temperature at which point the sponge should become light and fluffy and not be dry. We are not sure if you had stored it in the fridge, but this might explain the dry cake layers. “Quick delivery however crackers were smashed into bits and therefore inedible. I contacted them and was offered £10 off my next order! They said was courier damage, but it was all well packaged and the packaging not damaged so must have been done prior to packing. A shame because made the product poor value for money and disappointing for recipient.”

Hi, Thanks for your review. The description you have provided doesn't coincide with my personal experience of our cakes. Our cakes are handmade with 100% all natural ingredients. Our sponge is indeed soaked to give added moisture, the buttercream is our light Italian meringue. From my experience in colder climates/seasons our cakes do take a long time to get up to room temperature as they are made with 100% butter. We also chill our cakes for transport so they don't get damaged. The cold does inhibit the taste of cake but really comes to life when it is at room temperature and the buttercream texture becomes soft like whipped double cream. “We love the cakes and biskies but the delivery service used needs to improve. More than once we paid more for delivery in a selected time slot (12-4pm) but the delivery would be hours late and the courier would be nonchalant and unapologetic. Another time we ordered two boxes of biskies and only one was delivered. We appreciate the vouchers you offered as apology, but it would be hard to order for events with delivery being so unreliable.”

“Hi, we ordered from Cutter & Squidge for the first time. I found the cake too sweet and it was a bit eggy (as if it hadn’t been under baked) The texture elements on top of the cake were good but overall it was too sweet and not what we expected.”

“The cake was delicious. But the packaging said all about how the company uses free range eggs and real butter which was quite off putting as a vegan because It made us feel unsure weather it was a mistake and wasn't actually vegan. It didn't say vegan on the cake packaging or list any ingredients”
