Compared to Lounges offered at BA which we were permitted to enter with our friends and Executive Lounge which we paid for, the food was abominable. the seating small and the area crowded that it was hard to find a seat. This was truly a rip-off unless you are a single business traveler who wants to drink his lunch rather than eat the food offered.

Absolutely disgraceful compared to previous experiences at Manchester. Shortage of staff leading to shortage of food as 'too busy with bar. Poor quality of food on offer.Could not manage to get a decent bacon barm!!! Pastries were stale. Very poor imitation of the excellent facilities at Manchester - inc access to decent toilets, rather than hiking down past the shops to find one. I will be asking for a total refund.

Unfortunately i booked the executive lounge for the day after my travel date, me and my father went down to be told by the front desk at 4.30am that this could not be changed and nothing can be done. I tried to call the number provided on the email but with it being 4.30am we received no answer, i think it was a automatic voice message. I understand that i made a mistake booking the wrong day however the lack of help received and point blank refusal to allow us in (even though it had the flight details on was quite frankly appalling) I would have been quite happy to be allowed in and pay a small fee say £5 booking charge that i had to pay to cancel my lounge booking but again to be told i'd have to pay £30 on the day to get in is madness!! That tells me there was spaces for us so why couldn't we get in? Overall my friends said that they though the lounge was really nice, my experience was disgusting and i'll certainly not be booking up again. Or advising my friends to do so, i think because of me saying i was going in the lounge another 8/9 people were in that day! It was quite frankly embarrassing, good customer service costs nothing and should be taken into account in situations like this. My review may have been a lot different.

This was the most awful experience I have ever had the embarrassment from the receptionist. Maybe a training from Manchester should be undertaken.... This was a birthday surprise for a friend 50th birthday that was ruined.... I will be sending a detailed email with this complaint . I would never book this again and never recommend thus to anybody.

There were two girls in the desk Polite but we're more interested playing on there mobile phones it looked unprofessional The breakfast was being kept topped up and everyone was complaining There were also 4 people I know of that just walked in without being asked for any proof they had paid Which for myself was unacceptable and unfair Iv always used aspire but will certainly think twice when traveling through liverpool A disgrace !

The selection of food amounted to poor salad, meat, cheese, rice and a tasteless spring onion soup. The rolls were so hard they could have been used as weapons. The small sausage rolls were good! The red wine, a merlot, should be confided to cooking only. Web site suggests premium spirits might be available but there was no gin (except an empty bottle) no brandy, cheap whisky, and not much else except Bailey's! Despite mentioning no gin to staff, still nothing almost an hour later. The glasses for a long drink were beer glasses on tumblers. The lounge was quite noisy and very disappointing. Did not see any magazines, newspapers etc. Been in Aspire lounge before and very impresed, but this was a monumental rip off. Really really poor value. I could have bought better quality food and drink outside the lounge for less than half the cost. Wrote a complaint at the time but waiting for a response from lounge manager 7 days later. Executive Lounges still have the nerve to as for a review. Would I recommend it? No, no, No!

Had to wait for seats once inside the lounge despite having pre-booked and then only at the “counter” by the stairs to the floor above

When we entered the lounge it was covered in dirty tables. The toilets were filthy. Food was limited, bottled drinks were warm and the staff were clearly unhappy. There would have to be a big improvement before I recommend or have a return visit. I have photos of the state we found the place in if required.

Dirty, tables not cleared or cleaned, no plates, no glasses, was told to use side plates and mugs for breakfast / juice. Pepsi was from a 2 litre bottles not cans or glass bottles, everything was just dirty and cheap, nothing about it was executive... would never use again or recommend to anyone

Very little food available, cheese and crackers and a bit of not very nice looking ham. For the price paid I could have got a full meal in the airport. Drinks weak and in limited supply. Don’t waste your money it’s realy not worth it.

When we got there I expected to see food served so you could help your self. There was no food available, I had to ask someone if they could re stock so we could eat something. There was no ice, then no tonic for my gin. There was a massive que just for the bar. The whole experience was ruined and I won’t be visiting again. How do I make a complaint about this ? I just feel it was a waste of money as we didn’t even get our moneys worth.

The food/beveridge quality very poor. Service wasn’t the best either. For what I paid and there 4 of us it would have been much cheaper to go outside and have a meal. I travel a lot this is by far the worst exec lounge I have been in.

Total waste of money to be honest. We were not advised that the lounge would close at 8.15. When we arrived at the lounge the first thing that the adviser said was there are no more sandwiches left. We both got one drink, when we went for another we were told the bar was closed 8.14. I will be making complaint when I get home. Looking for a full refund. £42.00. Mrs Redmond
