I use e-buyer regularly, and have always found them exceptionally helpful, as well as efficient in allowing late order for next day delivery. However, today's showing was far from good. I phoned this morning for technical help and advice - and was told that someone would call me back to assist me. I explained that I wanted to make the purchase today, so would like to speak to someone early enough to order online afterwards - and was told, no problem. I called back after three hours to check that they had my number and re-emphasize that I wanted to speak to someone today - and that it was starting to limit my time. I was told that they would pass the message on, and that someone would call me. At 5pm I called for a third time - and was told that call-backs can take up to 48 hours....! If I had been told this at 11am this morning I would have found another way to make my order. Instead, I've now ordered too late for the cut-off time - and my goods won't be delivered for another 6 days, due to the long weekend. I am very annoyed - today's showing is certainly not up to e-buyer's usual very high standards.

I entered all details without hesitation and the system through out a timed out message - so I went back in and started again and the system immediately doubled my order, without an option to back out. So I started all over again and my remembered sign-in ID then tripled my order. Fortunately I just about had an option to change 3 to 1 but this has put me off big.

A very good company when they get things right, but a real PAIN when they have made a mistake. My example :- Just before Christmas I purchased an expensive digital camera and an SD card for it. Hoewever E-buyer supplied a memory stick, Despite saying that I wanted to use my new expensive camera over the holiday, E-buyer were rigid in NOT correcting THEIR mistake until after the return of the memory stick, As a result the process took over 3 weeks and my holiday pics opportunities were ruined.

Hi John, Firstly I would like to offer my apologies for the inconvenience that was caused to you as a result of this matter. We do not expect for the wrong item to be sent to our customers when they place orders with our company and I am sorry that this has happened to you on this occasion. This will be taken up with the relevant department for the future as we do not want you to caused any annoyance during your experience with us. A very good company, great prices and very helpful service. For some strange reason the Isle of Wight is now a channel island? Last time I checked we are all paying vat, have a Portsmouth Postcode and only a stone throw away from the mainland? So now we have to wait even longer for deliveries and also pay an extra £8.00 fee? Used to use Ebuyer a lot for computer parts, upgrades and even bought my iMac from them but now I feel like they have shut the door in my face with the delivery issues!

Hi Neil, I am sorry for any inconvenience caused as a result of the postage charges which apply to the Isle of Wight. The delivery charges that we show are in agreement with the courier we use and due to the contract that we hold with them we are unable to amend this I'm afraid. As a result of this, at the moment we are unable to offer the Isle of Wight a free delivery service but this is something that we are always reviewing internally in an attempt to improve the service that we offer our customers. Your comments in regards to this matter are greatly received and I will pass them across to the relevant department to be looked into for the future. Once again, please accept my apologies for any annoyance caused. Kind Regards, Lucy

i have indicated poor in relation to the initial sign up process. I am running windows 8.1 with up to date browsers. I have the normally things allowed such as java and cookies enabled. I am not running through a complicated firewall. when you enter the purchase screen it asks if you are an existing customer, if you then click no, you would expect it to go to a sign up process it doesn't. After attempting to refresh the screen it still does not work. it then went in to what looked like the account page , but when you click on anything it just took you back to the initial sign in page. for you info i tried to sign up on chrome as well as internet explorer. I did not try it on Firefox as it is not installed on my machine. I don't know if you are aware of this glitch, or if any one else is experiencing it, so i though i would let you know. On a positive: your customer service rep was fantastic she signed me up over the phone and i have made my purchase. You platform looks user friendly and its great you can easily send you purchase to another address, other than the billing one. the purchase was for my mum so it saves me the drive taking it over there. thanks for you time in reading this feedback, hopefully it has been of help. stu

Asked to write a review immediately after ordering so hard to judge Ebuyer, however I found the shipping information contradictory, on the main order page it said order within 12 hours for free saturday delivery. When on the actualy shopping basket saturday delivery cost £10.95 and free delivery wouldn't arrive till Monday. Other than that buying process was quick and easy.

Hi Adam, I apologise for any confusion that may have been caused by the free delivery option on our website. I can confirm that usually if an item is described as coming with a free delivery option, if selected, your item would be delivered to you within 5 working days. However, if you have received an email about a free delivery this can often mean that you may have some free shipping tokens on your account which would entitle you to a free next day delivery service, but this is a next working day service and unfortunately Saturday is not classed as a working day I'm afraid. Once again, please accept my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards, Lucy

Be careful of delivery charges. Just because we have an IV postcode, we were charged extra £8 delivery.

Hi Denise, I apologise for the inconvenience caused by the delivery charges we have in place. Due to the contract we have with our courier, we unfortunately cannot offer a free delivery service to IV postcode areas at the moment. This is something that is currently under review for the future and I will certainly be passing your comments across internally as we are always looking for ways to improve the service we offer to our customers. Hi Malcolm, I am sorry to hear that you were having a couple of issues whilst trying to pay for your order via PayPal. Unfortunately when PayPal is used, we have no control over the information that they advise in regards to the addresses and if they believe that the shipping address you have chosen is not verified by them, they will change it to an address that is. I apologise that this has caused you an inconvenience on this occasion and I will pass your comments across to be reviewed further internally as we are always trying to improve the service that we offer to our customers. Hi Martin, If it is a business account you require, we ask for these details to ensure that we can register your company correctly through our system so that you do not experience any problems whilst placing orders with us. I can see from your order that you have a home account and once your order has arrived with you, you will be able to view your invoice by logging into your account. Unfortunately we do not send paper copies of the invoices, they are all electronic. I hope this information helps. Kind Regards, Lucy

had an issue with credit card payment which delayed they delivery, My fault so that's ok, I corrected the details and it set my for a deliver a week later, corrected that when it didn't turn up and I realised why, Set then third date and again a payment issue even though at the time it said it was fine and had been authorised, but no Email to tell me this time so this delivery didn't arrive, tried to change the details for payment to a more reliable vendor and couldn't change the details so had to cancel the order and re raise , hopefully this order will arrive !

E-Buyer seemed to be quite determined to send me elsewhere to make my purchase. They asked for my e-mail and password. I entered my e-mail but of course I had no idea what the password was as is was a while ago I made my last purchase (and I'm certainly not going to use my usual password as that would give the website access to my bank accounts). So I pressed the button for 'forgot my password'. Now it asked for my date-of birth. Again, I don't know which family member would have last made the order, and I would be fairly sure that everyone in my family is smart enough to know that you never enter personal information such as a correct date-of-birth in a web site that has no business needing to know it. I decided to go to Amazon as I knew we didn't get any of this hassle at Amazon. Unfortunately they didn't have the product in the same configuration, so eventually I made the effort to create another account with another e-mail address.

Hi Nigel, I am sorry to see that you have experienced some problems whilst trying to log into your Ebuyer account. Due to security we do ask all of our customers to enter a date of birth or a security question and answer so that we can make sure that no one but the account holder can gain access to any of the accounts, however I apologise that on this occasion you were caused an inconvenience by this. Hi JS, Firstly I offer my apologies for any inconvenience caused as a result of this matter. I have checked your order details and I can confirm that at the moment our main courier, Yodel, cannot offer a free delivery service to the Scottish Highlands I'm afraid and therefore we do have to charge for any deliveries to your area. Ebuyer are bunch of thieves. I was a very satisfied ebuyer customer until I placed an order couple of minutes ago. Bought a Micro SD card which quoted £5.48 with free delivery. Without any warning, I got charged more than this. Ridiculous! I will definitely think twice before buying anything else from them
