Don’t know where to start really... no food choice... no clean glasses...totally understaffed .. There was no air conditioning it was absolutely boiling hot. It Looked as if it was over booked. Other than the Chinese bar maid all staff were rude. I will not book it again.

Hardly any food, not much of a variety. Chicken curry was too hot no choice of mild. No cakes. Came out starving. In a party of 5 so kept getting told only 2 drinks at a time when going bar. Not much of a choice of drinks either. I only drink cider so i hardly eat or drank for £26

Where to start! The wine glasses were stained with red wine. There was very little hot food available and then no plates to put it on. The doorway to the kitchen was covered in dirt/grease and was being touched by staff every time they entered the kitchen and then dirty plates were collected with these same hands and then also used to put out clean plates and glasses. I have visited the airport lounge at East Midlands airport and although a smaller facility t was by far superior. I will not be visiting this lounge again

Overcrowded and definitely not a relaxing atmosphere. It seemed like they were only interested in getting people’s money and fitting as many people as possible into a small are.

We got there after paying £38 each there was no food left, no staff to help, the rice that had been left for the curry was hard and the cheese and broccoli pasta was cold

After paying for 4 adults to the lounge we were hoping for a relaxed, comfortable and appetising experience. Unfortunately this was not the case. The only food that was available for us on the day were the chicken curry with rice, a bowl of lettuce and cous cous. As you imagine after paying almost £90 for the facility we were very disappointed, not only this we had to go elsewhere within the airport to buy food. Alongside this, we were expecting a selection of drinks as advertised on the menu. No lager, no wine at all, no vodka. When asking if they had any more we were told it had all gone. Bare in mind this was 1pm on a Friday afternoon. We are extremely disappointed in the lack of availability in the lounge but also the way the staff did not engage with us as customers or take pride in the lounge itself. There was obviously at some point soup available, as this was dripped and left dripping down the side of a counter. After contacting them regarding this issue I did not even receive an apology, I was informed it was not the case there were no issues at all..... Glad I took pictures.

On arrival we went to find a seat which was easy enough. The problem was that every table had dirty plates and glasses in them. We cleared our own space but sat for 2 hours surrounded by dirty tables. When we asked, they said they will be cleared soon. The food was poor, nothing like the menu. There was a chicken curry with a side of very very dry rice which had obviously been there a while. The veggie option was brought out reluctantly 45 mins later. No bread for the "salad" bar. They eventually brought out burger buns which i saw them preparing on top of the bin in the kitchen. Make no mistake these were horrible. They were the same standard as those you get from cheap burger vans outside football grounds. Anyway, waste of money, go to Giraffe and enjoy your eating and drinking

I booked Aspire as a special treat for myself , my nephew and his wife to start a holiday to The Rocky Mountains in Canada. We arrived on time on 25/6/2018 at 2.05 , I showed booking on phone to the man on desk who asked for boarding passes and my passport , he said there was a problem and we had to wait. He did not say what , I asked and he said only 2 of us were booked and his papers did not match . I showed him receipt for the 3 of us , he said he had to speak to Manager and we had to leave passes with him , I would not allow him to keep my passport. When questioning why he wanted to hold passes he said not to worry they would be reprinted if they went astray. He was arrogant and very unhelpful and made us all feel unwelcome and like interlopers in this lounge. Instead of the great start to a holiday we all felt very uncomfortable with others watching this performance . After about 10 minutes he said we could go in but still held the passes , my nephew insisted on having them back after another 20 minutes. I am pleased to receive this survey as I arrived back from Canada today and intended to email my complaint to you. There was no warmth of welcome to Aspire but as though he was doing us a favour in even considering if we should be allowed in. I am a 71 year old woman and my guests in their 50s so we did looked perfectly respectable . I look forward to receiving your comments. Marian Trendell

My wife and I were highly disappointed. It was very busy and crowded. There was nothing relaxing were comfortable about it. We had difficulty finding two seats together for us amongst the crowd of people and limited seating. The food was mediocre and not much to choose from. It seem like there was more space and relaxing and more comfortable seating with less of a crowd in the family area which we were not allowed to go into. Would never go into this executive lounge is again.

Although I was made aware it would be a temporary facility with no hot food the only “food” available were cheese & crackers, crisps and muffins. Also there was no flight information screen.

The lounge has been renovated and it is far from an improvement. This used to be a great lounge and would get our holidays off to a relaxing start. The seats are uncomfortable, if you can get one. The hot food is not replenished very often. We were in the lounge for 90 minutes and hot food arrived just before leaving, so we can’t comment on its quality. It’s been good in the past. The staff appear highly stressed and under resourced. This was not a relaxing experience and a waste of money - we won’t be back,

There was a total lack of EVERYTHING there was either food and no plates or plates and no food, large queues for a drink as only one person serving and shock a lack of glasses!! There was tables full of rubbish with no one clearing up, not sure if there was a staff shortage this day or is this normal people on the next table to us did not get a drink or anything to eat despite being in the lounge for 45 mins

I have stayed and used this lounge for years every time I fly from Birmingham which is 4/5 times a year. I use it as it’s quite. Service and staff are so bad that I refuse to use it again. The food was awful . Empty plates where available food should have been . No adequate glasses . Staff replenishing slow. Staff rude. The bar staff replenishing the fridge said I could take the wine to my table as he was in the way with his stock for me to pour . He then accused me of stealing !!!i was disgusted and will be formerly complaining .
