“I was satisfied before with the green chile that I ordered and recieved. Was going to order some more after I ordered the ristra. The Ristra is not a ristra as suck it is just a bunch of peppers tied together. Second you advertise it as a hatch chile ristra and use some sort of small peppers. Not at all what I expected nor what I was led to believe by the salesgirl I spoke with on the phone. I sent you an e-mail on this subject and have had no response. For this order I will give youa poor but should go to very poor”

We regret to hear that you are disappointed with your Hatch Chile Ristra. All of our ristras are made with Hatch chiles (which means chiles grown in the Hatch Valley.) The variety of Hatch chiles that make up our smallest ristras (like you ordered) are called Chile de árbol peppers. These are a hot, smoky, uniquely nutty-flavored pepper that has a heat index of 15,000-30,000 Scoville Heat Units. This chile is popular to use in salsa and some folks like to use it to make their own chile powder. As with most dried chiles, you can increase the flavor a little by applying some heat before use through popping them in the oven (400 degrees) for a couple of minutes or flash roasting in a dry pan on the stove. “We have tried and are hooked on red chili sauce we like the green and the mixed and I also bought a batch of the green hatch chilies plus some green chili and red chili pecans everything we bought Fresh Chili company is incredible”

“The chili was very tasty. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because of the taste of lime juice I suppose is there for preservative. Just my preference, I don't like lemon or lime added to any chili I make or eat. That being said, the green chili flavor was great.”

“Very good fresh picked chili delivered to MT. Large, thick walled chili, perfect for roasting, or chopping fresh for omelets or pico de gallo. House smelled of roasted chili for 3 days. One of the best memories of NM.”

“Received the box of Fresh Chile Peppers and opening it up the fresh smell of the peppers was wonderful They are large, thick beautiful chiles. I just roasted about 25 this morning and peeled under water like they said to do. Turned out great i will be making chile rellenos later today, I haven't roasted chiles before and it wasn't hard. My whole family is coming over to enjoy!”

“Big Jim’s were great! Roasted up and nicely frozen for future uses. Pistachios were disappointing. Totally bland! Suggest you try a lime chili seasoning instead of just chili powder.”

“This was the first time sending chile out of state, so I searched online and found the Freshchileco.com. I had found other companies, but found FCC to be the most user friendly. I spoke to a very friendly and helpful person to check on my order (Veronica) and she told me when the chile would be picked an shipped, (the same day), anyway it arrived in excelent condition When promised.
