Been with Churchill for years all my insurance policies are with them even down to holiday insurance no more as they want to charge you extra to go from yearly payments to monthly and charge for cancellation this is all due to me moving home loyalty does not count so I will be withdrawing all my policies

Sold my car on 13 May 2017. Wrote to Churchill explaining why I would no longer require car insurance and that I was cancelling the direct debit. Received a letter a week later asking for payment for the cancelled DD. I phoned the company three times each time held in a queue for so long I nearly gave up. Each call was answered but they hung up as soon as I started speaking. On the third time I called I requested a call back which duly happened but again the "customer service" team hung up as I was speaking. On the fourth time I called I was actually acknowledged only to be shunted from department to department each time put on hold again. I gave up and will never again use this company. I will not call again and waste my time on these ignorant idiots and they better not send me a bill either as they will be getting one back from me for my time and costs.

Worse car company ever!!!! Have accused me of having a crash and then paying out a lot of money towards the other driver without any contact!! Worse company ever! Will not help you in anyway shape or form! Accused me of having an accident 200miles away from where I actually live and even though I have evidence it wasn't me they still have paid out - making my insurance sky rocket! As soon as it is sorted I am living Churchill for good and making an extreme formal complaint! Absolute time wasters!!!!!! I can't express how angry I really am... I advise you never to get your insurance from such a useless company!!!

Sent a letter to cancel my motor insurance,as the policy was due to expire 6th April 2017.I simply said I no longer own the car,so no longer needed the cover.This was sent on the 28th march 2017.However,I was still sent a new Insurance certificate.I rang them to tell them the situation,to which I was told the policy had been cancelled and no more money will be taken.As a precaution I also cancelled the direct debit. Happy days?................unfortunately not.Soon got a letter saying simply cancelling direct debit does not cancel the policy.It seems obvious that their departments don't communicate with each other.Receiving 2 letters saying I am breaking a credit agreement makes me feel like a criminal,So I ask the question......What does it take to cancel a policy? Seems a letter AND a phone call simply isn't enough. Just goes to show,if I hadn't cancelled the direct debit,I would have been paying for a policy that I didn't want.Wont be using Churchill again.Crooks.

The garage that repair the small body work damaged after I was hit by an 18 year old (who admitted it was his fault). Damaged the metatronic box on my Audi Q5. We have the full diagnostic from Audi in Watford stating the only issue is the metatronic box no other issue with car including the gearbox. This includes date and time and my car was not in my possession at that time. My Audi Q5 has been sat with Audi for nearly 5 weeks awaiting the authorization from Churchill to repair the car. The garage have sent all the document through and yet churchill do nothing. No calls from the garage no calls from churchill to update me. I have not been provided with an equilvent car as suitable replacement by churchill. I had pick my new baby son and wife in a car nearly capable of taking a baby car base unit and wife had a c section and very little space to sit in. I told churchill the courtesy car is not suitable for my needs and been provided by the garage not churchill. this clearly either a deliberate business model for churchill or just sheer incompetence. My rights as a customer have been completely ignored I have been treated as a liar cheat and criminal by churchill who done nothing but blame Audi. Audi have kept informed and updated at all times. Churchill are the criminals and liars. My advice to any person who a premium car is do not insure with churchill the cheapskates

Terrible company - getting any information out of them, Didn't bother to contact me that a claim had been made against me and then make the decision to find me at fault without investigating. Provided minimum information and a pain to chase.

Filled out application to purchase car insurance on line got a competitive price ok to go ahead with all suddenly goes wrong price doubles ???? stay well clear untrustworthy

