Turned up at the set time, all I got was ring the number on the entrance door. Phone the number might as well not bothered. Then asked the staff for help, wow waste of space, avoid this lot at your peril lots of other good dealers out there. Could not put zero

Ordered 67 plate transit custom sunday gone, delivery for tuesday 2 days later. They rang monday to say they should have it ready if i wish to collect by wednesday as it requires mot, full valet and full machine polish. Annoying to wait extra day given advert said vehicle was ready to be driven away today (sunday) but hey ho, i made it clear i have litterally just recovered from covid as in last week and that cleanliness was of the highest importance and i was reassured it would be spotless. I also asked if the vehicle had any noticeable damage or scratches/rust etc- i was again assured it had a few minor scratches which would machine polish out and if any damage could not polish out, they had a bodyshop whom would sort damage out. Their advert/ sales pitch states it has had a full electrical/mechanical/ cosmetic check and it would be in tip top shape. So to my surprise.... i ring wednesday as ive heard nothing to be told there was a mix up and van had still not gone for its mot yet?? as it was at the bodyshop being fully machine polished. so i had no option but to wait. thursday comes and at near close of business i am rang to be told the van had failed its mot?? surprising given its supposedly had this top set of checks carried out as its just 3.7 years old? what was alarming was the failures: tyre cut exposing chords/ply rear brakes dangerously corroded/weakened battery insecure which could cause short circuit excessive handbrake movement minors: all brake pipes corroded on a less than 4 year old van with 70k miles? other rear tyre has a nail in front pads and discs corroded/scored/pitted but not weakened so now im annoyed to say the least and i am starting to distrust this dealerships so called work methods, so now i complain via email as im told it may be ready for friday if they can get parts ordered/ fitted in time, if not next week..... so then i get a call friday dinner to say its passed mot (mot still states theres a nail in the tyre at this point and all minors still exist) but the van will be ready for collection at 4pm as vehicle is at the valeters. ok all looking better so i agree to collection at 4pm. and then it all went wrong i turn up and as i arrive i can see from a mile away the rear quarter has been repainted poorly so im already in a mood so i start to look round to see a horrific list of poor repairs, dents, scratches, differnet colour door with filler marks, pitted paint, rust under door handles, rusty rear hinges, chipped windscreen, paint on the front seats/rear seats, cement stains on rear seats, under the passenger seat has been used as a rubbish bin, what looks like black mould on the sun visor, what looks like snot on the roof (my youngest sons words) a used biro pen in the rear door along with what looks like mud, they have simply tightened up the handbrake im assuming as the handbrake cover is flopping around and will not clip back into place- this is compounded by the dirt and rust thats visible as a result of cover not being in place. Seatbelt has been removed on drivers seat as its now been fitted back incorrectly, windscreen wipers do very little to clear windscreen yet it passed mot this way, inside of all windows are disgusting thick with grease and dirt ( i wiped just one part with a piece of white cloth and it came off black ). Rear of the van is a whole story to itself - litterally looks like someone drove through a muddy ford with rear doors open and flooded it. I mean seriously the list goes on and on.... whole van has been cleaned by freddy crueger or wolverine given the gouges to side windows, trims, panels. Only panels that have not been painted /dented or scratched is the bonnet. bumpers are completely dry/flaking in places. so i make my dissatisfaction abundently clear to be told by salesman van has been cleaned and machine polished, so i took my finger and wiped what he claimed to be in the paint - muck off the top of the damaged /scraped top of one of the sliding doors. At this point he says that it didnt have a full machine polish as he first claimed and said the onsite team have simply polished worst scratches that they could (but yet they left ones that could have came out) he then went on to say his manager tells him what they can spend on getting the vehicles ready ( imguessing it was the cost of a coffe or similar given the disgusting state) and that the online checks are based on age / mileage? so what evans halshaw hull are effectively saying is this.... if you buy a van thats 3.7 years old with 70k miles on it, it will be damaged all over, will have had plenty of poor repairs, it wont have been looked after, they wont repair it fully or properly, will have broken or ill fitted parts, paint on seats (as we all know this happens with age/miles) but what they will do is happily take your money, tell you everything will be checked and cleaned properly but then go on and do the exact opposite.. handover is meant to be done shortly and in a covid secure way, no gloves, no hand sanitiser, keys had ingrained dirt and i was passed a pen to sign actual paperwork which had not been cleaned etc everything should be online to minimise contact especially given id made it clear i had just recovered from covid 19 and still in fact have some now ongoing issues, so i had to get anti bac wipes to wipe vehicle down before i could drive it home, wear a mask all the way home and gloves as this thing is a breeding ground for germs. now van seems a little underpowered at the minute which im hoping is nothing as that would be the icing on a terrible cake, no apologies no discounts for such a poor vehicle nothing, but what i did get was a handover sheet which stated i was happy with every part of the vehicle and guarantees etc had been explained, so i quickly ensured i corrected all of this and took photos to prove so. now why did i take the van? because its on finance so its a hell of a lot of hassle to correct this, i have my own proper bodyshop/valeting facilities so i can rectify all issues and to be fair i wouldnt trust this dealership to put fuel in the van never mind correct all thats wrong. Ive already had my health put at risk by visiting these once, so sure as anything would rather stay clear. if i could post photos i would as i would seriously think twice before going here. I will be documenting all of this in one of my upcoming youtube series if anyone simply cannot believe a vehicle could be sold at this worrying time in such a terrible state. long story short, if you say youre going to do something then you should do it, what effectively happened was, they took the money (full retail value) then took a week to mot the van, change rear discs and pads and one tyre. Never ever again

