Green motion Stansted Airport - NEVER AGAIN! Charged £160 for a micro scratch on the alloy wheel that was present when I got the car. For that money you can buy a new wheel. Who knows how many customers were already charged for the same irrelevant “damage” before me. A pitty, the car was nice, but when you are in a hurry to catch your flight you don’t have time to stand for justice. My advice to anyone reading, go for another rental company!

Terrible service at greenmotion in Podgorica airport Terrible service at Podgorica airport. Slow at the till. Spent over 20 minutes serving individual customers. With sooo many more on the queue. Gave a poorly car and refused to change it. Avoid at all COST

I made the huge mistake of renting a car from Green Motion Stansted. Trust me; even if Hertz, Avis, Enterprise or any other reputable large company is twice the price of Green Motion, you should stick with the reputable rental companies. These guys are a total scam. You will end up paying at least double of what you thought it would cost you. They are borderline legal with what they do and because they know that the normal consumer will not have a legal battle with them they take full advantage of their small print in their terms and conditions. I would not recommend you to take any issues up with their customer service as you will also lose your mental health as well as your money. If/when you contact their customer service you will receive standard bot like responses and if you continue badgering them they will start to respond in a rude, “I don’t care” attitude that will make you mad… Be warned: stay away from these guys.

Warning, stay away. Our company booked a long term rental for a working tour (5 weeks). We booked online - they were very quick and happy to take the money (about £1.1k) We completed the pre-pickup online check-in successfully. Once we arrived, the CS representative did not have our details (30' wasted the day before). Furthermore, since we did not have a credit card in the drivers' name, we were charged an extortionate £621 EXTRA (55% more than we expected), to then lower our deposit and use a Debit Card. I would like to add that we've rented cars regularly at SIXT, Enterprise, Europecar, Hertz and Avis - never once, in the UK, we needed a credit card. We've always used our Business Debit card. Terrible experience, will NEVER book again, just sharing this as a word of warning for other customers.

Absolutely disgusting treatment. Customer service appalling, a family of 4, 2 small children, we were in the rental office over 2 hrs, we had a booking which I paid for on a credit card, my husband the main driver. He brought a debit card but this wasn’t accepted for a deposit. They refused to put myself as the lead driver and use my credit card, I phoned the third party easy jet to ask to change the booking, they said they were happy for green motion to change the name. They still refused. It ended with them not renting to us, I lost my money and booked through enterprise rent a car. Done within 10 minutes, better car, better customer service and cheaper!! The manager at Edinburgh airport at green motion was possibly one of the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with (even my five year old said that) avoid this company like the plague!!!!I will be taking this further to get my money back, even the legal route if necessary!

Careful, this company is not trustful. I was scammed by them in the end of September 2022. They hid the final cost and charged me extra at arrival. Also, they don't put your credit card on hold for deposit. They will take almost 800 euros from your credit card as a deposit, which is very high, and when you take the car back they will try to find a fault that you did not make to not refund you. If you contact them to make a complaint they will ignore you. I would not recommend their service at all, they scam tourists in Greece!

This company is notorious for showing you minor damage when you rent a vehicle and ask you to sign and accept it then, when you return the vehicle, claim you have caused new additional damage and immediately dedect the vastly over estimated repair cost from your security deposit. Subsequently, they never actually repair the minor damage in order to fool future customer to pay and recover the repair cost many times over. Then they never answer emails, phone calls or voice messages hoping you don't take action. I was warned they do this by two friends who got caught by this scam. Beware. Scam. They give you cars with scratches and one paper were they are not reflected. The cars are parked in the way that the scratches are not visible ( near the fence for example). you go trusted wit the car buy when you return the car they suddenly find the scratch. We were thee at te same time returning cars and all the tree in the same situation: with " new scratches". The employee is insoportable rude, speaking without looking to your face ( maybe is the conscious) and super arrogant. He was eating in the office wich is super disgusting. The charge for the supposed scratch is 287£. I asked him please to send me a picture when they repair the scratch just to check, and he told that that they won't and the will rent again with this scratch. All a mess. Please don't rent here for your health. We went totally sad with the children and family. They destroyed our holiday.

PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! It’s a complete scam—they will find a scratch on your car and even if you didn’t make it they will charge you!! We rented a car in London for $800 and ended up paying almost double fir bogus charges. BEWARE!!!!

