PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING FROM EVANS CYCLES. I urge you not to go through what I have, or it seems everyone else have. If you order a bike you will not receive it. If you try and contact them you will maybe get a response however it will be delaying the order further. I Ordered a bike on the 9th April 2020. Still waiting for my bike. I have been informed bike is delayed again. I have literally spent hours chasing this with still no idea when I will receive it. Genuinely avoid at all costs

Placed my order on the 12th of April, still no delivery or at least a response from their customer service team that i have contacted through as many forms as possible. 24 days since my order was placed and i doubt I'll hear back from them this week either, such a terrible experience for a first time purchase. Item status on the website stuck on 'waiting' for almost two weeks, not really sure what's going on and having ££££ out of your bank with nothing to show for it is quite upsetting.

Purchase a bike on 17/4/20 shown in stock on the system, a week later Evans cycles emails to say that there is a delay in the order, which given the current circumstances, is perfectly acceptable. 2 weeks after handing over my money, I'm emailed to say due to a ‘systemic’ issue, my order can not be fulfilled and i will be sent a voucher, the following day, I’m emailed in response to my order query from the previous week to say that the lead time is 18-21 days.... so which is it? Ive since been given the voucher, which i cant use as Evans cycles have nothing in stock in my size, Nice one, il use it as a door stop then yeah?!

DO NOT USE EVANS CYCLES. 07.04.2020 I ordered 2 Pinnicle Ash bikes in pink. I was concerned about size so I emailed them to seek their advice. I received conflicting information. Finally they said they were out of stock and would take a few weeks to come back in. 19.04.2020 I then emailed them to cancel my order. They responded to say ‘ok, it’s cancelled, you’ll receive your refund’ 22.04.2020 I receive an automated email saying my order was being dispatched. I immediately email them to stop the dispatch!! They email back saying ‘sorry, I have notified the courier to "not attempt delivery" and for the consignment to be returned to us. If the courier, Tuffnells, doesn't pick up my message and a delivery attempt is made, can you ask those at the delivery address to refuse the order please.‘ 23.04.2020 They did not notify the courier. The courier delivered it without consent, out their own signature on the delivery note and left. The recipient checked inside the box to find only 1 bike despite delivery note saying two. 23.04.2020 to date. I have emailed Evans Cycles numerous times directly to those who unhelpfully communicated with me and also via their online portal. I have heard nothing. I now have 1 bike not two yet paid for two when I cancelled my order. Appalling service and its cost me £480.

Visted the store back in 2012, I actually went in to try and get some advice on my first MTB and the main thing to get my bike size correct for my height After speaking to a sales guy I decided on a specialized and although I thought the bike size was to big for me he said it was perfect for my height. My height is 5 10 and the chap said I need a 21inch frame anything else you would struggle with. Now years down the line I'm well into the MTB scene and know he was taking out his ass just to get a sale. I want to make people aware that I was miss sold the bike on false pretences. My actual frame size should of been a 19inch and since experience and advice this bike was far to big for hitting the trails. I'm not saying all the other guys don't know what they are talking about but this guy didn't for sure. I've since sold the bike at a big loss and have a bike that fits me perfectly and my skill levels gone up loads just from correct sizing.

DO NOT ORDER FROM EVANS ONLINE! I've been charged twice, and never had an order processed. Genuinely the worst buying experience I've ever had. Hundreds of pounds out of pocket, no goods. Here's the sequence of events: 23rd March - I place order, but the website crashes. Money is taken from my account, but I recieve no order confirmation. 24th March - I call customer service to find out if the order went through. Am told it didn't, and the money will be refunded. Customer service then offer to replace the order for me, and charge me again... 26th March - I then recieve an email telling me that the item is out of stock and my order is being cancelled, and I will recieve a refund! So at this point, I've paid twice, and have no items. 27th March - I recieve a refund for one of the orders. And that's it, the other refund has never come through. Evans have taken hundreds of pounds off me, and never successfully placed an order.

