We did not go to the Manchester lounge. We flew from Terminal 2 at Heathrow last October, which to my disgust is only open to business class and executive class. We used the new lounge at East Midlands airport in September which we found very pleasant.

appalling visit, no air con working, we where notified of this on arrival but heat was stifling in there, no fans to compensate for this, snacks where very poor not being filled regularly soft drinks told to get from fridge none in fridge had to go back to bar to get drink. overall experience not happy!!

Arrived at the lounge and was informed that they had no stock left including cheese soup bread rolls etc, and there was nothing they could do for us, they had also run out of most of the alcoholic drinks!! They couldn't refund us and there was not much they could do!! Wasn't impressed this was my first experience in the lounge and will be the last!!!

In a word, appalling. I have used a lot of lounges in the past, and this is one of the worst. For the price we paid (£18 each), we were expecting at least something warm for breakfast, but the best that was on offer were greasy bacon butties dripping with fat. The alcohol was of the same poor standard, and the white wine tasted like vinegar. We ended up leaving after 5 minutes of staying there and I paid a further £20 to get breakfast somewhere else. Never again.

On our visit it was by overall very poor. We book the airport lounge before every holiday. There was a note explaining that there was no hot food and the glasses were plastic or styrofoam, not what you expect when you are paying. The lounge was also over full we had to wait for seats, again not what is expected. Very disappointed and spoilt the start of our holiday.

Having been to Aspire lounges before I was expecting a relaxed time, the staff at the reception were fine & friendly however when I went to get a drink from the bar I was stood for 5 minutes waiting for someone to come from the backroom (kitchen i presume) to serve me i got 3 drinks in total the second time i went another 5 minutes before i was served the 3rd time after 3 minutes (i had started timing by now) i went to the front desk to complain and the girl was there gossiping with the other staff the lounge wasn't very busy I was in full view of the girl when I was at the bar area so the service was truly appalling, like I say I have been to a couple of the lounges (including this one) before and everything has been fine. There was bacon rolls for breakfast plus cereals , pastries etc and coffee it was the bar service and lack of staff that made this such a bad visit

The place was bitterly cold and the refreshments available were very limited. It was most definitely not value for money inasmuch as we stayed in the place for twenty minutes and then had to leave to get warm

Extremely poor customer service and very little variety available for an early flight and for children ... also not having toilets in the lounge defeated the object of being secluded and relaxing in comfort

We was very disappointed with are recent visit to the lounge , because we spoken to a member of staff which told us that you never had a delivery of food and drink. and you never had any of the things that we wanted, very poor and will never go back again ????????????

Extremely disappointing. Having used numerous times previously this visit has persuaded me not to use the Escape lounge at Terminal 1in the future. Overcrowded, large area now reserved for Business class only, no seats, no cups, now far too busy to be an enjoyable experience

The whole place was disgusting, there was next to nothing on offer in the way of food and drink, the one member of staff that was present was unsure of what she was expected to be doing, I left in less than 5 minutes and spent my stay in the terminal. Never again!

Very disappointed with the lounge. Food practically non existent with really only cold soup and no one to ask where the butter was for the dry roll of bread. Coffee from machines was also not very hot and staff were not bothered, at least said that there was nothing they could do. A "cold" and uninviting area. Not a good start to our holiday and we actually left early and went to the ordinary airport lounge. Will certainly not use it again. OK if you want free alcoholic beverages.

Wound never book here again. Very unhelpful rude front desk staff member doubling up as bar staff. Place dirty, coffee machine broke, no milk or juice out and had to ask over and over again while being made to feel like I was asking for the Earth. No ice for the bar drinks! Food selection very poor with even poorer hygiene. Staff to busy talking/ hiding in the back to clean up, serve or replenish anything. As a family of four on a early morning fligh we left after 45 minutes and got sandwichs and drinks from WH smiths So after spending already the best part of £80 we had to spend another £20 and had 2 very grumpy kids Great start to our holiday!!!! I did email on our return But heard nothing back until today Over 3 months later and now I'm being asked to rate my experience..... Ha Ha Ha what a joke!!!
