Good afternoon, All in all a complete shocker and not what we expected after people previously recomending!? Lengthy que to book in hurried in dispite advising never used area before with no info supplied. Lounge was packed with single and paired couples taking up several seats that's could of been used for larger parties, we are a group of 6 and had to stand for approx 20 minutes before finding somewhere to sit. The food was all "ran out" and we had to keep asking for items from behind the bar as there was nothing out on the side I.e scone cream, there were no glasses for the juice and then the ones brought out were dirty tables never got cleared the whole hour and a half we were there. For the money we paid it would of been cheaper, more relaxing and better service in the main airport hall as we spotted tables available while walking to aspire lounge. Also poor service behind bar as had to keep waiting for someone to be there. Finally a side note the toilets used in this area were covered with flies although did seem fairly clean. I don't usually, write feedback however this occasion was partially awful so felt it deserved something for you to be aware I won't be recommending far from it. I couldn't believe how basic it was, for 5* prices. I even had to put my coffee on the floor, there were so few tables scattered about. selection of snacks was laughable, and staff were indifferent. Within the terminal you also have to go out of your way, in the wrong direction to get to the so-called lounge. Very very poor.

The lounge was overcrowded.... poor wifi connection.... tables had not been cleared, including tea and coffee mugs, glasses and plates on uneaten food. The food was atrocious, there was very little to choose from, literally bacon and sausage, no eggs no tomatoes no croissants ect... and what was there was severely overcooked and dry.... when asked a member of staff for some more breadbuns she literally looked me and up and down and sighed, eventually returning with some bread buns... The staff appeared miserable and looked extremely unhappy to be there, everything was a chore. Considering its about £25pp to use the lounge frankly i wouldn't pay £2.50 it was not adequate and definitely not up to standards of lounges ive been in before. This lounge was awful and needs a serious shake up of staff and food choices.

My husband and I arrived at the lounge , only to find there was no where to sit firstly . The food on offer was appalling , tasteless soup and a bread roll . Salad bar was pretty poor . I asked for a toilet and was told you had to go back into the terminal ? Surely a executive lounge would have a ladies toilet facility . I had to wait to go to the toilet in the terminal , this isn’t good is it . We were very hungry so decide after paying £60 odd pounds to have some fruit - the banana I had was disgusting ? Is this really a good way to start your holiday ? Executive not really ! I have a picture😡 We really wanted to start our holiday with the best!!!! And unfortunately this was not the case at all with aspire. I was also very surprised to see a member staff outside the lounge booking in people.we booked a month inadvance and we couldn’t even get a seat............

Half the lounge was cordoned off for a group travelling together. There was nowhere to sit for a long time. There were no cups to have a hot drink in. The staff couldn’t clear away quick enough due to overcrowding. I would have been better saving the money and having a meal in the numerous uncrowded venues outside the lounge.

Poor selection of beverages/alcoholic drinks and an absolutely abysmal choice of food, which basically consisted of cheese sandwiches and some kind of processed white meat sandwich, in plastic like white bread, tightly wrapped in cling film. Really unedifying and do still had to leave early to get a subway as we were so hungry. Absolute waste of money.

The snacks were very limited and of poor quality and very scarce. No butter for the crackers or Cream for the scones. Dirty toilets. Also had to wait 30 minutes after arrival for a table? £17 for a 2 year old and £25 per adult. I spent £28 on food outside the lounge due to such awful offerings in the lounge. Definitely not worth the money.

I only drink Gin and tonic on arrival was told there was no tonic could not believe it. I was traveling with a 80 year old and a 70 year old and when i went to get some drinks was told we all had to go up to the bar separately it was my worst lounge experience ever .The food is so poor there was 1 roll in the basket and had to ask for more but then had to wait for them To be cooked .They have crackers and pickle but no cheese . Very disappointing

After booking lounge 41 we were told we should go to lounge 26 instead and we're told it was exactly the same- this couldn't be further from the truth! We couldn't return to 41 as had been through passport control. The woman on check in desk of lounge 41 clearly had never been to lounge 26!!

If I could rate this as 0 I would. Complete waste of money. Dark, not particularly clean, coffee machine not working (and it was no better than instant when it did), unappetising snacks, noisy with badly-behaved children, surly staff. We would have been better off buying a bottle of champagne and sitting in the champagne bar in the main departure area. Never again

There wasn’t a lot of choice, the lounge ran out of lots of things ie no ham or sandwiches available, very few charging points for electronics and not a lot of options drinks wise, we have used other lounges at different airports around the country and by far unfortunately as we are from Newcastle, the Newcastle lounge is the worst we have experienced, which is very disappointing as it was £80 for a bad experience. Think long and hard before you book this option especially if you are a family.

After arrival, the transition with verification was not smooth. I was asked for various types of ID. I showed emails, however there was confusion. On entry, we found a seat and were surrounded by two boistrous groups who were very vocal. We had to move tables twice. After this on my partners first visit to the bar, a man vomited right in front of her next to the bar/ buffet just missing her. She returned to our table quite upset. I just managed to stop my wife leaving. We stayed after these groups left and managed to get a beverage with no further incident. This was the first time I have used Aspire and it was a special anniversary break and it was meant to be a surprise start. Unfortunately, it was a dismal start and my wife was upset which cast a cloud on our departure. I think there should be restrictions in groups and a tighter assurance if individuals are going over the top. I was lookng forward to this lounge but i will not return or recommend it. I look forward to your response.