Difficult decision here, sales over service.. I recently (late Jan 2020) purchased a Trek cycle from here. The sales man was fantastic, very knowledgeable, helpful & answered my questions very professionally.. The service (staff) on the other hand, atrocious.. I returned the bike for the complimentary "health check" 3/4 weeks later. I informed them I thought the gear changes were not as crisp as I would have thought & maybe a little noisy.. On returning to collect I was informed the bike needed a new chain & they advised it was changed. I said it was a new bike & surely the chain should last longer than that. To which I was told "you'll have to take that up with Trek".. What?? I didn't buy the bike from Trek, I bought it from Evans so shouldn't they change the chain & then they take it up with Trek?? I paid up, left & they didn't even give me the "worn out" chain.. First ride anger disappeared as I thought the chain had resolved any issues.. Sadly I was wrong.. The noises returned but I couldn't see anything strange (though I'm not a bike mechanic).. A couple of weeks later out on a ride the chain broke.. I rang for DW to come & get the bike & to bring DS's bike (also a Trek) so I could finish the ride.. What I noticed straight away was the difference in gear changes & "no strange noises".. Once home I fitted a new chain but the noises were still there so I contacted a local independent qualified bike builder to see if he could help me.. Within 10 minutes of him getting the bike he contacted me to tell me the rear cassette hadn't been fitted properly, allowing for bad shifting & water ingress which was the cause of the excessive noises, as well as the chain wear.. CONCLUSION.. My advice if you want a bike from Evans at Preston, great they will sort you out, but for maintenance/servicing take it to someone who knows what they're doing, you'll be better for it in the long run.. Very shoddy service which totally destroyed the faith in them that the sales man had built up..

Dreadful, has an online order for a 2k bike which was damaged with no documentation on delivery. Contacted CS multiple times via email with no response. Wish I hadn’t shopped with them and won’t again.

Evans King's Cross - bike mechanic Krisztian was extremely patronising (sexist), rude, and wilfully unhelpful. Won't be returning!

I’ve had an absolutely terrible experience at Evans Cycles, Leamington Spa. I bought a Brompton Superlight from Evans Leamington eight months ago: seatpost rusted and handlebars could not be adjusted. I returned the bike to Evans Leamington a little under five weeks ago and collected today. I had to call every Friday for three weeks before they began investigating the issues; each call being treated with utter ignorance of the situation. Upon collection, not only are the handlebars and brakes covered in scratches but the entire cabling set-up was incorrect; thus the bike could not be folded. I’ve just had to strip the handlebar furniture and reroute the cables to get the bike home. In addition, the front wheel nut protector is missing. I could not be any less satisfied. I want to replace the handlebars and right-hand brake lever but cannot trust Evans to do the work without incurring more damage to my beloved Brompton.

Evans stole my money I bought a saddle in red (because this was the cheapest colour) in september 2019 online. Evans cycle couldn't deliver because they said, they were out of stock. So far so good, mistakes happen. Other customers recieved the same saddle in black instead, I would have been fine with that, too. Evans refuse. But the say, they will have stocked up in februrary 2020. I wait 6 months, Evans writes me, they have no red saddle in stock, I write them, " send the black one instead". Evans don't react to my emails. Evans write my, they can not refund my money via paypal because of reasons. I have to call them and give this missmanaged and unsecure business my credit card details. I write them an email- no reactions from evans. After a month, they send me a voucher for their store, which is completly useless for me. Thanks Evans Cycle for stealing my money.

Easy transaction. Good communication. Pinnacle Arkose R1 is absolutely amazing. I'm delighted with the product. Lovely finish. Bike comes completely set up bar handlebar adjustment. And it's set up perfectly. What a company. My best ever experience buying on the Internet.

Just had my bike quite literally overhauled and serviced and I much say it’s reached more than my expectations. The Communication I received was excellent in relation to fitting new parts. I rode it today and I must say it was like riding a new bike. Thanks a million Steph and Robin.
