Returned a £70 pair of walking boots to the Scunthorpe store with my adult son who had worn them three or four times before the lining had started to separate from the boots. A manager looked at them then sent a deeply embarrassed junior assistant to tell my son that his feet were too small (he is a size 12, so naturally, he had bought size 12) and had moved around causing the fault. They were not prepared to exchange or refund despite our having the receipt. We stood our ground and eventually the same manager had another look and decided that they were faulty. We considered choosing more expensive boots and paying the difference but then realised that would mean they had won, so we took our refund. What appalling treatment of customers and staff. Avoid.

Purchased a jacket from go outdoors and found the same considerably cheaper elsewhere at several other stores. Tried the go outdoors price match promise and they refused as the jacket, although available instore, was not available on there website. Terrible service and will not be renewing my "discount" card and will take my custom elsewhere. Please check other stores before purchasing as they more than likely be cheaper

Went to Go outdoors Bristol to buy a pair of walking shoes. A lady called Kerrie Jones helped me. She was very helpful and knowledgeable despite being busy. So pleased to find someone who knows their stuff without being pushy for a sale. I love my new shoes. Thank you Kerrie.

If I could give 0 Stars I would. Avoid this company!!!! I ordered many things for a camping trip, amongst it I ordered 4 x camping chairs, 2 blue and 2 red. I receive the parcel which is supposed to contain 4 chairs, instead it contains only 2 chairs. I wrote to them straight away asking them to send me my 2 missing chairs. A week later I am still trying to get 2 chairs or my money back. They want me to claim I never received the parcel so they can claim money back for lost items and postage!!

Disgusting company, customer service is terrible. Ordered 2 shelters only 1 delivered. Now been 3 weeks, loads of e mails and phone calls later, and still no further forward. For something so simple, either send another shelter, they were quick enough to take my money!!! Or send me a refund. Oh no thats way to complicated for them!! I will never ever use again, or recommend to anyone.

Avoid. Ordered a tent and footprint. After I called a few times to ask if there was a reason for the delay the tent was cancelled (no apology or explanation). A smart company would have asked if I still wanted the footprint. Apparently their warehousing isn't integrated with CRM, which is a ridiculous excuse. No free returns by post or to the high street stores on the returns letterhead (Millets, Blacks and Ultimate Outdoors). So now I'm out of pocket for their poor service.

If I could give no stars, I would! Long story: Ordered boots in the sale beginning of March - there was (apparently) a technical issue meaning I had to cancel my order and repurchase. I was promised the price I paid would be honoured and I would also receive 10% discount. The new order has still not been dispatched and I have not been refunded. Customer service invent a number of rules around refunding, dispatching and technical issues to get you off the phone. One moment I can't be refunded over the phone, the next they say they can over email ... but not the correct amount. Going round and round in circles. Now approaching the end of May. Such a waste of time and disgusting service - please order elsewhere.

Made 3 orders, 2 time they have missed an item, first one was a minor item, so let it slide, thinking it was out of stock, and would be sent later, it wasn't. The second one was the main item in the order. Absolutely abysmal service. Go Outdoors are by far the worst retail company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Its been almost a month and still not resolved the issue, they are just blaming other deparments, and passing me from pillar to post. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

On two occasions they have taken an order (and the money) then failed to deliver a number of items. Unhelpful customer service and no guarantee you will actually receive what is in your basket. Avoid.

I placed an order which was accepted, then cancelled by go outdoors. Head office is saying the item is still showing as available. I keep trying to telephone the store to enquire, no answer at all from the Sheffield or Doncaster stores. Need some staff on their telephone lines.

I Purchased a berghaus air4 tent carpet. When opening the carpet we noticed there were leaves and a big purple stain on the carpet, obviously been used. I informed go outdoors and was instructed to return the carpet for a refund, all I wanted was a replacement carpet, but this is not there policy. After 22 days, several phone calls and threatening legal action I got my money refunded. I feel totally disgusted with service I received from the CUSTOMER CARE TEAM, if this is how they look after there customers, I'm glad I will never be one again.

Avoid like all the other comments customer service appalling. Ordered clock n collect at erdington branch. Put in my discount card number online and the items were reduced to £20 in total. When I got to store they wanted to charge me £25 as he said my card had expired. When I asked why online this had not come up as invalid or expired!! He said he didn’t know. I asked to speak to the manager because tbh if I had known I could have got the items cheaper else where as I hate the attitude of go outdoors staff!!! Manager came over not having it he said if you use a discount t code online and it’s no good not his fault. I said yes it is if it’s ur discount card and your system isn’t good enough to tell customers it has expired. He said it was my fault I should have remembered I had had it 12 months. Are you joking!!!!!! I left the store without my items as I was determined to only pay what my email said I had to pay instore. I sat in the car and called their customer service and a lady answered looked at my order and agreed I should only have to pay £20. I walked in with my phone and told to so called manager that I had his head office on and he really didn’t give a dam. He said he would call them and 15 minutes later he came off the phone and said it’s wrong but he will honour it!!! And then started to argue with me as a customer why he was right. I said I’m not arguing with you just get my items. I will never step foot in go outdoors again this is the 3rd time they have cocked up with stock or prices and I think they are trained to be as obnoxious as possible and then they become managers!!!!

Failed to deliver an order. Failed to explain why. Still hasn’t even been picked and packed but they refuse to provide a refund. Do not buy from Go Outdoors.
