The main issue I have is the phone loop you get caught up in when calling, automated sellection after sellection. often more than once. In the end (after 16 mins) the only way to get to speak to a person was to speak my datails incorrectly several tmes until it transfered me to a receptionist. ALL THIS TIME IT IS A CHARGED NUMBER (NOT A FREE PHONE NUMBER). They then took me to a set of security questions , then sent me off to another team and more security questions. A after 28 minutes I got an answer to my question. ALL ON A CHARGED NUMBER.

My pet insurance has increased by £126.29 this year which equates to a 33% increase despite never having made a claim. I contacted legal and general and after waiting in excess of 25 minutes for the telephone to be answered, the person I spoke to didn't even want my details, she immediately told me this was the lowest price that could be offered

I had a SERPS Annuity issue with this bunch of cavaliers for over 2 years and nothing was resolved. All they done was dance around the issue. Worst company on the planet.

What a rubbish company. I cant change my trustee, with out his agreement. I even cant cancel my policy if my trustee wont agree. I pay money and i cant do what I want. Keep away from this company.

Avoid!! Avoid!!! Avoid!!!!!! Have a leak in a roof valley which has caused water damage inside my home and brought the bathroom ceiling down. Made a claim online and was promised a call back between 5 pm and 8 pm the next day. I finished work early to make sure I was available. The call never came so I had to contact them again. Refused the claim because "there has not been enough rain to meet their criteria". I live in Doncaster, look at the news! This is the first claim I have ever made from any insurance company after being a home owner for over 30 years. To be told there has not been enough rain when parts of the town and village i live in are under water is scandalous.

Completely screwed over. Go to another company as these people give the bare minimum even for escape of water!! The excess is so high there's no point claiming. Between me and my husband we have made 1 other claim in 50 years. These people will quibble over everything, don't give them your money. Very disappointed.

Try to claim your pension, what a joke! I've been trying since August. They had all documents 7/10/19. I had to submit again last week and everytime I ring 50mins on phone and am told '15' days to process. Friday I was told 3 days yesterday back to '15'days. Happy taking the money but don't want to give it back.

Absolutely shocking experience with the emergency home cover. Water coming down my walls on Saturday morning to be told that the emergency home service couldn't come out till Tuesday. Then Tuesday came I stayed in all day even had the day off work and they rang me at 13 38 to say they would be with me in about 1 hour 10 minutes. At 4 30 I decided to ring to see where they were and they told me they would ring between 5 and 6. 6 30 came and they rang me to say its too dark now to come so they never showed up. I thought a emergency home cover was 24/7 365 days a year because that's what it says on the website. I'm so disappointed with this service and I would recommend people to avoid this service.

My legal and general pension is losing £500 a month !!! I'm watching my life savings slowly disappear to nothing . It is a managed lifestyle pension , they say it's low risk . It's not !

Avoid this company!! I took out life insurance several years ago with my wife as a trustee. We have since divorced but L&G refuse to remove her despite a court order and me paying into it. Apparently the only way to remove her is by her removing herself!!?!! The company does not understand that circumstances change over a lifetime and do not respect court orders. I know it would be simple to cancel, but I am older now and taking a new policy would be much more expensive, so I tried to avoid this. If the company cannot respect your wishes and a court order whilst you are alive, how can you trust them with your estate when you are no longer around? Avoid this company!

Dreadful experience simply trying to renew my claim. The online renewal did not work...it kept asking me to provide a valid post code and reference number, so since the post code was correct, the reference number was incorrect. When I tried to renew on the phone, after suffering a lecture on how much better and quicker it would be to renew online, I was directed to the auto-renewal, and because the reference number was incorrect, it didn't work. I attempted to get through again, made a mistake and had to endure the speech on auto-renewal twice more. Eventually, I got into the operator queue..."Thanks for holding on, we ARE on our way to help" is all I have got for the past 15 minutes. Yeah, right. Still waiting, and wondering whether to just cancel rather than renew. 20 minutes later: OK, easy decision, I will cancel.

Every time I put a claim in there was always a reason to reject. Also on my policy schedule sent to me It showed I was covered for cost of cremation and funeral costs but when I went to claim I was told that as my dog was over 9 years old this would not apply to me. Apparently it states in the 'small print' but when you pay a higher premium for cover for you dog paying over 40.00 per month you expect to be covered. Otherwise why do they charge you extra for an older dog!!

I would advise anyone not to use Legal and General pet insurance services I have been waiting over four months for a pay out for my dogs cruciate ligament repair. Despite several phone calls, a formal complaint and a promise of payment I am still waiting. Unfortunately I have two dogs insured with them and have had to put three more claims in after a particularly difficult time with them, I have no hope of getting them processed. Terrible service , hours on the phone and lack of action from the complaints department .

Put in a claim for the death of my dog. Contacted them and they forgot to send the claim form to me. Had to call again, very long wait time to talk to someone. Took over a month to get a response and was then told I couldn’t claim. This did not help with grieving my beautiful boy. I had to ring several times and was told they would call me back. Took 40 minutes to get through! And then took 48hrs to call me back. Awful service will not use again!!!

Had a valuation done by L&G surveyors and we were not happy with the value given as the house 2 doors away had sold for the same money 5 years previous and was only a 3 bed not a 4. Decided to use another firm to confirm valuation and L & G were only £40,000 out. This had a massive knock on effect as we were waiting for funding for some building work, so builders lost out and Nat West lost out as we took our business elsewhere.

Dear all. Please email the PRA and raise alarms about the market failure that everyone is finding (i.e. taking premiums but not delivering the serrvices required) failure. If everyone is proactive, then the regulators will have to take note.
