“The cake was hard and tasteless and so disappointed with it. The petals on the cake had dried up and were chewy. On the whole a let down birthday cake.”

“Ordered the yuzu cake for my husbands 30th birthday. Usually we visit cutter and Squidge every so often for afternoon tea so was really looking forward to ordering a full sized cake for a small gathering. We were disappointed to say the least in the yuzu cake. Not only was it dry, it lacked the sweetness we were used to from past cakes we've eaten at the bakery. Husband is not even a very picky man and he couldn't even take two bites of the cake! Really let down as I've always loved the cakes at Cutter and Squidge and never tasted a cake this bad that even all our guests disapproved of. Sadly will have to look for another Bakery to order future cakes from. Cannot fault delivery and service though 5 stars for that 👏”

“The brownies were not a uniform thickness, several were broken. Seems more is invested in the packaging than the quality of the product.”

“We received the afternoon tea box and the cream was blue with mould - it was a gift for a grandparent so really disappointing. I have images which I’d be happy to share, the cream was in date so I can only assume it wasn’t sealed.”

“When ordering, the auto fill copied the delivery and billing address as the same even though these were a gift to be delivered to a different address. I immediately emailed to correct the billing address. I was told that there was nothing they could do do. Very unhelpful. I tired to contact the delivery service. Again I was told there was no way to change the order, despite emailing within seconds to correct it. The brownies got delivered to my home address while I was at work. They then went to a depot a good 20 minutes away which I had to collect them from. The most irritating part was that they would have fit through the letterbox!! The whole thing was just infuriating. I eventually just ordered some from a different website. When I picked the brownies up they were just ok. What a lot of hassle for a gift that should have been easy.”

“Carrot cake tasted nice and fluffy and not too sweet but the decoration left much to desire and looked like a cheap M&S cake. Appearance wise it was most disappointing.”

“Lovely but expensive cake as ever. Ridiculous customer support that essentially was ‘computer says no’ when you try and use a gift voucher (that is essentially pre payment) to pay with discount code.”

Hi Jeanine, We are disappointed that your order didn't arrive in time, unfortunately DPD is a third party courier that we must rely on to do our nationwide deliveries, regardless this should not have happened so we have reached out to you in hope to rectify the situation. Kindest, Team C&S

“Had a voucher for a Xmas afternoon tea There were no Xmas afternoon teas left so we had to order a normal cheaper one. Tried to add items to make up price difference. It was impossible without paying extra postage, which seems mad. Didn't pay extra for a reasonable delivery slot. Was supposed to arrive anytime before 9pm. It arrived after 11pm and was left outside all night. Cake was nice. Scones were average. Loads of plastic packaging. I think we got it half price but didn't seem to be a bargain.”
