Stay away at all costs, booked car arrived with documentation only to be told needed to pay 700 pounds extra insurance! Took my money out of the bank for the booking still fighting 6 months on to try and get money back. Paid for a service I never received. Do not use this company!!!

Be carrefull those People are trying to still your money: you pay online with your card and when you come to collect the car the explain you that your card is not accepted and you should have read entirely the terms and condition. And of course refuse to refund you for the full price of the rent paid online in advance !

Do not use Green Motion. They are a rip off company. We thought we were getting a good deal through Priceline but when we got there they charged us a mandatory 40+ dollars a day for their insurance even thought I had American Family. They only deal with a few insurance companies and if you don't have them you pay. Also they van was old stained, the horn didn't work, and the passenger side door did not lock EVER. Not the best to have a car that doesn't lock in Miami. When we brought the car back the person spoke zero english so we could not tell them anything. Also try and find a local phone number for the company. Try to find any number that is not out of the country. Do not use this company.

The rental was more or less ok. However, they are charging me £168 for two traffic violations offenses. That is not to pay the fines, it's just to forward my details and I have to pay that separately. I am ok with paying for any violations I have done but I am very offended that they have charged me £168 for 2 minutes of their time to forward my details. This charge used to be £10 until recently.

WARNING: THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS! They gave me a good rate so I thought “how bad can it get?” I’m an experienced renter and always carefully check the car and take detailed photos and video first thing so I am not blamed for anything I didn’t cause. THESE PEOPLE CANCELED MY RESERVATION WITHOUT REFUND 1 hour and 38 minutes after my pickup time. Lateness was due to late baggage and covid registration at the airport. When making a car reservation on the website they have an “Optional” flight number line “in case flight is late” but that obviously wouldn’t change anything. I called them (all 3 numbers) and no one picked up the phone. THEY ARE IN A SEPARATE BUILDING FROM ALL OTHER RENTAL AGENCIES (so it proves it’s not a normal rental agency) and if it didn’t take me over half an hour in -10 degrees to find them I would have made it before it got canceled. THEIR ADDRESS ON GOOGLE MAPS IS WRONG and instructions are confusing which is obviously done so people are late and their reservations are canceled (with no refund). IN -10C IT HAS TO BE CRIMINAL THE WHOLE BUILDING WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY and I had to wait for over an hour after I found it for someone to show up because I realized the person must have left for lunch. He was obviously an asshole to me when he did show up. I disputed the charge with my credit card, let’s see what happens.

The worst rental experience i have ever had. Not sure why they had apparently 4.5 out of 5 review when I booked via Ryan air site ? They charged me for a scratch which was non existant! I was in a hurry to catch flight and the guy knew that. I missed the bus to the terminal with all the disruption! Charged me 15 pounds for a ride to the terminal ! Never providing a receipt for the service!and now trying to charge me 84 pounds for a PCN notice which was mistakenly charged! Using bulling and hounding techniques and threatening ! Whatever happened to honest living and customer service? Never again!

Please be very careful. They will steal you 84 pounds in case you got a ticket. They don't tell you in person when you get the car and it is not even written in their online voucher or in the contact that you sign. It is only written: ... Fines, Penalties and Administration Charges It is the responsibility of each hirer to cover the cost of any parking fines and traffic violations including but not limited to unpaid tolls and Congestion Charges. When fines or traffic violations occur and a Green Motion location is involved in administering the violation, a management fee will be charged. This is a non-waiverable fee. Really awful, crafty cheaters because they omit such an important point. Other big companies charge you only 35 pounds for administrative fee in case you get a ticket.

I just been robbed by this company, i paid almost 500 pounds to rent a car one week, i had bring the car on time with no damage, but still they found a way to rob 400 pounds (sort of deposit). I paid to rent of a seat leon 135 pounds / week + insurance, they had ask me for a sort of deposit becouse I didn’t had a credit card, but they didn’t told me they won’t give me back that 400 pounds, i’v just got am email that amount it’s not a deposit. Just wondering who else will pay 500 pounds/week to rent a car? ...official answer, be aware Good Morning, Thank you for your email. Please be aware, your deposit was £50 as you have purchased an excess wavier. Due to you arriving without a valid credit card, you have neglected to comply with our Terms and Conditions, the rental station had the right to refuse the release of the vehicle, with no refund. However, the rental station has offered you an excess waiver that will reduce or remove your excess on your rental, which allows you to continue with the reservation. In this case, I believe Green Motion Manchester has acted in lines with our Terms and Conditions, therefore, in this case, no refund will be offered. I have attached your payment slips for your reference. Please do let us know if you are still waiting for the £50 deposit. Thank you. If you have any further questions I am at your disposal,

Please be careful, If you ever get fined while using their car they will charge you an extra £84 in addition to your actual fine. They wouldn't tell you before you use the car and it is not mentioned in the voucher or even on their website. This is proper theft, and the fact that such an important policy is nowhere to be read proves their dishonesty. Any other rental company would charge from £10 to £15 maximum

Dreadful company, no such thing as customer care, most unsympathetic, I will never use nor recommend this company. Because my train was over 4 hours late the booking was not honoured and I am still awaiting a refund of my deposit paid via Expedia !

