What a horrible experience I will never ever recommend Groupon to anyone to deal with As a business owner, I was helping a lady who was renting a room in my salon & spa as a self-employed esthetician. I was the person who signed the agreements with Groupon for this lady (her name is Kim), when Kim showed unprofessional behavior in my business such as using cheap products on clients, no job-quality, disrespecting her clients appointments, not following the safety standards & regulations, trying to drag my clients to her home and many more reasons, and after 5 warnings I fired her out of my business. I contacted the account's manager Abby at Groupon to remove my business address as she is STILL using my business address which causes my many problems with clients coming and calling my business; but the account manager Abby was delaying removing my address from the live deals until she gets Kim a special approval for in-home services as Groupon's policy doesn't allow Kim to launch any deal to be served at her home. I called groupon trying to get hold of Abby's manager to help me out in this, I've spoken with 2 guys and after they talked with Abby about my call; the last guy told me "you have to talk to Abby and if she decided to give you her manager's contact info that would be up to her!!" I've been receiving too many complains about Kim as she is refusing to honor the vouchers were purchased by those clients; which is causing my business a bad reputation!! Abby doesn't care, nor Kim does. I'm going to file a lawsuit against Groupon for using my company's address without my permission; and for not responding to my request to stop the deals as I'm the agreement signer.

Daughter bought a 7 day trip to Dominican Republic because it said almost sold out. When we looked at the flights,they were in the middle of the night. So, she tried to cancel. She is being charged a fee and cannot recover her 1800.00 for 10 days. Now,she cannot book another trip with better flight times.It is too dNgerous to drive that late at night. Bad advertising. Bad response by foreigners who cannot speak proper English. Bad return policy. Bad company.

Wish I'd noticed the surcharges in the small print. It's more than doubled the cost of the deal. Have to say I'm feeling a bit ripped off. My only choice was to pay up or lose the voucher.

I bought a Groupon "local deal" for a store that's a national chain. By the time I tried to use it, I found it was only usable in 2 locations, 3,000 miles away from me. It's true the page I bought it from listed those two locations, showing them on a map, but I presumed the map was showing just that area for some reason, and any store in the chain would accept the Groupon. The Groupon page even included a link to the chain's website, which had a "find local store" option which listed stores near me. I wasted at least an hour of my time figuring out my coupon was useless after going to two local chains who didn't know anything about the Groupon, so didn't honor it. When I emailed Groupon about this, we went back and forth many times -- their first 3 or 4 replies did not refer to any specific details in my email at all, but just gave generic "we can't issue refunds" language. When someone did finally answer my specific question, they didn't acknowledge the misleading nature of the sales page, and didn't offer any explanation as to why I should have been shown a "local services" deal that was not usable in my area. They refuse to budge, I wasted my time and had to pay more for the services I needed because of that wasted time, and I still have a Groupon I cannot use. Be VERY CAREFUL when dealing with this company, they seem to have little regard for their customers. When even a small effort to make things right would have been appreciated, I got NOTHING.

I PLACED AN ORDER WITH THEM ON 2-1-2017, THE DAY I BOUGHT MY GROUPON. AS OF THIS DATE MARCH 22, 2017, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER AND WHEN I EMAIL THE COMPANY THEY WILL NOT RESPOND!!!!!!!!! NO PRODUCT AND NO REASON AS TO WHY AND NO RETURN OF MY MONEY!!!! NOTHING BUT BAD NEWS HERE!!!!!!! IF YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't buy anything from these people if you haven't got a printer. If you need to send any item back the only way you can is to print off a returns slip. If you haven't got a printer your fucked

made an appointment for 2 o'clock they called me the day before to confirm which i did, i show up at 1:50 the receptionist told me that they'r just finishing up with a client and would be with me shortly at 2:35 still nothing i got up and started walking away and the receptionist goes 'would u like to book another day' really i don't think so! to everyone reading this take a few more minutes researching and spend your money somewhere else where they don't have the habit of overbooking!

