The worst service ever experienced in all my life. The Green Motion car and rental is a rip off. They won't support any service requests as well as their terms and conditions are disgraceful. I have been also experiencing a PCN of which they charge me more to transfer the fine than the fine itself. Their timing to pass over the PCN was delayed as well as miss-led from understanding they were charging to pass me the PCN rather then to having to pay it. Results is a Court Fee to pay on top. Simply redicoulus. They would do all in their possess to rip you off without any help on resolving the issues. WORST COSTUMER service by all means ! DO NOT USE THEM if you care about your wallet and service.

I have not got a car. The car rental provider could not supply me a car according to my request. The car rental representative was not available at the airport the same as the car itself. When I called the car rental nobody was aware of my booking. The car rental representative confirmed both bookings were cancelled. However the charge for the reservation G34384626 still remains in my bank account. I’m so disappointed with such a service. I was left on the street alone with two luggage without the car Sunday night. I could not reach my hotel. Please also consider the fact that I’m pregnant and it was a very stressful situation for me. The car rental representative was very rude. She literally yelled at me! I’m still shocked how that company treated me. I would like people to know and prevent them from being treated like this. Very disappointed customer.

Green motion have provided a very poor service, they clearly show you all the damage to the car they already want you to see. When taking the car bad they always conveniently find a "new" scratch or dent to bill you for, this has happened to not only me but also other I know who have rented from there. I was charged £263 for a small scratch and then had a further email to them to charge me £84 for an admin fee as I had received a parking notice during my hire, when explaining to them the parking fine was in error they still tried to charge me £84 for their "admin" fee (all of sending over two emails). And refused to help me further although I had logged a formal compliant. I gave the car back early without refund, with more petrol than given to me and they still treat their clients in such a bad way. I would not recommend using this company, their rates may seem low compared to others but they make up for that in additional charges.

Horrible experience with Green Motion Car & Van Rental Birmingham New Street. Guys before taking any car from this company take proper pictures and make a proper video from Inside and out, before signing any document. This car company had made a false claim on me on a scratch on the car and claimed that their is dent in the front side of the car, which was already their before handing the car to me. I proved them wrong as i had the video, before taking the car from them. While dropping the car back, don't let them take the car for a wash, or stand next to them while washing the car for inspection. The guy who washes the car might be putting a scratch and a dent on the car. They have opened a claim on me for a scratch and i be would fighting with them as i have video and would be asking the video where they wash the car inside the building. Guys stay away from this company, the feedback that you see on google are mostly fake as they try to push you to put a good feedback on google while collecting the car from them at the reception desk. ill be making sure that i would be making formal complaints along with videos about this company as their staff is doing dodgy work and i have made plenty of videos and will prove them wrong. Also one more thing I’ll make sure that none of my friends , family, neighbour , colleagues would rent a car or do any kind of transaction from green motion. Horrific customer service and worst company to deal with.

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY! Do not offer any help! They wouldn't refund me £161 for a car that I did not take. I pleaded with them for help as I did not have a credit card but had a family member that would pay. They did not care. Emailed to say no refund it was my problem. Honestly in shock!

This should really be a negative star experience as vendor like them should hv their license revoke. Sharing my experience here so that you do not hv to go thru what I had to go thru - a real pain in this time where it is financially hard on most people. We rented a van at the end of August from Green Motion car and van rental at their Heathrow branch. We returned it in good order. There was one area of minor ‘damage’ (a smudge) which could’ve been polished out. We signed off on the return form stating the same. We recently learned from our bank that Green Motion has charged us the full deposit of £2505 for some alleged damage to the roof, which was neither pointed out nor discussed at the time of van return (30Aug2020). We’ve sent several emails and made an in-person visit to the outlet. The manager, Mark (supervisor), gave us every assurance that he would respond to our emails and that we could get through to him directly via phone to follow up. It has been 1.5 weeks since our in person visit and he’s not responded and we can’t get a live person on the phone. We refute categorically Green Motion’s bogus charge for this alleged damage. This dispute is now impacting our credit and causing trouble with our bank. We also subsequently found out via Rentalcar.com that Green motion has put in a insurance claim on our behalf for the allege damage. One would think they will send me notification of the damage and provide supporting documents for their claim but we hv received nothing thus far. I suspect that is how they try to make their money against their unsuspecting clients and make money thru fraudulent insurance claims and hoping that their customer will not pursue if they get their money thru their insurance company. Pls make sure you keep all receipts and take lots of photos upon return and keep the copy of your receipt upon car return. I received an email copy of receipt claiming that car was returned without incident and promise from one of the South Indian decent employee (male) that if they are putting up a claim, they will call me which they did not. I only found out about them claiming the entire £2505 deposit from my bank.

