“Unfortunately the cake was missing a birthday message which was disappointing. Also the passion fruit flavour overpowered the pistachio, so it wasnt well received overall.”

“The Yuzu and Mango cake looked pretty, but the sponge was dry and the cream was very waxy. We left the cake out for a couple of hours before eating it, but still quite dry, and cheap tasting. The presentation and delivery was good.”

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are sorry for your experience with us didn’t match your expectations this time. We bake our products fresh daily, use all natural ingredients and make product quality a priority. The cake should be served at room temperature at which point the sponge should become light and fluffy and not be dry. We are not sure if you had stored it in the fridge, but this might explain the dry cake layers. We use all natural ingredients and we always keep our fat and sugar content to "just as much as needed to make something delicious” If you want to email us at hello@cutterandsquidge.com we would be happy to help you find a product you will like. “Beautiful picture but not very tasty and it’s been delivered 3 hours later. And we paid for that particular slot. Very poor service, I am sorry for being mean but that’s the truth”

“Have had a birthday cake delivery and afternoon tea delivery. Cake is ok but really really not worth a premium price. Won't be ordering again. Afternoon tea is a 1/10. Really sub par everything”

“We’ve had 2 under par deliveries. One for afternoon tea which we couldn’t eat most of as it had broken up or arrived a little off and the vegan wheat free brownies which were not quite right. I think they are trying but could do with employing a better development team to ensure the recipes are worthy of the price point.”

“I had high expectations after reading amazing reviews about the cakes. I ordered a lemon drizzle lemon cake for my dad birthday and unfortunately the cake turn out to be very disappointing. The cake was beautiful presented and arrived in a beautiful box but in terms of flavour and taste it proved to be just disappointing and overpriced in comparison with other competitors. Cutter and Squidge advertise that the price reflects the high quality of the product but unfortunately the cake was simply average.”

“Quick delivery however crackers were smashed into bits and therefore inedible. I contacted them and was offered £10 off my next order! They said was courier damage, but it was all well packaged and the packaging not damaged so must have been done prior to packing. A shame because made the product poor value for money and disappointing for recipient.”

Hi, Thanks for your review. The description you have provided doesn't coincide with my personal experience of our cakes. Our cakes are handmade with 100% all natural ingredients. Our sponge is indeed soaked to give added moisture, the buttercream is our light Italian meringue. From my experience in colder climates/seasons our cakes do take a long time to get up to room temperature as they are made with 100% butter. We also chill our cakes for transport so they don't get damaged. The cold does inhibit the taste of cake but really comes to life when it is at room temperature and the buttercream texture becomes soft like whipped double cream.
