I recently had two mini cassette tapes and two regular cassette tapes digitized by Everpresent. I had them transcribed onto a thumb drive. The 30-year-old cassettes contained some precious personal and historically significant audio recordings I wished to preserve and archive. They did an excellent job! I was able to hear my long-since-departed mother and sister's voices with surprising clarity. I am now also able to finish a long overdue historical film archiving project by adding witness narration. My only issue with Everpresent (and the only reason I didn't give them a 5 Star rating) was their lack of communication on my digitizing project. I was somehow dropped off of their project tracking process. I would usevthem again and recommend them to anyone considering having their precious audio recordings digitized.

Was a bit less impressed with service this time around than previously. I dropped off my project in November, and didn't hear anything about status between 11/17 and 2/3 (which was just days after I wrote to ask for an update). It was ready on 2/9... the day i was having shoulder surgery, which left me unable to drive. I had to have my son pick it up for me when he was in town on March 20. The app was not working, and i had to follow up to get that fixed. I asked for an extension of the 60 days of access to the online archive given all of the above and was shocked to get a cold response that said, basically, no.

I was very satisfied with the business and the product. They do take pains to handle every original with extreme care and attention, and are respectful in all interactions. I recommend them highly.

Overall, the digitized 35mm slides came out pretty good. There did seem to be a problem with some darker slides. On a home-quality flatbed scanner, I was able to get much brighter results for those dark slides. See attached scans - same photo, though one is reversed. Berkeley-009 is my scan, the other is the Everpresent scan. I thought of sending some back, but it would have taken more time than I had to separate out and somehow find a way to keep track of those slides that come from different boxes or carousels. The processing took longer than expected, and the progress reports were very vague.

I was very happy with the conversion of my old 8mm movies to digital format, but I could never get the online sharing function to work. Thanks for helping to preserve some precious memories.

One concern with EVERPRESENT was that after I expressed that I didn't need to pay to have my digitized films put on a memory stick -- I had my own, I ended up being charged (a lot of extra cost) to have this done. I only caught this error because the final price was way over what I was given as an estimate. I was able to correct this -- so thank goodness for that. Other than that, the rest went well.

When I contacted Everpresent I was told I could drop my tape to be digitized off at a store in South Burlington, VT, and I made an appointment to do so. But when I arrived I found the store had gone out of business some time ago, and there was nowhere to drop it off. I got back in contact with Everpresent, and found the only option was to mail them my tape. Once they had it, they did a good, and very prompt, job of transferring the material. But it would seem someone at Everpresent should have known their drop off point had gone out of business long ago, instead of directing me there.

A few weeks ago I received my first order that I sent to you. ( 35mm slides put on flash drives ) Everything seemed to go well, although the communication could have been better. I just received my second order of slides on flash drives. Again, the communication could have been better and some of the slides are backwards. I am planning on sending some super 8 film to have it put on flashdrives and I hope it goes well and there are no problems. Thankyou

Everpresent did a terrific job for me, digitizing 30 VHS videos. I only dropped them off in the first week December and asked for them by Christmas. Everpresent met my schedule. Thanks! The quality of the digitized videos is better than the quality of the originals. I don't know whether that has something to do with the equipment I used to play each format, but I was delighted with the outcome. I didn't give 5 stars because I had numbered the tapes but Everpresent used their own numbering which did not correspond to mine. I found it confusing to find what I was looking for. The fault is likely mine because my numbers may not have been big and clear enough, but I would advise future customes to make sure any labeling is super clear to avoid this issue. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. Customer service and responsiveness were great.

Pros: - Quick processing of our order, which was appreciated! - Lots of email communication in terms of what stages our order was at in the process. Cons: - I sent in 3 VERY old boxes of film to be processed, and little stickers were applied to each box by EverPresent, I assume for identification purposes. When removing your stickers after I received the order back, the paint from the box peeled off with the stickers. - While you were waiting for me to contact you to pay our deposit, I received an annoying amount of emails AND phone calls, continually asking for the deposit. At first I explained that I had to wait on my business office to make the deposit, but eventually I just ignored your calls and emails because it was too much.

I chose Everpresent for my project because of all the great reviews and because of the detailed information about their process on the website. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. I am ultimately very glad I chose them to digitize my treasured family videos and reels. The only complaint I have is with the pricing. I was given a quote via consult and signed off on the agreement. Later, after I submitted my materials, I was contacted to notify me about extra charges. They admitted they made a mistake when making the original quote, which I understand happens and said ok. Later when I looked at the final invoice it was about double what I was originally expecting from the initial consult. I am very lucky to not have issues paying the amount charged, but it was a bit of a shock. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with how they cared for my original tapes, updated me on every step of the process and gave me different options for the end product. Being able to see images from the time I was born for the first time was worth any cost to me.

Technical treatment and finished product is very good. I was disappointed in the technical support in accessing and using the archives. Friends and family have accessed the public site but the archives don't show up. In their words; "I got to the site but there's nothing there."

Was very pleased with results. Report though stated there was a significant background noise and I was surprised that you would not have technology to lessen or remove. Although I did not find background noise to be distracting. Overall my expectations were met. Thank yoy

Wonderful to finally have old slides put on thumb drives. Easy drop off and pick up. The main transfer was excellent, but we did notice that on the copies of the thumb drives, there were a few pictures missing. I don't know why that happens. But, yes, I would certainly recommend your company and have done so to many friends.

Having transferred dozens of tapes from the same camera, I have a pretty good idea what’s normally involved. I sent the tape you transferred to you because it needed repair, the tape having broken in camera. You did a good job of accessing the video information on the tape and fro vid ing a file of same. But in two scenes there appears to be a white line down the left side of the picture. This seems to belie the “careful attention to detail” that was indicated in your numerous status communications. I`` know from my experience that, once you get the tape up and running there is little to do other than let it run—so I felt you made too big a deal of the stages and steps the process went through. I also felt the cost of the flash drive you returned the file on was very excessive. I don’t know why. In summation, I was very glad you could repair the tae and do the transfer, but made too big a deal about the subsequent process of transfer, and feel the cost was excessive. If the tape had not needed repair I don’t thin I would have used your service. As a retired person who earned his living as a film and video producer I have many 8mm and some 16 mm films to transfer, but I think the cost of transferring this one tape quite pricy, and would probably look elsewhere first (if you do film transfers) I very glad you could do the transfer and am happy to have the transfer you provided.

The quality of the pics scanned was great (for a silent montage). Everything arrived well before the deadline (for a wedding) which was fantastic. However, my husband and I could not figure out how to get to the montage from either the links sent or the thumb drive. I had left a voice mail I believe on August 12 but did not receive a return call. Which is unusual for Everpresent! I guess we missed something when opening up the links/USB. However, my husband was able to put the montage together through a Microsoft program. It was a very busy time leading up to my daughter's wedding and ran out of time to put another call in. This would not deter me from using Everpresent again; perhaps I just left a message on the wrong phone line.