Got sold an illegal car, no head light, unfortunately for me I was new to buying cars, these crooks saw me coming. When I took it back to complain I demanded a full service carried out on the car, they fitted a new bulb, they even changed the break pads as a good will gesture. Haha such a joke, like they are going to throw money at a car that they don’t need to. Also they sold me a car that was advertised as having alloy wheels, guess what they were not they were steel. Then they informed me the driveshaft had gone this was all in 24 hours of the car being purchased, I said I wanted a different car, they begged me to let them try and put it right, I allowed them to, they fixed the car I drove it 600 miles on holiday. Drove with my son in the car, the driveshaft had gone again, I took it back, they said it went again because they didn’t changed the W bushes, honestly one thing after another with these, three months after purchase I started getting an Intermittent, problem where I would loose power, and the clutch started to fail. Trying to prove these faults were with the car the day I bought it you can imagine is impossible. After so many similar stories and no one gets satisfaction, I am planning protests outside their shops. This is a warning to all stay away from this company.

the customer care at your cardiff branch is woefully inadequate and shockingly bad. my mother bought her car from you "new".... the mileage on the clock says 30k, but the onboard computer says 40k...she's had nothing but trouble and annoyances from you so i took over with the maintenance. kara, at your cardiff branch, spills bs out of her mouth like she does it all day. needless to say, everything kara assured me was going to happen, ... didn't. your company needs someone that knows how to run a garage. and it wouldn't hurt to get someone who knows how customer service works too... i'd have made the complaint on your website but, unsurprisingly, the email wouldn't send. DISGRACEFUL.

Had a recall for a software update on a Astra. The letter said it would take no longer than 30 mins and I would be able to wait. 1st time I went there they couldn’t find the codes in my wife’s car so had to rebook.2nd time was told if I got there at 0815 then car would be first on ramp and wouldn’t be very long at all. When I got there there was no job sheet and told it could be 1230 before I got the car back. I am not waiting 4 hours for a 10 min software update. Not the first time I’ve had bad dealings with this branch. Get the impression that they’re doing you a favour not the other way around by buying their cars. Live and learn, will not go there again or buy a Vauxhall for my wife

I was sold the car with a tire pressure issue which was supposed to be sorted before i collect it, it wasn't so they booked me in later to fix that and for over a year they had me bouncing between Aston and west brom while they held the car and made me pay for alternative means to do my commute. They were never able to fix it at either branches so i took it to a local garage who sorted it on the first try. They really pushed the upsell and made me end up buying the service pack and warranty pack, but of course the warranty doesn't cover what matters. There were other important issues which arose over the following month i bought the car including a coolant leak which caused it to overheat and shut down as well as a leak under the gearbox, did they even do a check on the car when they recieved it? Again bouncing me around the branches and taking time out of my day to juggle my day job and sort this all out over a duration of around 15 months. The manager at the west brom branch (steve) even told me "well you shouldn't have bought the car then". The aftermarket at Aston (carly or something) were useless and no technician was able to fix the issue even after a specialist vw and audi centre had found the problem and communicated it to them. Absolutely disgusting how unprofessional, incompetent and disorganised these guys are. Put me off evans halshaw entirely and now i tell everyone about this experience, to avoid this dealer and to make them aware of how these salespeople just want commission off you by flipping faulty cars with false promises.