Absolutely the worst service!!! They lie about an offer (still available) on the El Paso Times. i have been waiting 2 month to redeem to NO avail. The offer is still being sold but does NOT come up on the options with my redemption code. I have been calling and get same response, that they will call me in TWO DAYS! Its been two months. SORRY SERVICE

Wouldn't give Groupon even 1 star if I could. Ordered an item on the 6th December, hadn't received the item within the delivery dates, phoned for an update on my order and was assured it would be delivered by the 21st December. 22nd December came and still no package from Groupon, Phoned a second time and was informed my item is no longer 'available' and therefore they will issue me a refund! With only 2 more days to find an alternative Christmas present I had no other option but to get a last minute present from elsewhere. I asked to speak to the manager but was informed he was 'unavailable', I then asked if the management team could call me back, but apparently that is also not possible. Felt like I was being brushed off. Very unhappy customer, will definitely not shop with Groupon again.

My friend recommended this website to me so I thought I'd check it out and give it a go. I purchased a makeup brush set that was insanely on sale and was really happy about it, at first. The purchase automatically came out of my account, $5 more expensive might I add, and the directions told me to click on a link to another website, enter my information and a redemption code and it would be shipped. When I entered my address it said that it could not be shipped to my location. After several times emailing them, I finally stated that I would just like a refund, as I already purchased the makeup brush set off of Amazon (WHO TREATS CUSTOMERS GOOD - by the way). They responded saying they could not refund me, but only give me groupon bucks (whoopdie fucking doo) and would not even give me the correct amount that came out of my account. This website is the biggest rip off I've ever heard of, and please do your research before purchasing anything off this website. They are a joke and need to be shut down. They are screwing over so many people and literally will do nothing to keep you as a customer. Awful place of business and would never recommend purchasing anything off here.

I recently ordered a Groupon Product for the first time having purchased several local coupons in the past. Upon receipt of the package, I found that the item was not in the box it was shipped in. There was no tampering with the packaging, it looked like a simple mis-shipment. Not worrying, I sent and email and requested that the item be reshipped, so that I could receive what I ordered and paid for. The return email informed me that my claim would be escalated and that I would receive a response within 72 hours. I did not. I then utilized Groupon's Chat Support and was told by their Customer Service Team that they could not provide me a reship utilizing chat. I asked for more information, and was told that the customer service team could not help me from that contact medium. I then called and spoke to an agent that assured me that he would escalate my concern and that again, I would receive and email detailing any solutions they could present within the next 72 hours. Incredibly, I received a promotional email 5 minutes after my phone call that called out the item that I had purchased as a great buy. Again, I was not concerned, because if Groupon was advertising the item in question, they must have it in stock, and a reshipment should not be an issue. The next day I received an email stating they could not authorize a reshipment due to "limited product availability". I called attention to the email that stated that this was a "key product" of their most recent promotion and that all I wanted was that product. The return email stated they could not help me and that they would be refunding my order and removing it from my account. Additionally, the refund would not be processed immediately, but could take up to 10 Days to process. This time frame would not allow me to re-order the product before the promotion was finished. I did not ask for a refund, and I wanted to keep the order active for my records. I am absolutely astounded that at every turn, I was met with can'ts, cannots, won'ts and will not's but such a massive company. The only thing I was concerned with was receiving a product that I had paid for. Not only was the item in stock, but it was a part of multiple promotions that were taking place during my customer service issue. This leads me to believe that Groupon does not care about their customers, only their potential customers and does not stand behind their promotions, customer service team or products. I am at a complete loss and unless someone is able to contact me and rectify the issue, they have lost a good, profitable and active customer for life.

I bought a Hair Cut Groupon. Made the appointment and showed up. They said the appointment was for the day before, which it was not and I know this for a fact, and would not honor the coupon and were VERY nasty to me. They redeemed the coupon without cutting my hair. I called Groupon and they would not refund my money or do ANYTHING. Groupon is for sleezy disgusting places that can't get clients any other way. IT'S A SCAM and I will NEVER buy another Groupon again!

