For Green Motion Stansted. Unfortunately, I have to leave bad feedback. I'm traveling a lot all over the world and especially in the UK, I used to rent from Green motion (Bristol airport) for many years, but this time (in my 15 years experience) I was charged an unacceptable high price which left me and my family very disappointed with your rental agency - Green motios Stansted. My car rent price (mini car) was 93,26 £ and for the scrace on the tyre I paid 180 £ (picture added)! The scrace was more cosmetic, but not the damaging one. I'm so disappointed and it was my first and the last time I have rented from there. You may say that I haven't had insurance, but then you should not declare your rental center as a low price rental and on arrival you are putting people in such a distressing situation for asking to pay double (+insurance) for car rental price. Sorry, but this situacion left my family so disappointed.... AVOID Green Motion Stansted!

Dangerous for the safety of your family and even with the premium insurance they do not refund you. In August, one day after the start of our rental with premium insurance, we had a flat tire. We called the breakdown service at 17:05 but they arrived at 21h00. The mechanic service was not able to repair and we had to called a taxi to go back at the hotel. at 22h00. During the night, the car was hauled to the mechanic and we had to take a taxi to get there and paid the mechanic ourself to change the tire. I would like to stress they left us stranded during 5 hours with two kids of 7 years in the middle of nowhere. We called them several times and left several messages on the voice mail explaining that we were in a difficult position with 2 kids, no food and no water but they never answered or returned our calls while it was your legal responsibility to take care of us. 3 months later and despite several emails and calls, we still did not receive any refund from them nor any answer except automatic messages.

I'm utterly disappointed with my recent experience with Green Motion Car Rental during my trip to Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Let me provide you with the specifics: Booking Details: Reservation Reference: WOS-4070404-4049052 Original Pick-up Date: August 29, 2023 Revised Pick-up Date: August 30, 2023 Booking Duration: August 30, 2023, to September 1, 2023 On July 16, 2023, I proactively contacted Green Motion to adjust my pick-up date to August 30th due to an unexpected flight change by Wizz Air, over which I had no control. The Green Motion team acknowledged this change and confirmed the amendment. However, here's where things took a drastic turn for the worse. On August 30, 2023, despite the prior confirmation of the revised pick-up date, I found myself stranded at Abu Dhabi Airport, alongside my wife, for a significant duration. We were left waiting for a rental car that simply did not arrive. This situation was not just inconvenient; it was deeply distressing, especially considering it happened during our honeymoon. To make matters worse, we had no choice but to take a taxi from the airport to our destination, incurring a substantial expense of 500 AED. This added financial burden only amplified our frustration and disappointment. What baffles me is the apparent lack of communication within Green Motion, as the confirmed booking change did not seem to reach the Abu Dhabi team. We were left in the lurch, despite being reassured that our rental would be available. In addition to the inconvenience and the considerable financial impact, I'm dismayed by the lack of compensation or any concrete steps taken to address this situation. My trust in Green Motion, a brand I had relied on for car rentals, has been significantly eroded. This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I hope that this feedback serves as a wake-up call for the need to improve communication, customer service, and responsiveness. I urge Green Motion to thoroughly investigate this matter and provide a resolution that reflects the inconvenience and additional costs we faced due to this debacle.

Had a good laugh they sent me a customer satisfaction survey. Long story short, I was conned like everyone else. I rent cars frequently often and know the drill, so I would think reading the "important information" from the rental voucher provided by Booking.com is enough, and I don't need to read full T&Cs. Wrong. I booked the car on Booking and paid with Amex, then brought my license and a "credit card at my name" to the store near (well, not really) Liverpool Airport. As with many other people here, I was told they cannot accept neither my Amex nor my virtual Barclaycard under their T&Cs. They lied that Amex is not a credit card, but a charge card (which is true only for business, but irrelevant in any case). They were nevertheless happy to take my Amex or ApplePay when I switched to another tariff of £250. The salespeople have all answers prepared for your questions. So it is clearly not a situation of "sorry, there is missing information on the Rental Voucher, let's find a solution". It is a con. The booking was also not cancellable, so I was trapped and set to lose money in any case. If I had a physical Visa or Mastercard on me, nothing would have happened (though judging by other reviews, it seems GreenMotion would have found a way to charge me extra for insurance or damage). Booking.com also referred me to full T&Cs, as if it was not them to issue a misleading Rental Voucher in the first place. So no more using Booking as a broker for me either. The rental price was not so substantially lower for me to suspect an issue from the beginning, but from now on I will be more careful. Never book here and if you have, please, make sure to complain here, on Google and to the aggregator where you booked. Hopefully, this company will not be recommended.

