I am coeliac and need a gluten free diet. I booked the Aspire Lounge in Heathrow T5 so that my disabled husband could rest comfortably between flights and we could both have a late lunch. The online menu boasted gluten free food including a hot dish. On arrival I asked a member of staff what was available gluten free and she asked me to ‘wait four minutes’. She brought me a plate with for slices of g/f bread. No butter, nothing else followed. After an hour I asked another member of staff who offered me flapjacks. When I asked if there was anything savoury he said he thought there was chicken and went away to check. When he came back he said ‘sorry, the chicken was last month, we don’t have anything this month. On arrival home I wrote in and received a dismissive email saying that there was g/f hot food available. It was the first time we had used a lounge, I asked two different members of staff for help. I was tired and hungry and this was my experience.

My 2 year old daughter found a 1 inch nail down the side of her seat, the lady I spoke to was apologetic but obviously from then on we were concerned about what else she would find!

I have been in a few of your lounges at Luton and elsewhere and foolishly thought the T5 one would be of same standard if not better. After an epic 10 hour journey through the night from Devon on buses, trains and coaches I just wanted somewhere to relax and possibly catch some Zzz's before my flight. What I got was a struggle to actually find a seat at all as it was so busy (and an area had been reserved for prayer). There are no facilities at all (incl toilets?!) I was very disappointed and did not feel it was worth what I paid. I will not be returning.

This was not our first visit but will be are last. It was appalling there was very little food available had to wait 20 mins for cheese to be sliced then another 10 for bread .. the choice was chicken curry (Well that’s what we thought it was! It looked so poor didn’t even bother) All that was available were some bits of salad ..very poor There was quiche but that had all gone when we went for food!! Staff were very unhelpful to the point of rudeness. Where ever one works staff shortages can be problematic but that was all we heard..very unprofessional

The food choice was nothing short of grim. A mushroom soup or a scone... that was it. The seating all clumped together, completely disorganized. Drink choice extremely poor. one type of beer. Tables not cleaned. Complete waste of money, left the lounge and headed out to the bar to happily for a drink in a clean & tidy environment.

Choice of 'main' food poor and same stuff left out for 3 hours we were there. Cheap disgusting wine and no cider (one choice would have been nice). Noisy as people constantly drilling nearby. There was poo on the floor of one toilet and when someone was told of it by my wife he simply said he was not on duty for another 20 mins. To top it all no Wi-Fi, part of the reason I chose it as I had important report to write, and no one seemingly interested in fixing it. Complete rip off for what we paid.

rude man on reception, long ques at bar as only one very rude barman but lounge not overly busy, all tables dirty and piled high with plates which we had to clear ourselves before sitting, hot food either stale or non existent, beer flat, wine cheap. may i add ive used the lounge before with my family but only in the mornings, would not use at midday again. logged a complaint but no response as yet!!!

My wife had paid £72 pounds for myself and my youngest child who is 5 to access the lounge before our holiday. I had been working all day and went straight to the airport and thought I could eat there before flying. Having checked the June menu online I was extremely disappointed to find only pesto and pasta available!! We talked to the staff and they explained food does not come until Monday? No good to people revelling over the weekend. We left hungry and were not going to get to detonation until 1am. I requested a refund an explanation form swissports Darren Clarke and now he has not even replied to my emails? How do expect people to re book the lounge? I will give it a day or 2 before I let other people know not to use the aspire lounge.

Lounge was dirty, food choice poor and not enough staff on the bar. At one point there were 16 people waiting to be served. We may as well have saved our money and used the public areas. I've lodged a complaint but had not had a response as yet.

Used containers not removed, no crockery but only cardboard, poor choice of food and little of it. Pancakes were a joke!

Food was very poor, definitely not value for money. Lounge was far too busy as well and didn't feel relaxed! Not a great start to our holiday.

I have complained to you already as we booked for two hours 19:15 to 21:15 however the lounge closed at 21:00 how can you allow bookings for a closed lounge? When we arrived we were told food had run out and would not be replaced until the following day there wa a small but if veg pasta left and we would have nothing available after 20:30. We left we did not stay and have requested a full refund

Far too crowded. To get a seat my partner and I had to split up

The seating outside the lounge was far more comfortable than that in the lounge. The showers should have been free, again the facilities for free were better outside the lounge. And the big unshaded glass windows made seating uncomfortably hot and bright. There were also not enough seats in the designated areas for us to find a way to sit together

Reception was really awkward and would not log in to retrieve our booking so we had to worry and do it yourself. Food was limited and messy. Clearance of tables was not existent with two men and a trolley just talking with full tables all around. Very very poor.