I have been a Groupon user for quite a while. So, I had developed a trust on their product and service offerings. However, I have learned my lesson and will no longer will be a Groupon user. I would advise others to follow suit, until you have a sour experience like me. Don't rely on them. Recently, Groupon offered a Tree Removal Service, CAMS TREE SERVICE, offering 50% off for tree removal. They charged me $250 upfront for the service. I contacted the removal company. They came, took a look at the job and we negotiated to get the job done for $1200. They asked for a 1/3 advance deposit, i.e. $400. I wrote them a check in that amount. Four separate appointments were scheduled to get this job done but every time it was a n show. They didn't even bother to call me and say that they wouldn't make it. Every time, I called, I was told that they are sorry and rescheduled. Finally, when they did not show up, nor called the fourth time, I called. But this time, until now my calls are either not answered, nor returned. This morning, When I called, I found out that they have blocked my number. When I called from a different number, there was an answer but when they heard my voice, they hung up on me. It looks like they have run away with the $400 advance payment. So I notified Groupon. They initially responded by giving me the $250 they charged my credit card with $250 Groupon bucks, LOL! When I insisted that my credit card be credited instead of Groupon bucks, they obliged. What did they think? That after this, I would do business with them again? I checked the Groupon site this morning. That Groupon offer is still there!!!! so that more innocent and trusting people could get ripped off? I am amazed that Groupon wringed their hands off just by giving me the $250 back (if they had refused, i would have disputed it by calling my credit card company) and telling me to contact my financial institution for the rest. Hey, I paid by check and the money is gone! What makes me mad that they referred me to this fraudulent business, does not care investigating it nor taking the offer off before more get hit by these fraudsters. Talk about Groupon's social responsibility, talk about respect for their customer. If you read this, please be careful before you deal with Groupon. You will lose your hard earned money; they wouldn't care. I URGE THAT WE BOYCOTT GROUPON. A business that condones fraud is no different from a FRAUD! Shame on you, Groupon!

I have used Groupon only once in my life and that will be the last time. I used their services about 2 and 1/2 years ago when my Wife and I got married. Even though we are doing better financially now at the time we were really struggling as my wife moved to C. A. based on a job offer that was willing to pay for her real estate license that turned out to be totally B.S. and I was already living here. I was also in the middle of selling my consulting business and was supposed to be absorbed into the, much larger, purchaser. Well they just turned out to be thiefs and managed to use my contacts to push me and my 3 guys out of both the Airport and Gas station industry. We went from collectively making well over 200k a year and expecting 100k of liquid assets to making 15 to 17 an hour. We had both given up so much but were still happier than we had ever been. Well I saw a deal for one of those fancy salons for a cut, and color and shampoo for only ~30 dollars on a specific day. I tried to keep it a secret but ended up letting it slip(as always). She was so excited to have just a bit of normalcy in her life that she cried with joy the morning of. SO... We get there and the salon let's us know that Groupon put the wrong date and the deal was over. We ended up paying for it and I just went without cigarettes, lunch or my morning gas station coffee for a long while, it was completely worth it. I wasn't even really upset at this point, what was beyond engaging though is that it took Groupon over two weeks to refund the money to us, and after paying for that haircut we needed it, we were hurting. I explained this to Groupon and their response was to Lie by saying it should be back in a few days and on future calls they would blame it on our bank, which is pretty much a direct translation of corporate lemming speak for "f you, they don't pay me enough to care". I wasn't going to post a review until I saw how common this was

I was charged twice for a purchase. When I called back to address the situation the customer service representative told me I would get my money back in 7-10 business days. Its be 3 wks and I have yet to see the refund in my account. So I called back and the person I spoke said they couldn't help me because the computer showed they had already issued the refund. Its been It's been 22 days since they supposedly refunded my money, but I am yet to see the transaction appear in my account. Groupon basically rifled $122.38 from me. This is the last tine I ever purchase anything from Groupon.

Suspended my account for no good reason, locked me out of my purchased Groupons until they expired! After contacting the press they finally reinstated my account but have not compensated me for my losses. Disgusting Company.
