door dash brought my food cold. The food was delivered in a plastic bag instead of an insulated container.

The delivery map is broken. They use Open Street Map and it's glitchy, the map breaks or won't display at all or it's flashing.... you guys need to fix this, it's an utter mess There's no support. They have no contact information on their site to ask a question or send in a complaint or issue with your account. You can only provide feedback on a specific order, and then only pick from a dropdown. Any attempt to contact them directly just puts you in a loop through their FAQ docs, there's no support.

I only used DoorDash twice. First time everything worked smoothly so I decided to keep using it. The second time, the dasher came on time, with good attitude. But I learned my lesson today: confirm and check the completion.l of order before letting dasher leave. I did not do it, and only realized that there were something missing. Due to this error, I had to let my friends wait for another 40min or so for me to rearrange the food. DoorDash gave credit for this error. I don’t know is the restaurant made the mistake or the dasher though.

Having worked as a dasher, I can say that there are many moving pieces here. The app, the restaurant, the driver and the customer. Most of the time, there are no issues. There have been times that the app sent me to a restaurant with no address. I have learned to unassign myself from those orders. I have waited as much as 40 minutes at a restaurant who claimed that the order was ready, and for that I ended up with a poor rating. I have had customers enter an incomplete address and not answer my texts or my phone calls for clarification. When I have been sent to deliver at large apartment complexes, it is like detective work to find the apartment, because many addresses are not clearly marked. At night, many home addresses are not easily found. I have been sent to high rise buildings for lunch deliveries and the app does not tell me the last name of the customer and there are no instructions as to where. I have been sent to businesses with locked doors and rated poorly because I had to knock twice. Navigation software is hot or miss, and traffic can always be unpredictable. This is not an easy job, but when things go well, its pretty good. When things go wrong, its very frustrating. It would be appreciated to not be blamed for the failings of other people not in your control. I have used Doordash for years as a customer, and its pretty much the same hit and miss. If a cog in the wheel breaks, the whole process goes with it. I would suggest more accessible customer service that is in the United States instead of India. No driver can force a customer to be responsive if they need additional information to make the delivery, nor can the driver force a restaurant to be prompt or correct with the specifics of the order. A driver cannot open the food containers to check for accuracy, so all we can do is to ask the restaurant to double check item by item. Overall, I have very high ratings, and that is because I have gone the extra mile each and every time, but admittedly it is frustrating when there is a problem and I lose an hour of delivery income trying to resolve it. I hope that the app and service improve over time, but as I said... all these moving pieces make every successful and on time delivery somewhat of a miracle.

Convenient way to get food delivery from restaurants that do not deliver. However, do not use the app to order food a day in advance, because I ordered dinner to be delivered the next day at 4:30 pm and it's arriving at noon, over 4 hours early. The app needs to be updated to send customers a text with confirmation of order and delivery time, so these mistakes are not made.

I'm a driver for door dash and I think it's a good company to work for , flexible hours and decent pay and you get to learn a lot of things around the city u work in . My only complaint is that us drivers get blamed for the tardiness of a Restaraunt not having the order ready or not even receiving the order until we show them . I also think we should not be held accountable for bad customer ratings because some of them are bias , a customer could leave you a bad review just because they don't like you or anything that has nothing to do with the service . i know as for me I try to accommodate the customer as much as possible but they expect miracles . All in all it's a decent job and it can be worth it , just keep gas in the car ..

Door dash is great when I order from work. There is little to no restaurants to order from at my house and I live in the city. 3/4 times my food has been hot an fresh. Sometimes the drivers are a little slow. I referred a friend and still havent gotten the $15 credit even after watching her get her food. Overall 7/10.

Doordash has amazing options. For me to work in downtown cleveland, very few places are up for delivery so that's a plus. The problem with doordash is that they have a bad habit of forgetting orders, and charging you the full price for an order the restaurant doesn't have. I'd suggest contacting whatever restaurant you want to order from first and make sure they have what you want before ordering otherwise you're out of luck.

So I have worked as a Dasher and wanted to give it from my end.. Dashers aren't supposed to open up food orders ever. When you get to the restaraunt, they're supposed to show you that everything is there, but most places actually refuse to do this, and they may even deal the bag to make it impossible to see, so if anything is missing, unless it's a drink, it's probably the restaraunt.

I've ordered with DoorDash for several months. I'm giving 3/5 stars because that's approximately how often I receive a correct order. From my understanding, the DoorDasher places the order when they arrive at the restaurant. Sometimes an item is missing, other times an entire portion of the meal is missing. They generally call for one reason or another. Maybe it's their version of good customer service, for me, I find it irritating. I love the concept of DoorDash, but, there is definitely room for improvement.

I’ve ordered from DoorDash 6 times now and I totally agree it is convenient and a good way to get food from restaurants that don’t normally deliver...if you don’t mind the surcharges. I don’t mind the surcharges in most cases but it seems like the Dashers are responsible for Re-typing or re-iterating my order to the restaurants. Out of 6 orders, 5 have been slightly incorrect...even at so-called “partner” restaurants like Portillos, the order came back wrong even though my receipt showed I entered it right. Very frustrating....and I would think beloved businesses like Portillos would be wary of such a business model. What has saved this rating from being a 1 or 2 is the drivers, who have always been fast and friendly.

I have been using DoorDash since they started, and use them on a very regular basis, but the last three times the orders have been wrong or the time for delivery has been entirely to long. Today I ordered lunch from a restaurant 10 minutes away at the absolute most. I normally would go pick it up myself, but could not get away today. I got the text when it was picked up and it took 40 minutes to deliver. I called the driver and he picked up multiple orders at the same time, and mine was the last delivery. Needless to say, my food is now cold and the driver was rude. I have been frustrated with DD and now, it's time to break up. Favor may be a little more expensive, but always fast and one order at a time. I'm in.

Like most services, door dash should ask for a tip after the service has been completed so people can give the correct tip. Yesterday, my order was delayed by 45 min. Door dash driver stated it was the restaurant's fault, but the restaurant stated the order is ready and there is no one to pick it up. I think it is ridiculous that you ask for a tip while submitting the order not knowing whether you will receive it on time and in what condition.

Yes you get better pay than on Uber eats, but the extreme lack of being transparent by the so called multi ways of payment a driver gets is head scratching. The time and miles seems to be pre calculated and not actual real time.....a pay for a delivery could be ex. $7.45,after delivery is made you've gotten that much (which it also say in the app,Tip Included) suspect. It's cool and especially when they don't seem to discourage tipping as another does.A down side is their support needs help, slow.

I am giving DoorDash 3 stars because although I have had several very good experiences, I had one VERY bad one. My food was over an hour late due to "driver issues". Support called me, but only after it was already late, to ask me if my food was delivered (obviously they knew it wasn't). After going back and forth with the driver (whom was extremely nice) and the support team, my food was re-made and finally arrived!!! The food was hot and fresh!