I hired a car from the Edinburgh city location in early November 2020 to return Jan 1st 2021. Because of the uncertain nature of travel due to the pandemic, I asked at the time of booking if it would be possible to extend the rental should circumstances change. I was assured this would be fine. When new travel restrictions were introduced, I phoned the office to extend the rental. I was told the company does not extend rentals beyond 56 days and the car "has to be sent back" to the company from which Greenmotion had hired it. I was not told in person about the 56-day rental cap, and it is not specified in the contract. In addition, returning the vehicle means crossing local authority boundaries into an area that has significantly higher cases of covid, then returning to an area where the infection is low. The Scottish Government has forbidden travel across local authority boundaries for anything but essential travel. Upon contacting Customer Services, I was told they could arrange someone to come to where I am staying and swap the vehicles – but at my expense. When I raised the assurance given to me at point-of-rental concerning extending the rental, they said they couldn’t comment open something that “may or may not have been said”. Given these experiences, I would not recommend Greenmotion to people wanting long term or flexible rentals, or wanting to take cars beyond the metropolitan zone in which the hiring office is located. Let the buyer beware – because for Greenmotion the buyer is not always right.

quoted 180 for 1 week hire . I don't have a credit card so had to pay 300 extra for insurance . then charged 97 pound to valet the car on return . I even hoovered the car before I returned it . I feel totally conned and if I hadn't been so focused on catching my flight I would have argued and probably ended up knocking the prats teeth out .. . I should have listened to the people who were sorting out their car hire when I arrived to pick up mine . stay away from Manchester airport depot..

Green Motion strikes again! When you collect the vehicle, get a very, very large magnifying glass on the job and spend at least 2 hours covering it for the tiniest marks - if you don't, they WILL be flagged up on return even if they already existed if you reject their 'additional insurance' (which will triple the cost of the hire at least). Prepare for another shock when they send the invoice - scandalous costs for marks which, if they bother to do any repairs at all, could have been buffed out. A criminal enterprise that needs investigating.

This company is a big fraud. They offer you their own insurance and then say “keep your own too, there are always some kind of damages. You can get your money back.” What?! I rent cars all over the world and only in UK I got so frauded. And yes, they somehow found a scratch conveniently by cleaning the car in exact spot with some rug. I am disgusted. The worst part of my trip to UK.

The worst service ever experienced in all my life. The Green Motion car and rental is a rip off. They won't support any service requests as well as their terms and conditions are disgraceful. I have been also experiencing a PCN of which they charge me more to transfer the fine than the fine itself. Their timing to pass over the PCN was delayed as well as miss-led from understanding they were charging to pass me the PCN rather then to having to pay it. Results is a Court Fee to pay on top. Simply redicoulus. They would do all in their possess to rip you off without any help on resolving the issues. WORST COSTUMER service by all means ! DO NOT USE THEM if you care about your wallet and service.

I have not got a car. The car rental provider could not supply me a car according to my request. The car rental representative was not available at the airport the same as the car itself. When I called the car rental nobody was aware of my booking. The car rental representative confirmed both bookings were cancelled. However the charge for the reservation G34384626 still remains in my bank account. I’m so disappointed with such a service. I was left on the street alone with two luggage without the car Sunday night. I could not reach my hotel. Please also consider the fact that I’m pregnant and it was a very stressful situation for me. The car rental representative was very rude. She literally yelled at me! I’m still shocked how that company treated me. I would like people to know and prevent them from being treated like this. Very disappointed customer.

Green motion have provided a very poor service, they clearly show you all the damage to the car they already want you to see. When taking the car bad they always conveniently find a "new" scratch or dent to bill you for, this has happened to not only me but also other I know who have rented from there. I was charged £263 for a small scratch and then had a further email to them to charge me £84 for an admin fee as I had received a parking notice during my hire, when explaining to them the parking fine was in error they still tried to charge me £84 for their "admin" fee (all of sending over two emails). And refused to help me further although I had logged a formal compliant. I gave the car back early without refund, with more petrol than given to me and they still treat their clients in such a bad way. I would not recommend using this company, their rates may seem low compared to others but they make up for that in additional charges.
