“They arrived in great shape and were heat rated correctly. The chile were also priced better than I had ordered earlier in the season and I believe they sent me a pound or two extra! I will order from Fresh Chile again and will urge my friends to do the same.”

“From the time I placed the order it took approx. a week or so for my friend to get her order in GA. from Las Cruces. It arrived in good shape too. Very few reject chiles. Hard to get thru on the phone to this Co. to place my order but other than that it was a good experience and the customer service was nice & friendly. With all that and the FREE shipping with my order I can honestly say I will be ordering from this Co. again. :)”

“I ordered the Red and Green fresh chili along with 2 bottles of Red Sauce. The chili is large and very meaty... Some pieces has some age to them wrinkling... But, as a whole! I am very happy! The chili taste amazing. The only reason I gave a 4 Stars instead of 5 stars... was because the bottles of red chili sauce were placed in the same box with the fresh chili.... and as you know shippers are not kind to items being transported! But, I did get FREE shipping! So I recommend FRESH CHILI CO. And will buy again! Have not tried the red sauce yet, but it looks really good!”

“I ordered the hot G76 hatch chili . I was very surprised to find how much heat they have. These peppers were 6 to 8 inches long or better very meaty pepper and lots of heat. Cant wait wait to make fermented sauce with these.”

“Customer service is remarkable. Fast responses to my inquiries. UPS a little slow - fresh chiles sat an extra day in Las Cruces, so instead of Friday, my chiles arrived Monday. Took 6 Days for delivery as UPS does not deliver on weekends. Still looked fresh so I can't complain. Tasty too. I did not expect the boxes to look the way they did (holes and handle holes) for this fresh delivery - not sure what I was expecting, just surprised. Thanks. I am now ready to roast and enjoy.”

“I was satisfied before with the green chile that I ordered and recieved. Was going to order some more after I ordered the ristra. The Ristra is not a ristra as suck it is just a bunch of peppers tied together. Second you advertise it as a hatch chile ristra and use some sort of small peppers. Not at all what I expected nor what I was led to believe by the salesgirl I spoke with on the phone. I sent you an e-mail on this subject and have had no response. For this order I will give youa poor but should go to very poor”

We regret to hear that you are disappointed with your Hatch Chile Ristra. All of our ristras are made with Hatch chiles (which means chiles grown in the Hatch Valley.) The variety of Hatch chiles that make up our smallest ristras (like you ordered) are called Chile de árbol peppers. These are a hot, smoky, uniquely nutty-flavored pepper that has a heat index of 15,000-30,000 Scoville Heat Units. This chile is popular to use in salsa and some folks like to use it to make their own chile powder. As with most dried chiles, you can increase the flavor a little by applying some heat before use through popping them in the oven (400 degrees) for a couple of minutes or flash roasting in a dry pan on the stove. “The chili was very tasty. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because of the taste of lime juice I suppose is there for preservative. Just my preference, I don't like lemon or lime added to any chili I make or eat. That being said, the green chili flavor was great.”