I pre booked a car with green motion for£130. When I got there was told it was£144. Then I was told because I had an early flight it would be an additional £144.I then told them I would not be taking the car because there were trying to RIP me off. So they told me I won't be getting my money back. I will be taking them to court for the return of my money and damages incurred having to find another car. DONT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGPOLE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. Do what I should have done and read all the reviews.

Horrendous. READ, READ the various articles and investigations. The company fails to record incredibly minor existing damage, then charge you for this on return. When I attempted to challenge this I was physically ejected from the office. I’ve had to file a police report in an attempt to resolve this blatant fraud and assault.

Worst experience of my rental exp,I booked on line with Expedia, the total cost with taxes and fees was $154.79 I pay , were to pick up the car at greenmotion in foral and for my surprise and disgusting the told me that the total price was $740.00 what a Thief!! The don’t accept my own car ins and want to charge $120.00per Day! I have my own SunPass,but they insisted I have to pay another 12.99 Per Day! Que ladrones!! Im putting a complaint on the BBB,Another to the consumers protection Agency and another more, people please take the time to take this abuse and your complaints to this agencies,is the only way to make them being exposed and hopefully eliminating from the market.

Really poor company. Quote a cheap price but then try charge you for old damage etc. You are much better off paying slightly more and going for a reputable company - it will save you a lot of money and hassle. Check out other reviews on them and it will tell you all you need to know!

Shocking customer service when Parking Eye give you a fine for overstaying the free parking 30 minute time - no staff tell you or advise you and you’re displaying a valid disabled badge - and the reason you’re delayed is because of their processes taking beyond 30 mins - then they refuse to intervene as it’s between Parking Eye and the vehicle registered keeper Will never use again I feel scammed

I paid twice for a rental car rental in UK at Liverpool airport. Had to book Green motion because no other companies on offer on Rental Cars site. I paid €369 on Rentalcars online and chose not to take extra insurance. On collecting the car I handed over my Visa gold débit card for the deposit and was told they needed a credit card. I don't possess one. Initially it was £50 per day extra then they reduced it to £45, so £450 extra. Either I paid it or didn't get the car. No other REPUTABLE car rental company is as high handed. I resent paying over £800 for a rental car. Totally inacceptable. I will never hire with Green motion again. Avoid at all costs if you don't want to be ripped off.

Green Motion took my money twice. One time per RentalCar App and second time in the office when I wanted to take car for longer time. In e-mail they wroted me that will be cost +68 EUR, then I called because it was not clear until which hour this should to cost. Guy on the phone said "Come to us and we will arrange everything". Yeah, I came to the Lithuania and they said I must to pay 220 EUR!!! So I paid 47 for GreenMotion by RentalCar and 220 EUR for GreenMotion in the office because they lied that It's not possible to rent car without full insurance. Just after at the same day I saw that if I had rent car by RentalCar again then I will pay just about 150 EUR for one week. So 270 EUR for one week in Lithuania. I readed so many bad comments at google and facebook about Green Motion! NEVER EVER AGAIN

Do not trust the underhand, money-grabbing methods of Green Motion. As per normal for car rental companies, I was offered the extra insurance what they called 'a cost reduction package' I explicitly stated that I did not require this. I had already pre-paid £254.62. I certainly was not going to pay an extra £224.50 for insurance that I did not require. Immediately after stating that I definitely did not want to pay the extra money, the salesclerk said that he just needed to swipe my card to take a deposit which is normal course of action, so I did not hesitate to sign. Upon returning the vehicle I waited for the deposit to be returned but 3 weeks later it had not been returned so I contacted customer services who told me that I would not be getting my money returned as this was a fee for extra insurance. The extra insurance that I declined! They fraudulently took this money and refused to return it. They are a despicable and unethical company, avoid at all costs unless you want to be ripped off.

After reading all the bad reviews I thought It can't be that bad. It is!! Please stay away. Spend a little more money and go to a recommended Car Rental Company. They were charging me £300 for 2 day hire of a Fiat 500. Unbelievable. Fraud.

I paid for car rental in advance through Easyjet with my husband named as driver. I always do the booking and my husband does the driving. When we arrived at Glasgow airport to pick up the car, the firm insisted my husband had to pay using a Mastercard. He did not have one with him as always uses his debit card so the company said we had reneged on the deal as we hadn’t read the small print and weren’t eligible for a refund. We had to hire a car from another company. Do not use this firm!
