Guttering got blown off front of my house last weekend with the 'high winds' up in Aberdeen - called up & reported it nice friendly guy even told me we had 57mph winds in Abedeen as we spoke..Churchill Sent up guy to take photo's etc - turns out it's not classed as a storm if it's not above 55mph winds! bins were all over the street + a tree down! So NO claim!!! Total joke they get there wind speeds off weather forecast which varies - was only going to be claiming around £200 after paying my excess..have over 5 years no claims(actually never claimed insurance before) so cancelled my policy immediately to gain some money back I paid them & wont use or advise Churchill again - especially with our high winds weather nowadays! We purchased our car insurance via the website which lead us to believe we had national recovery included in the package we selected. This has been missold on the website and when we actually broke down we were told we only had local recovery and it would cost £200 for us to get home. It also took 5 hours for a tow truck to eventually come. After a number of emails and calls highlighting the product we purchased online clearly shows national recovery nothing was done and we were told they could not help us further and did not refund the money.

1- Be warned, if Churchill is you insurance and you need them, then it more likely you wont succeed a claim 2. If your car s damaged, they take the car to Northwich, DLG It takes weeks to get your car back no matter how little your car is damaged 3. If you are entitled to have courtesy car, be warned, the car will have no fuel, . all in all, I am disgusted and leaving Churchill

Everything. Rang up as I thought I was being paying double on my home and buildings insurance - so phoned Churchill to cancel theirs as it looked more expensive on my bank statement- no-one as Churchill asked me if it was buildings or home. Found out through Countrywide who I was home insured with so went to reinstate my buildings insurance with Churchill for £12. However, AS I had cancelled my insurance. My new policy had gone up by £4 month because I was a NEW customer (3 years with them). I said yes to the new policy not realising that this was written in blood - £35 get out clause - but this was 24 hours ago - Surely we have some reflection time! So today I called them to say cancel it as I have found a cheaper one with the Post Office for £11 a month not £16 @ Churchill. They said I am not able to cancel as its a new policy. I cannot believe that such a reputable company has gone out of its way to treat customers this badly. Their policies are designed to rip people off . Definitely not the YES company they portray themselves to be. I will not be renewing after this.

I am taking all my insurances away from churchill. I have been a loyal customer for years. The way they have treated me with my car insurance is very unfair. Their customer service stinks. My advice is go elsewhere.

Poor offer for payout of my written off car (which wasn't my fault). Zero negotiation on offer....take it or leave it attitude. Extreamly abrupt and rude and would not listen to reason. Logic does not enter into the coversation. Keep clear.

Extremelly poor service for 3rd party claims. Unreasonable and illogical reasoning behind offer. Use removal of courtesy car as leverage to try make you accept a poor offer for an accident which was not your fault. Stay away!

Took insurance yesterday, promised the cover note send by email. It never arrived on time to get my car tax and it is going to dealy the delivery of my car by a week. I ever tried to get it sorted by calling the customer care, they advised me that they would need at least an hour to send an email confirmation of the insurance that I have paid for.

you are stealing money from customer rether then you do the job you need to stop liying on your customers , and be honest to keep your compagn up we pay to get better service not bullshit over the phone even the agent over the phone they are stupid they do not how to lie or trik custmer they think are smart then customer. come on give some respect to your customer and try to move on i had any accident past year not at fault i call them to let them know. they come to pick up my car to fix it witch is done but the bill come to me . they did not contact the third part . they told me your policy we be double until other insurance reply to us . they never replied , but i still paying double and i lost my bns i will never gonna trust this compagne . and for anyone who trying to apply for policy please be aware, as soon as you sign you will be fucked stay well back from them . choose other compagne thnx

service are crub , just taking money from customer, i had accident last year not at fault , the third part did not want to provide his details i went to police station to make complain, i did send evidence to churchil as proof was not my fault guest what. they put double price rether then they do there job . it mean it does matter if you pay for compenhansive or third part only i have been waiting for 1 year but still same song and same story. even third party insurance they did not want to reply to there message , end of the day we are the looser we have to pay for them , they just seating on front of desck taking payment nothink else i will never recomended churchil to anyone

I decided to pay the additional premium to include they're breakdown cover. Terrible mistake. Not cover at all, completely disingenuous. If i had the time I'd be reporting them to trading standards.

Had a very disappoint experience with Churchill Insurance. After having insurance since 2010 with them and changing vehicles they automatically took policy money from a credit card. This June they took the money without informing me and assured me they sent documents which I have yet to see. It was only by accident that I realised they had taken the money from a credit card that I no longer use and for a vehicle that is not longer being used and did not need insurance. When I phoned immediately I saw the error the person on the phone just kept going round in circles trying to catch me out. I eventually agreed to pay another month and administration fee of about £100 (waiting for the refund) for a vehicle that need no insurance. It is a con the way they are automatically allowed to take payments from cards!

I got my renewal through for this year for building and contents £637 . Went on money supermarket and Churchill came out at £218 for the same policy . Eventually got a better policy for £170.24 . Nobody at Churchill has given me a satisfactory answer . Paid £613 last as stupidly I thought that I was being given there best deal as I have been loyal for many years ( 6 cars as a family 2 pet and travel insurance policies all with Churchill ) now I have the time to check I think Churchill will gradually lose my business . LOYALY is a word they don't understand so look closely everybody before you pay .

Telephoned to discuss home renewal Information supplied incorrect Cancelled policy on 9 June. By 21 June Churchill were about to take out payment on my credit card despite cancellation Phoned again Staff member very rude to me saying that there was no record of any phone conversations - '"I must have been mistaken in believing I had phoned". Basically called me a liar. Churchill are clearly exploiting in my view people by renewing insurance by the back door,

After a leak in my kitchen,I had to chase them to get a figure for repairs and the compensation for wasting my time . ( Not turning up after I had taken time off work for their surveyor to come round) Then found out that they only cover items damaged so, if like me the tiles and cupboards are no longer made, you either have to pay not only the very high excess for water damage but also for replacing items so your kitchen matches. I had not made a claim on my household insurance for over 25 years and hope I never have to again, it has been a horrible experience
