I'm really sorry to say that after all the magnificent and thoughtfully, well packed deliveries during the last year, this particular component of my order was truly disappointing as it appeared to be just thrown into the box. The most disappointing thing was that I had no folk only trees. Some of the trees were broken too which I understand because they were an outside of London delivery. However the box of vegan brownies were also very poorly packaged and on reflection (because in the scheme of things a box of damaged consumables is not really life threatening), I think the damage was probably caused by very little packing on the inside of the box; the box being too spacious to hold the smaller boxes so that they had freedom to move about and become damaged. My previous deliveries earlier in the year arrived in perfect condition. However, again, I am considering whether to order a birthday cake for my vegan son's birthday on 15th February so that I won't be disappointed. His birthday is obviously very close to Valentines Day so if demand is high, maybe not quite so much care will be taken with the packing. I'm really sorry that I had to write this review and if C19 had not been so prevalent in our lives I would have been very upset as the Brownies were a significant part of my Christmas catering, but as that was non existent, I just gave everything to my vegan son who didn't really understand why I was so upset that I had ,"trees" instead of "folk".

I am sorry to say that this was a bit of a disaster. The order date was booked in several weeks in advance as ordered as a Christmas gift. 2 days before the expected delivery the delivery date was delayed by 1 day. Then on the revised expected day of delivery, 24 December, after tracking the package all day the courier company updated the tracking to say the item was returned to the warehouse as the address allegedly could not be found. No attempt was made to contact me. I then called the courier and I was told there was no way for me to collect the item and it wouldn’t be redelivered until 29 December. 90% of the product was fresh food with a shelve life in the fridge of 3 days so by the time it was delivered it all had to go straight in the bin. I was given a refund, and most of the issue was not Cutter’s direct fault, and of course the bank holidays /Xmas was the main reason for the delayed redelivery. But a model based on delivering fresh and perishable food requires a top end courier service, like DPC. The customer pays for the delivery (more than 10% of the product cost in this case) so I don’t see why this wasn’t the case. All in all, I was left with no gift for the person I bought it for on Christmas Day, frustration with changing delivery dates, and then a box full of stale expired cakes.

Very disappointed, the delivery was a day late and ice was melted by then and also the afternoon tea didn’t even have a tea in there despite the description saying there would be one

Very disappointing. Completely overpriced. Get the same from a supermarket for a fraction of the cost. Don’t waste your money.

Hardly any filling this time so small they all messed up in their trays not half as good as last lot I had very disappointed

Not particularly impressed with any of the elements of the afternoon tea if I’m being honest. I was so excited to receive this and really disappointed. The blondie and cake were not particularly tasty. Packaging etc very cute and well done but I didn’t feel that this was good value for money at all

The cake is tiny, not worth the amount you pay for it. It will probably feed about 4 people. the delivery was on time but the driver was basically tossing the cake around. definitely not worth it.

Stodgy cake, lacking in flavor and cake tin lid very loose so cannot store the cake in the tin as will go stale Very expensive fir what we got , definitely will not buy again.

Sadly the scones were stale, the tea was missing and the jam had been replaced by tomato chutney. I complained and was sent a £10 voucher , sadly unusable,as a lower value than anything on the site .

The cake was dry and didn’t taste fresh. Very disappointing considering how much was paid. The happy birthday writing was terrible and looked like it was done by a child. Was very excited to try this cake but safe to say will not ever order again, not worth the money.

Cakes arrived 3 days late for my friend's birthday, after I'd ordered 7days in advance and specified the correct delivery date. Very disappointing. Wasn't at all impressed with the customer service following this mishap.

I had such high hopes for these, and coincidentally had tried one of your cakes a few days earlier at a friend's birthday (which was exceptional), but I found these just tasted extremely buttery and of little else :( . The cake I tried was amazing though!

Unfortunately order place 2 weeks in advance didn’t arrive until 3 days later after delivery date quoted! Apologies were sent, hopefully this can be prevented in future! Product was lovely though!

To be honest, I was really upset that I paid £6 for them to be delivered on Saturday (Halloween), and they didn't arrive until Monday. There is no way this was the recipients' fault as they were all self-isolating at home so have not left home for two weeks! I just wanted to make the situation slightly easier for them with a little treat. The brownies then arrived two days later, a bit stale.

It is the second time I’ve ordered the afternoon tea from you and both times there’s been an issue. First one - one of the cakes was missing. Second one - you included tomato chutney rather than jam!