Worst company ever. Do not sign anything unless you see a receipt in our case they would not give us, a receipt and It would be emailed. Was never emailed and then extra charges. Our car rental should’ve been $105 it worked out to be $320 later. They are crooks, if you are Canadian you won’t be able to sue them in court because it wouldn’t be worth it. They wouldn’t even let us use our credit card for rental insurance we had to buy theirs. This was in the United States 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Stay Away. It's a rip off. A car rental in Athens that was supposed to cost €209, became a super expensive rental of around €555 and a terrible customer experience. 1. Paid extra €80 on a forced upgrade we didn't want. Our flight was 4 hours late. Although we paid the rental in full in advance, when we arrived they said our reservation was cancelled and we must pay for the upgrade. 2. Received a 15 years old car with a cassette player, without 4WD and no USB. The car was damaged from around. 3. Bringing the car from Green Motion far away office is an extra hour to take into consideration while all other car rental companies are at the Athens airport. They forced my family to wait at the airport so I had to drive back to the airport and look for them. 4. Extra €105 for charging the deposit instead of holding the deposit on the card - In the "credit card and deposit information" on the voucher we got it is said: "A deposit amount of EUR 1488.0 will be held against your credit card for the duration of the rental". The deposit was not held on our credit card. Green Motion charged our credit card with €1488 deposit. When we returned the car, they paid back the deposit. As our credit card is foreign, we had to pay extra €105 for foreign currency exchange fees. I rented cars hundred of times. This is the first time a car rental company actually charged my card and in this case it is a breach of their own agreement. Note that if your credit card is not from the Euro countries, you'll also pay such fee. 5. Paid €160 of extra fuel consumption - The old car we got had a crazy fuel consumption of 20 litters to 100 km, much higher than the Toyota Rav4 we were supposed to have. During our trip we drove around 1500 km and the extra fuel cost above what we would have paid if we got the Toyota was around €160. 6. Total rip off: €345 above the original €209 this rental was supposed to cost + hours of driving back and forth to the airport + the low leveled service we received and the feeling we were deceived. We learned our lesson. Better to rent a car from the more mainstream companies that have desks at the airport.

ZERO - but 1 will have to do! Manchester airport -greenmotion My goodness what a rookie error on my part not reading the reviews. One upon a time i Hired a car I didn’t get the car ...the end! ONCE you have paid you are then notified of the things you need to bring when you pick up the car. Passport Drivers licence Credit card Wel we don’t have a credit card..... I called them and spoke to a lovely lady patient and helpful. Called again as communication between green motion and rental.com was next to nothing! He said I needed a bill or bank statement with address on it. Again this was not explained before I paid! All my bills are on line etc I showed him an older bill with my address which he later claimed had to be no more than 3 months old , and that it wasn’t good enough. He kept complaining saying things under his breath that because of us showing up at 7:45 (although the agreed time was actually 7:50, so we actually showed up earlier for him as he already rudely made this point on the phone) he said he is going to be late clocking off (even though his shift didn’t finish until 8:00) He was rude, and very unprofessional. We ended up leaving without the car as the passport and driving licence and debit card were apparently Not enough. Therefore we missed out on the event, I had booked paid for a car we never got and paid for 2 taxi trips to the rental and back home. I will never IN A MILLION YEARS hire from this company again. A very strange little man with a massive chip on his shoulder. AVOID AVOID AVOID Save your sanity and you hard earned money!

I'd give zero if there was. I had hired a vehicle from Green Motion. On the 4th of October 2017 I was involved in a road traffic accident which was not my fault where I was hit from the side by a vehicle travelling from the side road as I was on the main road. They wanted me £995 for excess fee and I paid. I was told that will be refunded if it wasn't my fault. They didn't give me any update for three years. After more than two years' they said the company I rented was their franchisee and they are not working for them anymore. So, they didn't accept the responsibility and make refund

You deserve 1 star as far as I am concerned. I pre booked the car thinking it would make things easier. Boy was I wrong. Not only could I barely hear the person behind the window who mumbled quietly while a customer at the other window was clearly talking too loud to allow me to hear the operative, I was unaware (not having been given any prior warning at the time of booking or in subsequent emails confirming the booking) that I would have to provide a sizeable deposit to complete the booking. As I did not know the PIN number for my credit card, it not being something I use on a regular basis, I had to pay an additional £32 to hire the car- this mean that I had paid £100 to hire a car for FOUR HOURS (also because of the complications I drove away 50 minutes late as well as dropping the car off over a hour early so less than three hours total.) I was then handed the keys to a vehicle with AN EMPTY FUEL TANK. I was already going to be late for the appointment i had booked the vehicle for and now I had to stop urgently at a petrol station as the vehicle had only 16 miles left on the gauge. Totally unacceptable. I was told to tick the boxes and sign a form saying I had been given the opportunity to check the vehicle before driving it away to ensure any damage, scrapes or problems were recorded before I agreed to take it. I did not get that chance. The operative drove the car into the middle of the thoroughfare of the parking complex we were in. A car pulled up behind it almost immediately, meaning I had to get in and get going the moment I was handed the keys. Within seconds the gentleman (I’m using a kind word for a person who sincerely does not deserve it here) got out of his car, marched up to the driver side window of the hire car, banged on the window and began yelling at me for the way being blocked- i hadn’t even found the start engine button at thus point. The whole experience was revolting. By the time I drove away in the hire car I was 50 minutes past the pick up time and in floods of years. When I returned the car an EXTREMELY thorough check was done before I was allowed to leave- a check which I would have had no grounds to question had any issues arisen given that I was not allowed the opportunity to check the vehicle myself before accepting it. I will not be using this service again or recommending it to anyone. Disgusting.