Disgusting Company! I bought another car and sold old one. My previous car covered another insurance company. After that when I sold I got from them the NCD. I send to Churchill this proof on special email address what is accept only the NCD proof. 5 minutes later I get back confirm email, how They got it. In this email They promised next 5 days will send me all documents. after 4 days I called them, because had a bad practice with several insurance companies accepting NCD. But the lady admin said everything is fine. After 6 weeks I got a letter from churchill I need pay 160 gbp, because I dont sent to them NCD. I got this letter as an shock. Phoned them but the admin was arrogant. I shut the phone and continues the discuss in chat platform with another admin. She phoned the previous insurance company they proof me, my NCD Is valid. Lady ask from me: what is expiry date? I said it is only the deadline what mean, if I dont claim money until this date, my NCD will be valid. So definitely valid. My previous insurer is said same to the admin lady in phone. Lady said me ok your NCD is really valid , but she ask when I bought the car? I said 2017. But She seen 2014. (May I did press wrong button on numeric keys) I said, it does not matter because the NCD bonus is depend how long I paid previous insuranece without money claim and if is it more than 1 year, I will get NCD level bonus. She refered to churchill policy is not true I need pay 152 included admin fee or cancel my policy immediately. I needed accept and get 1 week for paying. After that I think again.... Why I need pay exactly? and phoned them again the man said they did not get from me NCD. Shock again! I said to him: another admin phned my previous insurer and get all the proof from them. The amdin man said me he find not. I was really angry and gone to the CAB. (CITIZENS ADVICE BURO) I take them all proof about NCD and Churcill response, how They getting the NCD, from me. CAB is phoned them. The lady is told again they not get the proof. And I need pay 171 gbp (3rd different amount)The CAB admin said is simple lie, because she see now my proof what I got from churchill. churchill admin phoned again my previous insurer because she doesnt understood the expire date. (explanation is below the letter, so I think all of insurer admin an idiot incompetent person , because cant read) so churchill admin got the proof again. and she said I need pay 84 gbp. (4th diffrent amount) I ask why? Because the details change is only for address, job, or name. She said because I bought the 2017 not in 2014 (She refered to policy, but I find not nowhere this information) I said to her: no matter when I bought, because the NCD level is not depend from it. Is depend how long I had valid insurance without claming. She offer me after that 77gbp. (5 th amount) I was tired angry and tense. so accept. but asked the reason why, because will pay that , but I dont close this case yet) She said: Because my new car is different and have no practice for driving it. PFFFFFFFFFFFF... I ask do you know what kind was my previous car? She said no. From where you getting this information I have no practice? I had driving licence more than 15 years. and my new car is a personal car not lorry , not bus, does not matter brand. It is UK 2017! BRAVO!!!! 5 different amount, lie about getting the proof, and reason is totally fake why I need pay. In america in the same situation fro insurer need pay lot of compensation. Why? Because I waste time, energy, money for administration with phone and travel, and nervous, shaked my bodies near to heart attack for several shocking. otherwise.. all of UK insurer a robber. Just a short example about driving practice. If I use the mountain bike and after that use a bmx I forget bycycling?or if a make black tee today, but tomorrow earl grey, will be bad? It is exactly damaging of clients. Idiots.....

I was misinformed that I was not allowed to be the registered keeper of a vehicle with my son as the primary driver. The agent was very reluctant to escalate and kept shouting me down when I requested to talk to her line manager or supervisor. After 15 minutes on hold, she returned and informed me that she was mistaken and that we could continue with the quote. She was very surprised when I refused and insisted on being transferred to her line manager. Not a pleasant experience, all in all.

I am currently trying to contact you as my car has been damaged by another driver while parked outside my home, phoned the 24 hr claim line, 7 days a week !!!! To be told it's closed !!!!!!! I need help and advice and can't get it

6 weeks on and no repaired car back - UK Assist in Warwick tell lies and i have had a full day and half day off at their bidding on 2 separate occasions to wait for car - which never turns up! Without a doubt Churchill is the WORST car insurance brand as they use inferior garages with no professional acumen, common sense or honesty. I now suspect they have damaged my Audi TT so will drive over in their rubbish down market hire car to investigate! :)

Had.New for Old and Accidental damage. Claimed for damaged Top Range ACER Laptop. Sent to their Tech agents. Total rite off . Had £200 Excess.but they offered me a replacement @ £ 234 at Currys & not same spec !! I refused it as Acer was full spec & 8 hour battery life. Got 2nd unit & promised it was better than acer. After running it & recharging. Found it only had 3 Hour battery Life. Checked spec & 3 Hours was correct. Bunch of Corrupt Lying Trash.

I cancelled my policy in december and they have still be trying to charge me, despite having rung them to cancel policy. They cant find any confirmation of call, basically insinuated that i was a liar. Rude staff. Now have to find the insurance documents for a old place I owned so they will not charge me

You can not make a change to your policy without a £25 admin fee, there is no online option where you don't have to pay this. Any change ends up being a minimum of £50.00. Documents come out in the post which is behind the times most other companies use an online portal so you have to wait longer to send your new NCD to your new insurance company. Stay clear is my advice.

Stay clear ABSOLUTELY USELESS. Had a buscome in to my line when at the side of it put claim in, constantly ringing Churchill to find out what was going on as they never got back to me . Didn't even let me know they bent over and made me take partial blame!!!!

Don't ever buy Churchill car insurance! I have just received all the paperwork for my new car insurance with them and noticed that by mistake I ticked the box that says I am a homeowner (I wish but that will probably not happen any time soon). I called Churchill to correct that detail and was told that I will now be charged £117 more, which is over 25% of what I have already paid! Such a discrimination for people that are not homeowners! It is despicable especially looking at the housing crisis these days! And I already get higher quotes for not being married! Outrageous!

Worst insurance company ever. My problems started when I tried to cancel my policy renewel, I told them no but they took it upon themselves to renew anyway. Plus when I complained about the price they were able to knock £400 off the yearly price just like that. God knows how many people they rip off each year.
