Having been in other airport lounges, I found this one particularly disappointing. It was fairly empty, which was fine and the chairs comfortable but lacking a view. The windows were too high to look out once seated. The food was poor - I had cereal and fruit (melon). The croissant was soggy and not fresh and crisp. The coffee from the machine was not particularly nice and I found the best option was to have black coffee and then add the milk from the cereal section. There were a few papers to read but very little choice. So, on one hand it was nice to be away from the main hub of the airport and it was a quiet environment to prepare for a long flight but the other hand, the food selection and quality was disappointing.

Overcrowded. Prickly staff. Limited food options. In no way impressed. Would not do again.

The lounge was crowded and it seemed that more people were being admitted than there was room / seating for. There were IT issues when we arrived and the staff seemed unable to accept my printed booking confirmation as prof that I had booked and paid. Unless they could verify this on their system it wasn't acceptable. In the end my wife and I walked in and left the staff to their issues and increasing queue. I presume all was ok in the end, although no one came to confirm as they had assured us they would. Food / drink offerings were average. Shortage of glasses / cutlery due presumably to numbers present. All in all not worth the cost (almost double similar facilities in the other terminals) but I suspec it will remain full as there are no other alternatives to the restricted acces BA lounges in terminal 5.

Our visit was a waste of time as their was nothing to eat and every time we asked the staff they said they'll get it for us by never did. The bacon sandwiches were so cold the were unbeatable. And one bacon sandwich which my partner was eating had a hair in which the staff done nothing about. The staff were very rude. I am not impressed and will not be visiting back again!

I have always used the airport lounges when travelling and have always found them excellent value, relaxing with a wide variety of choice, however I was very disappointed on this occasion to find only sandwiches and cakes my usual choice is salad and cooked meats. The wine choice was also the most limited I have experienced with only 2 whites to choose from and no rose. Thankfully the staff were very friendly and could not be faulted even going out of their way to accommodate me by providing me with cheese and biscuits. Overall my visit was very disappointing compared to all previous visits.

Compared to previous VIP lounges which I have visited which tended to be self service, frankly I was disappointed. After 10 minutes without any hot buffet I asked reception where this was, admittedly within a further 10 minutes a plentiful supply arrived, but these were soon gone as it appeared the rest of the lounge had the same thoughts. I had to ask for a drink from the bar as there wasn't someone readily available. Whilst the intention wasn't to 'get my money's worth' I would think twice in the future about booking again. regards Richard

Arrived around 5pm, no scones, food looked a little curled up. They did put out some fresh sandwiches and quiche after a while. To get a drink at the bar you had to leave your possessions to go to the bar. Not ideal.

No space available for seating as it was significantly over subscribed. Availability of snacks was poor with many dishes also having ran out and delays in replinishment. Probably one of the worst lounges I have been to- unfortunately

Hardly any food, only soup at lunch time, asked if there was sandwiches, as my granddaughter did not like soup that was available, and was told "no" so all that was available was nuts and crisps some biscuits and pre warped slices of cake, machine coffee, so all in all a poor selection and would not recommend them