Went today to buy a car from evans halshaw Ford Lincoln.I had no part ex and was paying cash. All was going well, took the car for a test drive, talked to the salesman who was perfectly fine. I then made it quite clear that it was a second car a run-about, all was going well and I agreed I would buy the car .I was then told there would be a administration fee which I thought ok. Then he did the usual car sales bit trying to sell me paint protection gap and warranty cover I gave the impression I wasn’t interested. What happened next was unbelievable and totally unprofessional. At this point, in a normal car garage, they go off to another room to ok the deal with their manager but not in this case! He sat with his manager no more than 4-5 metres away and I could hear everything the manager was saying to the poor salesman giving him a real good dressing down for not selling me any products! I was so angry I made my way over to them and said starring at his manager, that I heard everything he said and that I no longer wanted to buy the car I then said sorry to the salesman and left. I honestly couldn’t believe it and I certainly wouldn’t go there again.

Avoid this company at any costs. Their services are below any common sense imaginable. Our car broke down while still in warranty and after 2 weeks we have no updates apart of someone is looking into it. On top of that we were promised a loan car which haven't got it so far.

Car broke down within 3 weeks. Evan's to check for safety recalls or rate them. Poor after sales service and misinformation of returns policy. No goodwill gestures available and 2 weeks of getting a car sorted. Warranty admin are at best, poor. Avoid Evan's halshaw sighthill.

10 weeks into ownership my reverse camera malfunctioned. 9 months in still not fixed and now not responding to calls or online contact. Multiple workshop visits. So many calls I have lost count. If you had just done your job when I reported it we would not be in this position. The worst customer service I have ever received , follow the consumer act 2015 to deal with this lot.

Took my focus RS for its annual service to Evans halshaw Bury expecting a phone call to collect. Received a phone call at 11am advising that the car was in the lifts and there now was a broken brake pipe with fluid gushing out. This was not the case when I arrived as I had driven 8 miles to bring the car and would have had no brakes ! Long story but when purchasing the car was given a 5 year manufacturer warranty which Evans halshaw now deny giving as dealer principal and salesman have left. Evans halshaw now are charging me on top of a £240 service £95 to fix the pipe that was damaged in their care. Every time my car has been in with them I have had nothing but trouble the bonnet for scratched and they have no knowledge of resolving RS problems they can only deal with standard cars. My wife has for the last 20 years purchased all her cars from them this week she switched to Land Rover I am also next week trading the RS with Porsche. They have lost loyal customers through pathetic customer service and inability to fix the vehicles they sell to you themselves . So disappointed . Going to sign off the invoice paid with dispute as tired of dealing with them and just want to cut loose now .mechanic was Simon and was backed up by service lady Karen .

After they admitted to not knoqing what was causing the problem and that they would get Citroens advice, we took the vehicle to another dealer who stated in writing that the mis matched tyre ws the problem, and that a matching tyre should have been fitted in the first place. We called Evans Halshaw with this verdict only to be told that Citroen claims we need two new tyres when we get a puncture. Who ever heard such utter nonsense? The dealer fitted the wrong tyre and now expects us to pay to fix their problem. Steer clear, it's delers like this one that mange to perpetuate the industries bd name.

The manager ( if that's what you call him) is so rude could not care less and thinks this is acceptable. Never ever buy from the mr hooper is terrible and if the manager is bad the rest are leading by example trust me there just as rude and uncaring

I bought a car from them for work during lockdown. The day after I started work, the coil pack went. They said they could book me in for a repair in 3 weeks even though it was only a 10 minute job! I had to get it repaired elsewhere for £265 otherwise I would have been out of work. They said they would pay that bill out of goodwill. I handed them the invoice. I never heard anything. I chased them up several times but didn't get anywhere. I had been their customer since late 2015. This is the most disgusting treatment of a client possible.
