Unfortunately there were more negatives than positives. The area was comfortable and quite relaxing, however the sandwiches ran out as we arrived . Having just visited India, this confirmed how bad the service and unhelpful staff we had. Whilst it was not an extortionate amount of money per person, it represented the start of our and presumably other people's holidays and was a most disappointing experience. A smile from your staff would have been nice. We will not return

No magazines available at all. Very poor food on offer and tables not cleared in my entire 3 hour stay.

(Manchester Terminal 2 Airport Lounge) - Posted 9 years ago
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food and drink on offer was fine but the lounge itself was very gloomy, tired and dreadfully in need of updating. If this was done it would also have the effect of producing a more pleasant atmosphere in which to wait .... Isn't that the point of paying to go into one of these lounges?

Usually use the lounge when at Heathrow but was disappointed - overhead lights not working properly and flashing on and off. The coffee machine was making aloud buzzing noise all the time. The hot food (pasta) was congealed and there wasn't much. Sorry not sure it was worth it.

Very limited on food, just soup at lunch. Felt over booked and in need of decorating. Compared to other lounges very poor.

We arrived on a Saturday around 12.00 midday, very few seats available and extra section of lounge was cordoned off but later opened. No real food available, just soup and cheese, I was told bacon rolls stop being served earlier (why?). Far too many young children running around and making noise. We have used this lounge in the past to get away from the terminal noise and hurly burly for a quiet start to our holiday. Finally the men's toilet was awful, only one urinal which was set right by the hand dryer making privacy very limited, plus no hand towels. I will need assurances the standards will be greatly improved if we are to use this lounge again. I would happily pay another £5 each if I was assured above points were rectified and young children were priced out of entering this lounge.

Very limited food. Soup (not very nice) or packet cheese and biscuits. We worked out that it would have been better to go to All Bar One because we could have got a bottle of wine and Tapas for the same price. There were 9 in our group so you made a lot of money !

Found the food options very poor tomato soup only my husband can't have that soup and I didn't enjoy it either. We've had sandwichs on our other visits to lounges at Manchester. Don't understand how you can supply booze without something more substantial.

No Staff visible in the lounge, they were all in the kitchen and it was difficult to get their attention when we needed something. Very sterile environment, frequently disturbed by other guests who were checking in to the wrong lounge, as well as airport staff who were filling their water bottles from the water dispenser. No real difference in quality of food, drink or facilities compared with the standard lounge. Definitely not worth the extra money. Disappointing.

I was so disappointed. I booked this for a treat for my husband having experienced the lounge in one of the other terminals. Whilst the lounge is lovely, two of the three waitresses were borderline rude and made you feel a bother, if you went to the counter for service. One of them commented that the glass of wine should be his last before boarding as it was getting late! The quality and variety of food was extremely poor. 7pm at night and not even a sandwich, only scones and biscuits with cheap cheese. Next time I will go for a nice dinner in one of the restaurants. Shame. It could have been so good.

Food wasn't very nice at all! Horrible sandwiches and disgusting soup :-( Room was very cold and not clean at all, we wish we had just stayed upstairs and bought a meal. Not worth the money at all unless you upgrade to Aspires Plus, total let down

Lounge was very busy with only one table available to seat us. Table wasn't clean, there was a spoon stuck to the out side of the chair. Very dated and in need of redecoration and new chairs. The mini Bacon rolls were good and fresh. The lady at reception who greeted us wasn't in the best of moods. She missed the fact that we preordered a bottle of prosecco and the lady at the bar was obviously not happy about this. Liked the idea of using the lounge but this particular lounge fell below our expectations.

Food was good, but i would expect to not struggle to find a seat when I book an airport lounge. It was packed. There is very little privacy or quiet areas and most seats are taken. Also, I wanted a shower, it's £20 for a shower. I'll be skipping this lounge in future. Keep my money for the outside restaurants and public benches (where there was more space) I wouldn't recommend it.

For the price I was expecting a warm welcome (rather than being made to feel like an annoyance) a seat, (had to wait 20mins) and a clean floor (seemingly not brushed for some time). Choice of food and drink is safisfactory and staff accommodating rather than warm and welcoming

The experience was poor - too crowded, ran out continually of the provided food and did not have the feel of a quality lounge or similar I have paid for. Staff were good and attentive but pushed.

This lounge completely lacks character and is over-priced. We could have spent our time just as comfortably in one of the general food outlets at a significantly lower cost. Used crockery was not cleared very quickly and the lounge didn't seem well cared for. We will not be using it again.

The executive lounges have changed ,they are not very relaxing anymore. There are children running around and noisy groups. We felt it would of been quieter in the main seating area. Its a shame we have been using the lounges for 15 years but the last couple of times we have felt it has not been worth the money. The lounge its self and beverages were fine.
