“I have ordered a pack of brownies for my friend typed into recipient address his address, I remember as it's a long address. However, brownies arrived to my address and I was shocked how unhelpful your customer service team was.”

“The delivery was very good but the cake was really dry, did not taste nice and we couldn’t eat the whole thing, which is a real shame as usually a big fan of cutters and Squidge.”

“Cake was good but delivered to the bride a day late! Customer service was terrible. After a failed delivery when the recipient was in, the only option I was offered was to pay for another delivery charge for a second attempt on the same day! I pointed out this was the responsibility of C and S, not the customer. The customer service lady was young, naive and had no authority other than keep repeating that the computer says 'no'. Sadly, after being a loyal customer for a few years I've found a new cake/brownie supplier and already found them to be more friendly, and accomodating. Shame.”

Hi, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear what had happened with your order. I can see from investigation this order was attempted to be delivered on the day selected by you however this was unsuccessful as there was no answer from the recipient. I can also confirm the number provided was also contacting but again unfortunately there was no response. We do rely on third part couriers to deliver our orders and unfortunately based on no response their policy is to try to deliver the next day free of charge which I can see happened and your order was delivered successfully on this occassion. Again I am sorry to hear what has happened and do apologise for any inconvenience caused but our courier service did attempt to successfully deliver but after no response they were unable to wait any longer as this would effect other customers orders for that day . The cake should be served at room temperature at which point the sponge should become light and fluffy and not be dry. We are not sure if you had stored it in the fridge, but this might explain the dry cake layers. “Hello the goods arrived beautifully packaged and on time- thank you. I thought the cakes were ok but very very dense. I was disappointed with the quality and taste of the cakes. The hot chocolate swirler’s were lovely. Thank you.”

“Have ordered a few times and have always been thrilled. Was disappointed in the Christmas cake which was quite dry and nowhere near as delicious as all the other cakes we’ve had in the past.”

“I really felt it was overpriced. One tiny truckle of cheese in the cheese, biscuit and prosecco box. Delivery was quick though and nice ideas for gifts. I’ll put it together myself in future though.”

“I ordered a festive afternoon tea box for my parents who have been isolating due to the pandemic. Unfortunately the contents was underwhelming and satisfactory at best, which was disappointing.”

“not happy with the cake or the delivery. Waited all day for the cake and tracked it in my area before it disappeared. Apparently driver said I wasn't home when I clearly was! Next day waited and waited and then was told it was delivered. Apparently driver just left it in the flat foyer without bothering to come up to the flat at all. Cake was ok, but the filling was just too too sweet, had to throw it away. It's a pity as I had used C and S for delivery to my daughter's boarding school, that's why I wanted to see if it was really nice as the reviews said. Sadly I will look elsewhere”

“Purchased a hot chocolate spoon set as a gift and with no way of looking at them as box arrived sealed up (not a bad thing) but (would be a bit obvious if I opened them prior to gifting) we have since had a good look now gifted and one appears to have white mould and most have poor dates seems the hot choc spoons are not included in the made every day quote they imply. And delivery is not worth it. Overall not a good quality product for the price.”

“Courier company wouldnt allow me to change address or choose a time or date. Theyd deliver day one if no response theyll come again. I called to change delivery date and was told its not possible”

“It was dry compared to previous order. Delivery did not came on time. Could not share with people after dinner party. :( It was packed on 2nd of Dec and expiry date was 8th. It was delivered end of 5th. One of box's seal was opened already.”

“Although the cake looks good, the taste was nothing special than any cake you can buy from supermarket. We didn’t taste the freshness of the cake as something you want to have if you buy a cake from a bakery. It was felt as it was done days ago hence the taste was like a supermarket cake. Price/value standpoint, it didn’t meet the expectation. On a plus side, they delivered on time and the box the cake put in was pretty solid.”

“Ordered a Cutter & Squidge lemon drizzle cake for partner's birthday. Although the delivery fee was outrageously expensive the cake arrived outside of the time window specified (paid extra for a 2-hour window). The cake itself looked gorgeous and was well protected by its packaging so this was a positive. The cake itself was incredibly sweet, inedibly so for my partner. Given reviews on other cakes saying how sweet they are, I dread to think how much sweeter the other cakes could be. Overall this service could be fantastic, given the good cake packaging and that the cake did arrive in good condition, looking great, however until the sweetness is seriously toned down I cannot recommend it.”