Personally, I found myself out of pocket by over $1,200, despite having what was supposed to be comprehensive insurance coverage. Furthermore, it's disheartening to report that the company's staff have proven to be less than forthright, casting doubt on their credibility. To protect your interests, I urge you to meticulously examine the fine print within their contracts with the diligence of a detective. In the interest of a smoother and more transparent car rental experience, it may be wiser to consider reputable companies with a proven track record of integrity and customer satisfaction. Car breaks down. Wait for hours in the middle of nowhere (family with infants) for a replacement car. We receive an even older car with all kinds of malfunctions. No working airco (35+ degrees), exhaust fumes in the cabine. Not starting. Horror to drive. Called for a replacement car. No option other than to return this one and wait (without car) for two days for repairs. Horrible service..

NEVER use Greenmotion car rental company!!!!! Greenmotion is a pirate company stealing custumer’s money by cheating with car damage during contract period. Also worst customer “service”. Pick up in airport by shuttle bus took more than one hour in waiting time despite several calls. Inacceptable.

They gave us an abolutr dog of a car. Very old, with a strange musty smell and a clutch that made a horrible screeching sound. Had no guts, so we had to drop to second and get up to 4000 revs just to get up small hills. When we returned the car and complained, the rude staff member just shrugged and grunted. Snatched the keys off me and walked away. Do not rent from these sharks!

We booked a minivan at Manchester Airport with Green Motion car rental. It was much more expensive than we expected to pay for full insurance. We had a puncher in the front wheel a few days after using the car.Since then we have tried calling the emergency number over 30(!!!) times over 3 (!!!!) days to no avail. They only changed our car after 3 days during which time we asked for help countless times. All our plans were completely disrupted as well as our mood.It was a great mistake to rent a car with Green Motion.The worst experience we've ever had!!!Stay away!!!

I rented a car with Greenmotion now 6 months ago. Although there was no problem with the car, neither with the return, I still haven't received my 800 EURO deposit back. For months now I have been emailing with Greenmotion, every reply takes a couple of weeks. One time they asked for my Bank Account as they had "forgotten" to retransfer the deposit money. Since then, nothing happened. I am now involving a lawyer. I do not recommend you travelling with Greenmotion at all.

I've rented a Green Motion car at Smirne (Izmir) in Turkey August 2023. Reading some negative reviews I discovered that the place to return the car, was not at the International Sabiha airport as written in the voucher, but in a different place not easy to be reached without googlemap instolled in the mobil phone.... This is crazy!!! Thanking this negative feedback I called the Green Motion number and they sent me with Whatsapp the right location and from there bus took us to the airport. What would have happened if I hadn't read it? What if the time available to me was short and I missed the plane?

Green motion at Bristol airport treated us very badly and their approach to deposits and petrol payments and excess insurance is sly and dishonest …. Perhaps even extortionate. The petrol tank was only half full, the car was brand new…. Except it had a new front section….the tyre pressure was low. There was no discounted cost for the inconvenience of their position outside the airport complex and the only reason I chose them was because they were open later than other car hire companies. Big mistake. Never again.

We hired a car in Orlando. On collecting the car we were advised we should pay for the toll package of $12.99 a day. We asked why we can't pay for the toll as we get to them and we were advised we would be charged a admin fee of $29 per toll. We were also advised that there are tolls every five miles in Orlando especially around the Disney area. On this advice we paid the toll package for two weeks. In the two weeks we went through two tolls one leaving the airport and the other returning to the airport. There weren't tolls every five miles we were lied to to make is pay for the toll package. We have since complained to be told we paid for it so there is nothing they can do.