It was my first experience using the aspire lounge. I booked it for my elderly mother and myself as we had about 5 hrs to wait between flights going from Heathrow to Baltimore USA. I had ordered wheelchair assistance for my mother for her reduced mobility. I was asked if I could push the wheelchair to the aspire lounge myself from the plane as there was no one available to assist which I did. Having successfully gone through arrivals etc I eventually arrived at the lounge for 12.30. We queued to get in and when we eventually got through admissions. I manoeuvred the wheelchair through a corridor with tables at one side .... Full of course as they had comfy chairs !!! I then negotiated the wheelchair through further obstacles of chairs, bags, people, staff without any assistance to find an empty table. It was difficult to say the least. I had to do a U turn as all tables were fully occupied. Eventually we waited for a business man to pack his laptop and go and had a table.. My mum wanted out of the wheelchair and onto a normal chair ... Where to put the wheelchair was another problem.... I blocked a space but no one seemed bothered so parked it. I cleared the table myself, putting the dirty crockery on the bar. Mum wanted a hot water. No hot water available. The hot drinks machine had broken and was being fixed.... Several people were asking when it would be ready.... 10 mins was the standard reply..... a further two hours down the line.... It was still 10 mins!!!! Pleased to say it did get mended just before we left!!!! But no hot drinks available during most of our 3 hour allotted time. There were no cold glasses or any glasses by the refrigerator for cold drinksso had to go and queue at the very busy bar ( remember ... No hot drinks)! for a nice warm glass !!!! Food was ok, nothing special.... A mixture of peanuts was available .... Help yourself ... There was a ladle to do this but men were delving in with their hand .... Totally unhygienic... Totally gross. Overall I would say don't bother booking in. It's not worth it. Totally unfriendly for Wheelchair users and definitely not worth the £70 for the two of us. Suffice to say I have not booked in for our return journey home. By the way, we booked into the Premier Lounge at Leeds/ Bradford before our flight to Heathrow and it was fabulous... brill food, lots of space, clean tables, comfy chairs, fabulous helpful, cheerful staff .....No comparison ..... Just saying!

The staff were fine but we expected more than a bacon sandwich and soup I know there was cheese etc. but a sandwich and salad would have made a big difference. And everyone around me said the same.

Me and my partner both travel alot and have used other executive lounges in Gatwick, Luton, Heathrow and Manchester and was disappointed by our experience in the Liverpool airport. staff seemed a little shocked that a young couple like ourselves had booked as I was told when I asked if I had come to the correct part "yes this is the airport lounge but you have to pay for this facility" to which I replied " well that's why iv come as I have a booking and made it 3months ago here's my paperwork" not only did I feel slight snobbery and judgement as if we didnt "fit" in with the normal clientele that go there, either way I can afford to use the lounges always have and yes I maybe young but iv worked very hard to have the job and wage I have and to get to a certain lifestyle. The other things we noticed was lack of staff, fridges were empty and food not replenished and the WiFi wasn't working and neither of the ladies were very helpful about it. Overall very disappointed as to the standard compared to previous experiences in other airports.

We have used the airport lounge in the past before it was revamped. Unfortunately we did not find the new lounge an improvement. We arrived at just after 1.00p.m. There was only a choice of two types of sandwiches and a tomato soup. We do not feel the increase in the fee is warranted at all as the ambience and facilities are not as good as before. We have used the airport lounge at Manchester Airport which is far superior - please take note. We hope that when we use the lounge in future you have made certain changes for the better.

When we arrived we were not greeted with a good morning or anything. The lady inside was not very pleasant. In the relaxing rooms none of the televisions worked. I asked for de-caff coffee and was advised none was available. The toilet can be used only if you pay £20 for use of the shower otherwise you had to go outside to use it.

Obviously being new it was very impressive building/lounge but it was badly let down by the staff/service. We arrived at lounge at approx 6 45am. There was a queue at the bar and no staff member to be seen. We waited a good 10mins for someone to turn up and start to serve the queue and I informed that member of staff that there had been no bacon sandwiches available during the 15 mins we had been in lounge. She said she would have a word and they arrived 10 mins later. So it took 25 mins after entering the lounge to get a bacon sandwich. As soon as bar queue was served the staff would disappear and quickly another queue would build up with no one there to serve them Shame the service badly let down the lounge

Ive selected poor because of the welcome we received on Saturday 3rd October check in time 7am by the blond ladie in her late fifties maybe sorry i did not get her name, she was most put out that I could only supply part of the email confirmation even though it had all my details on it, your booking ref number and proof of payment, I wasn't singled out for this treatment, The poor elderly gentleman before me got the same. I had to bite my lip and walk off before she finished talking to me like a little boy (I'm 45 and a business man) the type you want in your lounge, I also got two of the worst Bloody Mary's I've ever had. I would like a refund!! I should have taken more notice of the TripAdvisor Reviews and not used your Lounge.

The staff were lovely and tried to do their best, but the lounge was over-crowded and it seemed too much free alcohol was on hand - it certainly wasn't restful but the chairs were very comfortable.
