It was very quiet in our quiet zone compared with the madness in the main terminal. However I was expecting more. Food was poor and bland and the dress rules on your website were a joke - loads of groups in caps, vests, rugby shirts plus loads of crying children! JUST NOT what I expected

The food was plentiful and staff even accommodated mine and my daughters gluten intolerances however this was our second use of the lounge and on both occasions we were made to feel uncomfortable with my youngest child, the first time he was a little upset I'd like to add not crying and a member of staff came over to us and informed my husband that if he didn't settle we would be asked to leave! And this time several members of staff made points of saying that both the children needed to be careful as they had just had the chairs steam cleaned this was at the time when they were sat at the table eating! I found this made both experiences extremely uncomfortable and ultimately not enjoyable! Staff were unpleasant when collecting plates etc and we were not the only ones to comment on this. Unfortunately as we fly as a family frequently I don't feel we would use this again as if I'm paying for my children I expect them to be made welcome! Disappointed in the staffs attitudes to paying guests

The staff were amazing very polite and attentive the drinks even if there was a large queue at the bar they apologised there was a good selection of dunks great my biggest gripe would be the food, the bacon was hard and swimming in greese and the egg had gone hard and crusty on top we arrived at towards the end so thought we would wait for the lunch menu however this wasn't much better it was pasta pesto or pasta with tomato which again was very greesy or tomato soup , this is the 3rd time we have booked and sadly our last the first two times was excellent they had a selection of sandwiches cheese and crackers crisps cakes etc this time we had to ask for crisps and it all felt a bit on the cheap For £25 a head

It was nice to be away from the crowds of the terminal and feel relaxed before our flight. However I don't think it was particularly good value for money unless you plan on tanking up on alcohol. We were there at breakfast time and the pastries were slow to be replenished, the rest of the food selection was poor. The lounges are great as an escape but don't offer good value.

Staff were very pleasant and readily available to serve drinks. Toilets were spotless. Lounge was not overcrowded although it was a Friday early evening. Sandwiches ran out completely within an hour of our slot. Definitely not acceptable and ridiculous . Three quarters of the seating area was not allowed to be used. Also not necessary , was cordoned off by chairs preventing you entering the seating area.

Various selections of beverages and alcoholic drinks were good but hot food selection poor. Only 2 dishes available which were pasta and very uninteresting and dry plus soup. Nibbles okay and lounge very comfortable and staff very friendly but if expecting a decent light hot meal then you would be disappointed.

The lounge was a better place to sit, rather than other areas of Newcastle airport and with a small child it was not as busy. I feel that the Team Members could offer a more friendly and approachable service. The food was minimal and poorly displayed and not particularly appetising and it’s difficult to fit anything on the very small plates. The drinks were ok and nice to drink, when there was a TM to serve you. The soft drinks looked old and at times were flat with no fizz. Seating was better than what you usually get in some airports, but the seats were damaged slightly. I am a frequent flyer and use VIP lounges often, but I am undecided whether I would use the Aspire lounge again, as it offers very similar standards to other parts of Newcastle Airport.

Well, upon arrival from my 10 hour flight I walked in and said I had an online booking. It was at that point a lady said "we've got another one". Apparently they were training a gentleman that day and by another one were referring to me as an internet booking. Needless to say it wasn't the best of starts to my visit. The second lady realized that it was not nice to be greeted as "another one" and said hello. They then proceed to check my reservation, which was taking a fair bit of time as I suppose the gentleman was still learning the ropes. I even went and sat in a chair while the 3 of them hovered around a computer desk to check me in. I was then told to enjoy my stay. The room at the back where you can have a nice quick nap on the lounge chairs was great, although it could've used a door as a family decided to sit right beside the entrance, but it was still nice to be able to stretch out. The bathroom was in a bit of a state. I imagine the previous person using it had some sort of accident over the toilet seat. There was a good selection of soft drinks and snacks, and had the welcome been more welcoming I may have give this review a higher rating. Perhaps it would be best to ask the customer if they mind waiting a few minutes for check as they are training someone, instead of me having to ask "are you training him?". People are a lot more patient when they understand the situation, especially after a long day of travel.

Peace and quiet with plenty of room to sit. Good selection of papers and magazines. Food selection limited and nowhere near as good as Gatwick Lounge or even Terminal 5. No white wine available for our stay.