I got a parking fine while I was hiring from Stansted Green Motion.  What did they do?  1) they took 84 pounds from my credit card for administration fee without letting me know, I found out by checking the card statements;  2) it took one month of phone calls and emails in order to obtain from them the PCN to run my checks;  3) they charged VAT costs and it took several emails to obtain the VAT invoice from them.  Avoid, avoid, avoid that Stansted branch!!!!!

I booked for a car on Green Motion website and was charged the cost at the time of my booking. When I arrived at Bodrum airport in Turkey, I was unable to take the car because I didn’t have a credit card, only a debit one. I called the customer service number to ask for a refund, unfortunately they don’t speak English and are only able to say: “I will call you later”. I haven’t been contacted yet. I rented a car from the car rental agency next to it CarPlus, which accepted my debit card. However, this cost me more money. My overall experience with Green Motion is very negative and frustrating. In the future, I will not rent with Green Motion.

They did not wait for me at the airport to take me to the car. When I called they said it can be 30 minutes or more and when I asked if it can be faster they hung up on me. Stay away from this company

When we arrived at Corfu Airport, we expected "greenmotion" to be one of the many car rental-desks at the arrival hall - as was described in the confirmation email and on the web page. It was not. As it turned out, we had to be picked up by a shuttle bus that, after waiting 45 minutes, took us to their small one-room office outside the airport area. The car came with a sheet on which the numerous existing dents and scratches were marked - so far so good. When we asked the lady to go over the damages with us really quickly, she responded that it wouldn't be necessary, that she had marked it all on the sheet and emphasized that we didn't need to worry, as if it was almost impossible for us to be charged for anything. Even when we pointed out some of the more obvious damages, she stuck to it: it was fine, she'd been doing this for many years and it was all covered. Then she went inside, left us with the car standing in the driveway, the engine running. So we drove to the hotel, came back four days later with barely over 150 km on the mileage, never had any issue or incident with the car, only parked in wide spots on almost empty parking lots - there was not much going on at the end of vacation season and due to COVID. We had only just pulled into the car rental's parking spot when the lady came straight up to our car and, without hesitation, pointed to a 5 cm long scratch on the back of the left side of the car and plainly said "that's new". Didn't look at the rest of the car, didn't even bother to walk around it, just stood there blaming us for - and that's the sad, sad irony - the very same scratch that we asked her about right there, on the very same spot, just four days ago, when the very same lady looked us right into the eye and said it was marked in the sketch. So of course, we took out the copy of her sketch and showed her the corresponding mark. Turns out, these two-dimensional sketches of four-dimensional vehicles are open to interpretation. She said it was a different damage on the back of the car, not on the side, and as the party who didn't put down the marks, there was no way to be in the right. They took us into their office, filled out a lot of paperwork, wouldn't talk to us at all except for little remarks on how it was "our responsibility" and how they couldn't do anything. She even explained that she could "feel" with her fingers that the scratch was new, a skill that, apparently, she had learned in her "many years of doing this" - which she re-emphasized many times. They typed a lot, then they started writing up numbers, it felt like a nightmare coming true. The numbers eventually added up to a rather large sum, which we prayed wouldn't be the invoice amount. Well... it was. Just a bit over 400€ for - again - a little scratch on the back of a quite generally scratched up car, including a charge for the days it couldn't be used due to the repair - which begged the question why they wouldn't have been taking care of all the other damages. And since they took long enough with the paperwork, knowing full well that we had a plane to catch, there was nothing left but to sign an absurd invoice, just to get out of there and to the airport. We were shaking with anger. So, to cut a long story short, we were held accountable for a damage we asked about before even getting into the car, we were charged with what amounts to half our month's rent and we felt so frustratingly helpless that our only option was to write an honest review about our experience. It also seems they took advantage of our - and I quote - "very very young age" and the fact that we would have to be on time for our flight and couldn't stay long enough to defend ourselves. We wouldn't go anywhere near this company ever again, let alone rent a car there.

RIP OFF ALERT WITH EASY JET! They told me when picking the car up that I couldn't use any of my French "cartes de credit" or Spanish "tarjeta de credito" but then suddenly it was OK "if I paid a bit "extra". Here's the crunch: they then proceeded with a completely new booking, so I lost the money I had paid to EasyJet, ie I ended up paying twice. No choice of car either (automatic only) at Bristol Airport, I ended up having to drive a huge van which was useless to me at my final destination due to parking height restrictions. Been trying for months to get any sort of refund, but they just quote the small print.. "our website makes it quite clear...." "you signed and swiped your card" etc. Good businesses make gestures to unhappy customers. AVOID!
