Wrong item was received. Door dash said we would receive a credit for the item. Never received. Poor customer service!!!!

So I have worked as a Dasher and wanted to give it from my end.. Dashers aren't supposed to open up food orders ever. When you get to the restaraunt, they're supposed to show you that everything is there, but most places actually refuse to do this, and they may even deal the bag to make it impossible to see, so if anything is missing, unless it's a drink, it's probably the restaraunt.

I've ordered with DoorDash for several months. I'm giving 3/5 stars because that's approximately how often I receive a correct order. From my understanding, the DoorDasher places the order when they arrive at the restaurant. Sometimes an item is missing, other times an entire portion of the meal is missing. They generally call for one reason or another. Maybe it's their version of good customer service, for me, I find it irritating. I love the concept of DoorDash, but, there is definitely room for improvement.

I’ve ordered from DoorDash 6 times now and I totally agree it is convenient and a good way to get food from restaurants that don’t normally deliver...if you don’t mind the surcharges. I don’t mind the surcharges in most cases but it seems like the Dashers are responsible for Re-typing or re-iterating my order to the restaurants. Out of 6 orders, 5 have been slightly incorrect...even at so-called “partner” restaurants like Portillos, the order came back wrong even though my receipt showed I entered it right. Very frustrating....and I would think beloved businesses like Portillos would be wary of such a business model. What has saved this rating from being a 1 or 2 is the drivers, who have always been fast and friendly.

I have been using DoorDash since they started, and use them on a very regular basis, but the last three times the orders have been wrong or the time for delivery has been entirely to long. Today I ordered lunch from a restaurant 10 minutes away at the absolute most. I normally would go pick it up myself, but could not get away today. I got the text when it was picked up and it took 40 minutes to deliver. I called the driver and he picked up multiple orders at the same time, and mine was the last delivery. Needless to say, my food is now cold and the driver was rude. I have been frustrated with DD and now, it's time to break up. Favor may be a little more expensive, but always fast and one order at a time. I'm in.

Like most services, door dash should ask for a tip after the service has been completed so people can give the correct tip. Yesterday, my order was delayed by 45 min. Door dash driver stated it was the restaurant's fault, but the restaurant stated the order is ready and there is no one to pick it up. I think it is ridiculous that you ask for a tip while submitting the order not knowing whether you will receive it on time and in what condition.

Yes you get better pay than on Uber eats,but the extreme lack of being transparent by the so called multi ways of payment a driver gets is head scratching. The time and miles seems to be pre calculated and not actual real time.....a pay for a delivery could be ex. $7.45,after delivery is made you've gotten that much (which it also say in the app,Tip Included) suspect. It's cool and especially when they don't seem to discourage tipping as another does.A down side is their support needs help,slow.

I am giving DoorDash 3 stars because although I have had several very good experiences, I had one VERY bad one. My food was over an hour late due to "driver issues". Support called me, but only after it was already late, to ask me if my food was delivered (obviously they knew it wasn't). After going back and forth with the driver (whom was extremely nice) and the support team, my food was re-made and finally arrived!!! The food was hot and fresh!

Usually I love ordering from Doordash but today was a horrible experience. I usually get my food quicker then the estimated time. I ordered Subway at 2 pm with a 45 minute delivery time. I had 2 hrs before I went to work. Right at the 45 minute mark, I get a notification from Doordash that it would be another 10-15 minutes. I wait 10 minutes and it shows that the order had not been picked up yet. I texted the driver and he told me that he was turning into the Sunway parking lot. He apologized and said that there had been a bad accident. The Subway is about a 5 minute drive away so when I didn't receive my order within 10 minutes, I called Subway and they said that the Doordash person had not shown up yet. I text the driver again and he tells me that I will have my food soon. At 3:40 I text him again and he tells me that he is almost at my apartment. I tell him that I have to be at work at 4 so if he will not be at my apartment in the next 10 minutes he will need to deliver it to my job. I text him my work address and he says that he will be there in less than 5 minutes. It was an additional 20 minutes before I got my food. It took over 2.5 hrs to get something that was a 45 minute delivery. I contacted doordash thru the app and the representive called me several times without saying anything. Finally she speaks and tells me that doordash is going to give me a credit for delivery.

There were issues with our order but it was the restaurants fault, doordash customer service was very helpful and they made sure we got our money back

The phone app is much better because it allows you to sort restaurants by delivery time. The web does not have that button available right away - unless I am not looking right. But then... the website should be user-friendly like that. Additionally, when you are searching for a restaurant with beverages like "liter soda", the search comes up with quite a few restaurants but they do not have "liter soda", they just have fountain soda or can soda. It can sometimes be disappointing especially if you are trying to make last order time.

I was disappointed because the app indicates you order $20+ and delivery would be free. My second order was over $20 I still had to pay a delivery fee.

Door Dhas used to have such great service.. But recently, all they do is mess up the order.. It is always missing something or order is switched.. Since the retaurant doesn't take responsibility for it, I wish Doordash would make an effort to check and make sure the food ordered is correct.. Because it takes at least half an hour to an hour to wait for food so it's annoying to get orders mixed each time.. They do offer credit for mix up but it really doesn't compensate anything because your order is already messed up. It happened with last three orders in a row so I had to take my time to write this.. Hopefully they will read through this and find ways to improve!

You don't me happy or unhappy your cost is most expensive out of all delivery places between taxes fees etc a salad is $25 which is nutso