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! The pick up at the airport was facilitated by our call to let them know we had arrived despite booking the car through the airline. The driver who picked us was pleasant and helpful and proved to be only good part of the experience, The car was presented with a filthy inside windscreen, only half filled with fuel, The controls still in French language from previous client, which hid the fact that there was insufficient air pressure in the tires. Clients ahead of us had booked an EV but it was not ready and would not take a charge. they were not happy and delayed our reception. The facilities at both pick up and drop of were non existent, no toilets. On return to Heathrow the directions within the hotel car park were very small and misleading. Staff about the car park were even less help. Eventually we were attended by the one member of staff that was pleasant. However on completion of the hire with all checks Ok we asked to speak to the manager about the state of the car and more importantly having been informed there was no provided way to get to the airport (After booking the car through the airline). The manager apologized and I suggested that they drive us to the airport in a company car (15 minutes drive) just as happens in most off airport rentals we have used regularly in Europe. No dice! He offered to drive us to the hotel adjacent to use that hotel's shuttle bus, not indicating at all that we were not entitled to a free ride, nor that the bus suggested only went to terminal 5. We were dumped off and had to make our own way through the airport to Terminal 3 The whole process was a disaster and we will actively advise friends to avoid green motion at all costs.

They asked for a £1200 deposit on a credit card which I couldn't make as not enough credit so the asked for £50 and £200 deposits which I reluctantly paid only paid me back £50 as they said the £200 was a charge. Fraudulent liars the Speke Airport branch. I have taken action with my bank

It has been over 7 weeks since I returned the vehicle in perfect condition and I am yet to receive my $2500 deposit. We call, we email and either no return or the promise to look into it. How can they get away with stealing money?

This has been the worst rental experience in my life. I'm 51 years old and have travelled abroad many times. Renting a car is a necessity in some cases and most of my experiences have been pleasant, but Green Motion is the most money hungry company I've encountered. It reminds me of the song "...charge them for the lice extra for the mice, two percent for looking in the mirror twice" song from Les Miserables. The original car rental was $250 for a 3 day compact car rental. At check in we were charged an extra $150 for mandatory insurance at the lowest coverage which included a $1600 credit card "Holding" charge and covered almost nothing. Three days later we returned the car and were charged an additional $250 for a new tire due to "excessive scuffing" on the side of the tire. So the total charge was $650 for a compact car 3-day rental AND a $1600 holding charge which is yet to be reversed after 3 weeks. They also asked for excessive personal information when making the booking (are they selling it to advertisers?). This was the only rental option at the airport when we booked our flights. I assume everyone else was avoiding them like the plague as we will in the future. UPDATE: 12-AUG-2023 I took Green Motion advice and contacted their customer service division. After being on "hold" for over an hour, I finally was connected with a human. They informed me that these were standard charges and corporate policy. They said there is nothing they could do about it since I didn't have photos of the tire prior to renting the car showing the tires condition. Seriously, who does a photo shoot of their car prior to renting a car? AND to add insult to injury I receive the final bill for the tire replacement today which had ADDITIONAL fee for Damager Service Fee AND Loss of Use Fees....so the total tire replacement cost was..... New Tyre Replacement = $250 Damage Service Fee = $50 Loss of Use Fee = $100 I mean....do they really HATE their customers that much??? Never again....never again will I rent anything from Green Motion. I'd rather change airports.

The business model is actually a total con. Google them and read all the stories of how people were conned out of money, or sometimes even just had the held deposit stolen from their credit cards with false claims of damage to the vehicles. Ended up being told I had to pay an additional fee over over twice the original booking, while letting me know I would have to wait until morning to find another company and even then if any cars are available the short notice means it'll be just as expensive anyway. Felt totally manipulated and robbed. I also witnessed them con two other people while in their offices. One was a young family who probably would have had a harder time adjusting to their plans being ruined after landing at the airport, looked to be getting charged an additional fee of over £1000 pounds to have the rental they already paid for given to them. I wouldn't believe if it I hadn't witnessed it. Never ever use them.
