Website utterley useless, as is trying to find out if an item is in a local store. Been to store twice looking for item, decided to order online for delivery, wanted to charge me membership when I already have it. Filled all my details in, address, etc, missed one small item, wanted me to start all over again. Gone on line to Amazon, ordered in seconds!

I ordered 6 dry bags, out of which 2 had a broken top band on them. I emailed customer service and they said take them back to a store. My nearest store is 67 miles away, I asked if I could post them to someone, was told no. I explained why, was told that they can't examine the bags at the warehouse, I explained that I was a long way from the nearest shop. They asked for pictures, I sent them pictures, they said they would contact me within 5 days. 8 days later I rang them, I was told I had to send them to a store. I went through the whole thing again and was told that the pictures hadn't been looked at. After more than half an hour on the phone, I was told that they would be collected, we set a date and I was told I would be sent an email telling me what to do. No email, no collection and now 2 days after the collection day. I've been told by friends of similar experiences. Go Outdoors customer service is utterly useless. I will never buy anything from them again. I wouldn't give them any stars but that isn't an option

Update on my review 4 days ago, didn’t think things could get worse but this company have gone beyond rubbish. Having emailed CS numerous times and spoken to them on 8 occasions, plus 2 more with managers, I chose to cancel my remaining order on Sunday. Received an email this morning saying out of stock so they lied to me for 8 days!! I had to make a 70 mile round trip to a respectable company in who know how to treat customers to purchase a tent for this weekend. Cant comment on the stores but definitely avoid online otherwise you will be left disappointed. They then emailed to say part of my cancelled order was on its way, cannot even cancel an order properly 🤣

Rubbish online service don’t touch them! Chose to order with them as they had the sleeping bag I wanted, that arrived within two days. Chased up the rest of the order which included the tent, was told it was in stock and ready for picking. Heard nothing for two more days so chased again, told the same and they would chase and get back to me, heard nothing. 5 days later and still waiting rubbish service, rubbish online account which doesn’t work as above don’t shop online ☹️🤬

Price match a scam.. their generated auto response is "the product is out of stock at the competitor therefore we cannot price match " and before you have chance to prove that it isn't in stock, they have closed the case so you have to start a new one and so it starts all over. Scum.

My issue, we bought two camping chairs from the Go Outdoors website on Saturday (18.06), they had an offer on for two chairs for £90 (full price was £49 each, reduced to £90 when you bought 2), after ordering I received a confirmation email. We had attended the new Bury store to buy them but they were sold out (which is fine) but the staff (when one could be located) were beyond useless, for a new store, it was a huge shame it’s that poor so quickly. I have since checked my bank account and noticed that Go Outdoors issued a refund of £41, leaving £49 paid, I have had no communications, no emails or calls to let me know what’s going on, I assume one of the chairs has been cancelled, (a guess but makes sense) it’s all been a very poor experience. I also have issue with how the refund was only just enough to leave a full price chair on the order, I think that’s particularly bad that Go Outdoors would allow me to buy items based on an offer, only to alter the offer after I’ve paid so Go Outdoors end up with the full price for a part order, that’s borderline scam. Just a poor experience, and to add salt, it seems most of the stuff on offer at Go Outdoors is similarly priced elsewhere so I for one will not be returning anytime soon. So im stuck with no communications from Go Outdoors, ive emailed etc, but nothing back, no chairs and my money is with them so I cant even buy from another supplier, what if this lot go bust!!! not happy.

Absolutely shambles of a company. Waiting days for an update on my online order which I chased, to be told it was processing to be dispatched shortly, followed by a further e-mail 15 minutes later saying the order was cancelled with no reason. I am certain if I hadn't chased this I would have never been contacted. I questioned this to be told "it looks like the item is out of stock" and "our website does not always show real time stock". Well that's helpful. The item has been since I ordered and still is showing "in stock". I'll now order it from Amazon which I should have done in the first place and will NEVER waste my time and money with Go Outdoors or any JD Sports company again.

Needed a changing robe and spotted one on the Go Outdoors website. It was showing as in stock online and also in stock at my local store. As I needed it for a swim in 2 x days, I selected click and collect as the website showed that it would be available within a matter of hours. I received the order confirmation straight away but I still hadn’t received a collection email a day later. I decided to drive to the store to see what was happening. I was told that they didn’t have any in store but they could order one, however, upon checking the system it transpired that Go Outdoors actually didn’t have any in stock at all. Complete waste of time. The store assistant told me that the website is never right. I submitted a complaint to Customer Services and was told that I should’ve received a cancellation email, they apologised for not sending that. How about not offering items for sale that aren’t in stock.

As with loads of other reviewers; order, order confirmed, almost two weeks later order cancelled by them. The shops are great, online they are atrocious…..don’t bother with them.

Scouts avoid! Wish I’d looked here first. Ordered items only to have the bulk cancelled yet it still shows as in stock online. Now I’m left paying for next day delivery and a members card to get some tent pegs that were an after thought. Scouts should avoid this as their business practices do not align with Scout beliefs. They do not do their best, they are not honest, and they are definitely not doing a good turn! I truly wish I could give zero star.

Have a considerable amount voucher to spend in Go Outdoors given as a birthday present, I have tried for 6 months to buy a pair of walking boots from the Pudsey branch, but they never have a size 5 in, they are unwilling to order them in, they tell you to order online and pay for them first (again they can't do this in store) so they tell you to order online, but the voucher won't work online, despite ringing customer service to be told my voucher is still in date. But they can't let me use it online even though there are size 5s online. Asked for a manager to call back, still not had a call back. Its appalling

Avoid ordering anything online with Go Outdoors!! Their customer service is the worst have have ever experienced. They are rude, lie and even shout at you on the telephone!!! Avoid at all cost and go elsewhere. Shame I had to give one star as they are not even worthy of that!!!!!!

On day 8 waiting on a three-day delivery, then I found out that GoOutdoors is owned by Peter Cowgill of JD Sports. The man who runs manual warehouses does not believe in computer systems for logistics and has ruined Evans Cycles by knowingly selling items, out of stock as in stock. I would have bought it from Decathlon if I had known.
