This lounge was appallingly! We have been to many VIO/Executive airport lounges in the past and this one was far and away the worst! The reception. The receptionist barely spoke to us, she didn’t even raise her head to greet us, there was no explanation about where to sit, food, drinks etc. The bar. The bar was pathetic, 2 varieties of lager, no cider, 1 bottle of wine, proseco was an additional cost, this is ridiculous after paying such a premium to use the lounge I expect a larger selection of drinks than this. Food. The food, or lack of it! There was no meat option, there was a vegetable curry, bread, soup, cheese and ham. A pathetic attempt of a salad bowl. The food was always empty and replenished whenever staff felt like it. When we asked if more cheese was coming we were looked at with a disgusted look from the staff. Cleanliness/Hospitality. We had to clear our own table, twice. I will 100% be telling people to avoid this ‘Executive’ lounge if flying from Manchester and we certainly will not be returning.

Poor customer service. Had to wait for staff member to appear from the staff area every time we wanted something. Long queues for people arriving as nobody making themselves readily available to greet people.

The Nairobi lounge was clean and tidy but the positives end there. The lounge was nigh on impossible to find with no signposts and having to go out of terminal then back in through security again to access it. When pointed out to the attendant she just shrugged and said I should have asked someone - I did three different people. When booking the lounge there was no option to access a longer stay and I was automatically given three hours - we had long wait at the airport hand the reason for the lounge. When we arrived it was empty so once it was pointed out our time didn't start for another two I asked if we could stay but was told I would have to pay as to was booked - this clearly made no sense as it was empty naif it was busy later thats when I was booked anyway. we stayed and left early feeling very disappointed

The food was barely acceptable. Despite having booked and paid in advance all the tables had reserved signs and we were instructed not to use them. Never again!

Based on our recent visit, unhelpful bar staff, no air con, poor refreshment choice. All contributing to an unpleasant experience and not what we expected.

This was a very poor lounge with only a choice of 2 hot dishes which was rice with vegetables and pasta. There was nothing for people who had a wheat allergy. We asked if there were any more biscuits to go with a cup of tea they had run of biscuits. We asked as it said on the website if there was any ham or something to put into a role the lady said no there wasn't. The draught beer pump stopped working so some of our party members could not access this. It was all very very poor and we had paid £25.00 per person and there were 6 of us and we were not even offered a refund or money off for eating barely anything that way you made a profit off £150.00 for offering absolutely nothing.

Limited hot food. No Cider or fizzy wine included like other lounges. Staff were not very polite. I will not use again.

We went to the brand new lounge first. Sadly the waitress did not even know how to make a Bloody Mary. We also asked for vegetarian sausages (promoted on the website) and were told there were none available. We then went to the older lounge. Again, we were told there were no vegetarian sausages, until a lovely member of the team said that a) there were and b) she would make a dedicated breakfast. All in all, a potentially great experience marred by poor staff training and lack of organisation. Never again.

Paid for a group of 6 people for the executive lounge - for told we couldn’t all sit together so had to split up into 2 groups. Asked if we could order a drink at the bar and got told we had to wait until they two members of staff had finished getting people in. After waiting around 20 minutes we got a drink, however there should be enough staff on at the time to get us a drink considering we paid for the service. The cold food such as pastries etc tasted stale and the selection of hot food was awful. Would not recommend.

Having used aspire lounges previously this by far was the worst we have used. The overall cleanliness of the serving and seating area was very poor, the choice of “snacks” was very limited, there was no soup and the pasta was tasteless. The staff appeared to be very harassed and rushed off their feet. This would seriously question our choice to use aspire lounges in the future.

The poorest airport lounge I have visited to date. Although the staff were generally friendly, I felt the facilities were severely lacking for an airport lounge, let alone a “premium lounge”. I felt there needed to be a greater variety of food options, and these need to be regularly topped up. The lounge was also lacking comfortable seating options and designated quiet areas. There was a wait at the bar on every visit as there was not a member of staff permanently working the bar. We left early because the lounge was not the kind of environment we had hoped to begin our holiday with, and we do not intend to return to the executive lounge in Liverpool airport.

Had to wait 15 mins to actually get into the place as the woman on the counter was so slow to check in the 3 people in before me. The bacon was under cooked, covered in white bits and chewy. The rest of the food was as bad!! You had to pay extra for prosecco (which must cost what £5 a bottle). The woman behind the bar was very nice and offered a great service!!

This was awful, so disappointing. Rubbish food which was old and curly, with little choice. Mediocre staff. It was the worst lounge we've used. Never again.

Very dirty, remnants of the night before left overs, toilets were a disgrace, we had morning flight to Amsterdam and was looking forward to relaxing before our flight, but was really disappointed, food was very average and reminded me of premier inn breakfast, not very executive at all. Safe to say we won’t be doing this again was far better value to just eat at one of the vendors in departure lounges.

We gave Aspire a second go after being very dissapointed last time we went. There will not be 3rd visit. The greeting from reception was excellent and friendly but that was the only high point. The place was clearly overbooked or understaffed. No choice but to share a table with strangers and that’s after clearing away the last occupants mess myself. The staff had a unified approach of looking like it was the last place they wanted to be. Basics such as smiling would help! The food ‘choice’ was thin at best, the only warm food available for our stay (from 11 in the morning in July)) was a curry, they also had a sign out for a pasta dish but I didn’t see any in the 90 minutes I was there. The drinks when you could get served were ok apart from the coffee, think your 5 year old child making breakfast with hot water from the tap. Absolutely dire, over priced experience, we will not be going back!

There was no air conditioning working and only one fan. There was no draft beer either. We have an autistic son and we could not stay in lounge, as it was too hot and uncomfortable. I teeeted about this and received a tardy response from a Philip “Dear Lee, Thank you for your getting in touch, although I am sorry that you've felt it necessary. I would like to begin by saying how disappointed I am to hear that our lounge has not lived up to your reasonable expectations and I would like to offer my personal apologies about this. We are aware of the aircon at Luton and we have put measures in place with plenty of fans, Did you advise the lounge staff of yourself leaving? We do appreciate all feedback, positive and negative, as this all goes a way towards improving the lounge experience for all of our customers. Once again I'd like to thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to contact us with your observations and I do hope you allow us to demonstrate our usual high standards next time you fly. Kind regards Philip” With customer care like that, I’ll not be back...,

On the website there are 2 choices of hot dishes. When we arrived there was only one choice of hot food & it was not very nice. There was a cold food section, which was very poor as there were only scraps of lettuce and nothing more. There was a sign up indicating that it was in the process of being replenished but we were in the lounge for an hour and this never happened. There were only 2 bread buns in the basket. The staff were not attentive and treated the guests as an inconvenience. A customer had to wait 5+ minutes at the unstaffed bar before he went to get his own bottle of beer. At that point a member of staff appeared and he asked for a bottle opener, she told him off for helping himself and walked off & didn't serve him. As the bar wasn't staffed this situation happened a few times. The lager ran out and wasn't sorted by the time we left to get our flight. All in all it was a very disappointing experience and I will never use the lounges again. It was a very poor and expensive experience and far from 'Executive'.
