DPD Zero stars - on reading other reviews of this company I can see I'm not alone in experiencing their totally appalling 'service' or should I say lack of it. Driver Drogo was late and it appeared that he had no intention of actually collecting my parcel. He allegedly knocked on the door -we didn't hear it but my partner saw him at the front door and called me to answer. In the time it took for me to rush out and ask him to collect - less than 1minute - he had cancelled the pick up and initially refused to take the parcel, which my partner had brought to the van. After an altercation that took place over approx 30 minutes, where I stood in front of his van and asked him to contact his supervisor to reverse the cancellation. We also tried to contact DPD Chelmsford ourselves, but to no avail, either by phone or email. Drogo decided to take the parcel but said that he would not accept responsibility.

DPD are obviously running their business without enough drivers. I've had repeated deliveries where the delivery date is pushed back by a day or two - there have been so many that these are the norm not the exception. I was expecting 2 parcels today. Both arrived at my local delivery hub overnight. Both showed an expected delivery for today, only to be later told that one of the parcels will be delayed until tomorrow due to unforeseen issues in my area (presumably nobody bothered to put the parcel with the one that IS being delivered and miraculously managed to avoid the unforeseen issue) My delivery window given today for the miracle parcel was between 3:14 and 4:15 - It is now 6:24 and the DPD app reports that the driver is "running a little behind and will be with you shortly" in 1 hours time. Luckily I'm not expected at work this week but that could change, meaning I've got to go through the hassle if rearranging the delivery and risk that being pushed back too. It's just shoddy, frustrating and a massive inconvenience.

Waste of time! They lie and drivers deliver to the wrong address and make up excuses. Multiple attempts to deliver my package and nothing. Lies stating package was declined, package delivered.. package on route. Their app, drivers, call centre and even management are a waste of breath. Yep even management. They called and said yes driver deliver to the wrong address - 2 miles away! And you will have to go get it. After finding house the package wasn't even there.. wrong address! Pathetic and I will never buy anything from anyone who uses DPD! angry about this disorganised company is an understatement.

Driver could not be bothered to go around back of property. Took a photo of the wrong door and missed out the door number because it was wrong number.

My parcels never arrived, dad informed me that I was not home which was not true.parcel went back to sender. No proper complaint procedures. Avoid this company!

Had three deliveries from Gusto, two were DPD. Both were delivered to wrong addresses. When I phoned DPD to ask where they were I was told they knew where they were but could not tell me, other than they we near, so I should go out and look around to see if I could find it. If not contact the seller, then he laughed.

The worst courier company in UK. The driver just put on the photo of his hand and showed 'we missed you' when I am waiting the whole morning at home. This is the second time I encountered this problem with DPD out of 3 deliveries I got but I never had such experence from other courier companies. It seems this is a very common problem with DPD judging from other users' comments. They should take it more serious toward the drivers who did this.

Dpd driver a liar as sent photo of road with little snow on?? What a excuse for not delivering, I’ve had half a day off work, to sought out other deliveries today which I’ve received from Amazon and also my shopping delivery from Tesco and Iceland drivers who managed to deliver to me,, i have ring doorbell evidence of these deliveries, but yet your dpd driver is a liar, jobsworth, that cuts corners and cannot do his job, why not employ someone that can do the job, will be putting full complaint in to dpd and also putting it on the internet and going to local press

They said they “tried” to deliver my package. Been home all day and my doorbell has NOT rung. Asked for assistance on online chat- waste of time!

I have been waiting for a parcel that was already delayed by a week. I wasnt at home but spoke to the driver on my Ring doorbell and asked him to leave it in my ‘safe place’ and i told him where my safe place was. He would not leave the parcel even though i said on camera that I took responsibility and would be home in 5 minutes. He still didnt leave the parcel. I phoned customer services and told them, they told me that it has to be logged on the system for the safe place and told me that the driver wouldnt return even though he would still be in the area. Not impressed with dpd on this occasion!

What a disaster! Delivered to the WRONG TOWN!!!! After my first notification, I called them, spoke to them, explained they had the wrong address. No problem, they said, we'll fix it. And today, I get notified it has now been delivered - to the earlier wrong town. Each time I expect a parcel from DPD, it is a disaster.

The worst delivery service available. A shame for the name. This is how they drivers show that "they've missed you" when all the family was at home and he didn't even rang the door bell. Disgusting

The rating should be in the minus not plus for this company! Here I am waiting for my Smart TV to arrive and get a text to say address query problem with the courier! Will probably never see my parcel this side of the new year if ever from DPD! Got the first parcel from them on time in the Summer okay when I had a parcel delivered first but,the second time was a nightmare! Near on four times they said the driver had turned up and I wasn't there and I was outside on the driveway the whole time they said he had passed by in the van!?!? They are beyond a joke of a company! When the driver did eventually near on two weeks after I ordered my parcel online later show up with my parcel he remained in the van didn't even get out! And to say he had manners would be a understatement! I never want to have a parcel delivered by them EVER again! Never again after my experience with them,and if your reading this take my advice... Avoid big time!

My Samsung phone is still no where to be found after their driver reported delivered to a neighbour. He put a photo of 2 legs of man standing against white door frame on what looks like a terraced house. He put a first name Mark, no face , no address for me to go and get my parcel. None of my neighbours have a white door frame, non ars called Mark, our houses are detached. 5 days gone and DPD Cant even get their driver to go and retrieve my phone. Driver knew my parcel was a phone. Totally unacceptable and left without my phone up to now. Beware of DPD.

Delivery schedule between 16.15 to 17.15. Sat in my dining room at the front of the house , curtains open, lights on, nobody came to deliver. email says driver missed you. total lie.

About 4 months ago a driver out of the Liverpool Stonebridge depot, called Stephen, delivered a 4 kilo parcel to a wrong address, took a signature from them, and photographed the delivery. Wrong people, wrong address, wrong signature, unknown photo. I caught the mistake, midday, rang within 30 minutes, and was told not to worry, they’d send him back to get it. £27.79 lost. The seller was a TikTok private seller. I was furious, so lodged a complaint. That was the start. To date, nineteen deliveries by DPD driver Stephen have been ‘lost’ , ‘ refused’ , ‘ undeliverable’ or ‘ no one home’ …. That’s a joke, I’m housebound disabled…where was I at the time? Paragliding? Mountaineering? Latest batch was 5 items from George Asda. 4 items were Black Friday deals. They’ve been returned to Asda, and if I want them again? They’ll cost me 40% more. I looked for an ombudsman to intervene. There isn’t one. This terrible company are employing thieves, malcontents, lazy dilatory scumbags , and we have only ONE recourse….. to sue them in the small claims court. But we can’t even do that. You can’t sue for terrible service, it has to be for financial loss. For now, where possible, check if the seller you buy from uses DPD. I now email every company I’m thinking of buying from before I order. No more Amazon I’m afraid. Terrible, terrible company.
