Doordash is one of the three major food delivery services in this college town. While they have the most options and are fairly reasonable, my biggest beef is that drivers can accept other deliveries, allowing your order to get cold. I offer large tips hoping the drivers will give me the best service, but this seems to have the opposite effect. Drivers who have already agreed to one order, see mine with the good tip, and accept that one as well. They deliver the first order, and then mine, which comes cold, pissing me off greatly. I have complained to no effect.

I love this idea of having food delivered - but DoorDash is not great. I think I’m gonna get rid of the dash pass. 1) I don’t get a lot of mistakes to my order - so that’s great. But the drivers run off so quick that if there was an order issue, then I can’t ask them about it. I’ve had to call or text drivers in the past to see if they had another part to the order, and sometimes they did - sometimes they didn’t. Pros and cons. 2) I really, really dislike that drivers take more than one order at a time. My food always seems to be semi-warm when they arrive. Not great. 3) I wish we could do more than just star each order at the end. If I could make a comment, maybe Door a Dash would improve. But you have no idea why I gave a 4/5 star rating, etc.

PLEASE train your drivers to read the special request. Some do ALOT do not. I simply ask them to leave outside and do not ring the doorbell and they do anyway. I have a bidet roommate and a baby here and it’s a really simple request. It’s happened multiple times.Jelisa

For those who really want to know the real deal, I ride with a "Dasher" and I can't begin to tell you how dumb the system is. Fast food restaurants wait for the driver to arrive and then begin the orders. Some of them make the driver do the ordering when they get to the restaurant and the way the order is displayed in the app is more than confusing. She gets orders that are being delivered up to 15 minute drives away from the restaurant, so she worries about arrival time, they are limited as to how long they can take, and the food being cold by the time it gets to the customer. Today, we waited for over 20 minutes at each fast food restaurant for food to be ordered, prepped and handed over while others who ordered ahead of our getting there were getting their orders AND drive thru customers being taken care of ahead of everyone inside the restaurant. We went to two very upscale restaurants and waited 15 minutes for the order at one and 25 minutes at the next one. Not only is this a lot of time spent for a little money, but any new orders are being given out to other drivers so my friend was missing a lot of opportunities to make money on other deliveries, plus my friend gets super upset because she had a 100% rating but people seem to think it's her fault that their orders aren't being done as promised and give her bad reviews, not to mention her ratings go down when the restaurant delays so much that she can't get the order to the customer in time. She does call and text customers to advise them and half the time they ignore the call or text and still think it's her fault. Last night we went to a pizza place and they were out of a "$5.00 item" and told my friend to just pick another $5.00 item. I asked her why the restaurant didn't contact THEIR customer to advise them and then ask them if they wanted to substitute it for something else. So my friend tried to call the customer and they didn't pick up a single one of the 4 phone calls so she just picked something in order to get the order to the customer. Then the customer had the BALLS to write a complaint about my friend, despite my friend telling her that she tried to call her to tell her what happened. All I can say, in ALL FAIRNESS, stop blaming the drivers, it's the door dash system that needs fixing, not the drivers!!!!! AND ANSWER YOUR PHONES WHEN YOU GET AN 800 NUMBER CALL WHILE YOU ARE WAITING FOR YOUR ORDERS.

Not happy with service and aditute, she is panicking and yelling at me. I am a patient and she gets mad at me, even so I tried to explain to her the way she kept on panicking. I am disappointed for first time user and after she come in she is more interesting on the cell phone during delivering. Not very professional.

I was not all happy with Door Dash. When I used to order two filets mignons sandwiches from Nifty Fifty and the food and the drivers are cool. But this week, I went to look at the Nifty Fifty menu from Grant Ave and found this items is no longer on the list. My sister called the Nifty Fifty to find out why and the person told her that Door Dash is no longer have this delicious sandwiches on the menu. The reason? Not enough money to make on it. What kind of stupid reason is that? I hope other delivery company make a deal with them and we order from that company.

All of my experiences were good up until tonight, my order was charged but when a half hour passed after it was supposed to be delivered I attempted to call the driver. The phone number was disconnected. I called the restaurant and they said this happens all of the time with door dash. They said they use postmates. I canceled my order, got credit and am now waiting to see if my new order comes through with no problems. Crossing my fingers.

Doordash consistently frustrates me. They just can't seem to check an order and confirm all parts are actually in the order. Very frustrating to consistently get my orders wrong.

I've ordered from Doordash a couple of times in the past and I was fairly satisfied those times. Last night I placed an order - it had been quite a while since I had ordered previously and I forgot that there was a credit card on my account for auto-charging. The order confirmation page did not say anything about my credit card being charged. Therefore, my brain defaulted to the same type of thing as the pizza places near me where I pay when they deliver. Thus the folks that I ordered for all gave me cash and when the Dasher showed up, I paid him that cash. Anyone looking at the amount of that cash and seeing it was just a bit of change over the total price of the order itself, should have known that the bills were definitely not just a tip. Any Dasher with any scruples at all, would have re-rung the doorbell and told me of my mistake - rather than just keeping all of that cash and taking off. Luckily the company itself has some scruples and they refunded my credit card -- and hopefully they will discipline the Dasher. I will be removing the credit card from my account - now that I see that is an option - and simply provide the info again each time I order.

Alot of restaurants don't give you option to customize order. I.e. subway: you cannot pick what veggies you want on your sandwich or sauces! I ordered a double cheeseburger from my favorite burger joint. I got 2 pieces of meat and 2 pieces of cheese between buns. I didn't realize I had to say I wanted it normal with veggies and mustard or mayo.also they called and said that I couldn't just order a burger, I had to get the combo. I said, "fine". Then I got no drink when they brought it. 20$+ for no drink, the wrong sandwich and fries

As a Dasher and someone who orders from Doordash, I have very mixed opinions on the company. On one hand, the concept of ordering food from the comforts of your home is a novel one, so long as you are willing to pay the additional service fees. And as a Dasher, you can choose to work at your own schedule and pace, so long as you have a car and insulation bag. The customer service is pretty high quality, too. On the other hand, I cannot stand for Doordash’s compensation plan and how tipping using the app ends up working against the driver and for the company. It seems ironic that the best way to treat your Dasher is to not tip at all, or to tip on cash. In addition, the rating system needs some improvement; as a Dasher, you cannot view who rated you (meaning if someone gave you a 1-star rating, you would have no idea who it was from and why you got that rating), nor can you expand upon your rating as a customer by inserting comments (unless you use the Help button.) Doordash is a platform at the end of the day that can be leveraged by anyone regardless of their character. Most of the Dashers I have experienced were fairly nice and courteous people. That is not to say that I do not have my fair share of bad Dashers, and I think Doordash can definitely improve in how they vet the right people to represent their company. There are so many factors that can determine your Doordash experience as a customer and as a Dasher: it depends on your area, the time and day, the restaurant, etc. I will reevaluate Doordash if my opinion changes in the next few months or so, but until then, I am satisfied with giving the service a 3 stars.

i give the company and most drivers five stars. but unfortunately I had a driver last night completely ignore me after trying to contact him to find out where he was after waiting two hours for my order. he sat in the same spot on my driver map for an hour and a half, if not more RIGHT NEXT TO THE RESTAURANT. His name was Luis. i was and am still frustrated about it. the company gave me credit and which was nice of them. but that doesn’t make up for the fact that i did not get my cheesecake lol. any who, your company is overall amazing, other than the occasional long wait and in this case forced to cancel order.

I have used Door Dash a lot but never again. I tried to cancel a order but took time to get through to Door Dash. By the time I got through to them the order was picked up. The person said he couldn’t refund money. Couldn’t get through to restaurant because they had a recording going off. Will not use them again.

Hit and miss with orders. I guess instructions are not read. Missing Items is reality. Drivers do not follow instructions. Get lost with your high price food deliveries. Its ashame. My hubby lives at the Seattle Veterans hospital and this is 1 way I thought I could send him his favorite foods. I guess not since establishments don't read .....

My biggest gripes are that the mobile app is a goddamned nightmare to use. Ordering something is a challenge, ordering what you want is a downright pain, and getting what you wanted is completely dependent on who your dasher is. One dasher I had screwed up mine and a friend's order twice in a row and I got charged for both, another time a different dasher got everything right so accurately to mine and my super picky friend's specifications that I almost wanted to call a newspaper. Still, with how much delivery costs and how the end cost of an order winds up being nearly double what I'd wind up paying for if I just drove across town myself, I'd like some consistency. Maybe not perfection, but consistency. Also: the referral system is boned. Two different friends that I've referred have not gotten me any credits like they should, which I am quite upset about, and one of them said the $5 off the first two orders that is promised to newcomers didn't work for him. TLDR: Your experience is dangerously reliant on whether or not the dasher you have is competent, and the referral system doesn't work half the time. Prices can be unreasonable, especially if you're ordering for less than three or four people.

There’s a problem If I get an order and it’s too far and i don’t want, or I don’t realize one popped up and I ignore it. It will automatically pause me but it won’t actually say i’m paused. It glitches and will say it’s looking for orders and look as though you are online but I know i’m paused cause i received the text message and app notification that i was paused for not accepting orders. Will not allow me to resume dash for about 25 minutes. Hope you understand and can fix the issue.

Terrible service. I waited 2 hours for a delivery that was supposed to take 40 minutes. After I realized it was taking way longer than necessary I used the help button which brought to a screen of choices. One choice was “where is my order” and all it said was it will arrive soon after we find a dasher. After I realized that I tried to cancel it but then it was to late to cancel the order with the restaurant. Very annoyed. I’m

I use DD 1-4 times daily. When my order is wrong I call and more often then not they don’t compensate enough Like ordering bacon cheddar wedges from Jack in the box but not getting the sour cream They adjust $2 I can’t eat them without the sour cream refund the full amount Last week I ordered wedges and got jalapeño poppers That was not my order but I didn’t get full credit Now they deactivated my account but didn’t email me or advise me!? I called and the best they can do is escalate the request to find out why my Acct is deactivated?? How many days will that take? I like the ease of the ap, the options and the no delivery fee since I use and pay extra to have that waived But for now I’m using Uber eats since you closed my Acct didn’t tell me didn’t compensate all missing items or wrong items and just last week removed my number 1 store Wine Rack from the platform
