The general service at the store was friendly. However I was incorrectly advised about brake pads. I asked the salesman to confirm if the pads were correct for my car, I have him the Reg Number and he advised that they were correct for my car. However after giving the parts to my mechanic I was advised that the pads did not sit properly when fitted. The lads had to be manually altered so that they would sit flush.

When the order arrived it was incorrect. When contacting you by phone the person I spoke to was somewhat disinterested and not that helpful. When the replacements arrived it was significantly over packed. E.g. 4 spark plugs in a box that would have fitted 100

Ordering via website was good. However on collection the guy at the counter tried to pull a fast one and gave me a different item without telling me.

I ordered a car battery online and duly arrived to pick it up from the Farnham store. It took a while to locate the battery and then, when the sales assistant finally found it, it wasn't the one I ordered! Further searching by the sales assistant eventually located the correct battery. I would suggest that their online ordering system is reviewed.

I ordered a oil Dip Stick i put in the vehicle Details and GFS Web site brought the item up i Required i went ahead and ordered the part only to find out when it arrived that they had sent me the Wrong part for my vehicle after stating it was the correct 1 in future better off buying parts from Direct Main Dealers was not happy with Turn out at All. Don,t be Fooled via compatible web site on GSF. No point sending back as would of cost more in postage than what item cost. if only it was the Right Part.

Quality of parts not very good. Plug leads ordered did not fit, second set also didn’t fit. Glynn at the Nottingham branch rescued the day and sourced me a set that were made correctly. Probably best to deal directly with branch

I was stood in GSF making an online order to then immediately collect it, thus getting a better price than if I’d just bought it off the chap at the counter. I now think a little less of GSF for this. Just a cynical ploy to gather contact details, unnecessarily.

Part was ordered online using registration number of vehicle to correctly identify make and model of car but on collection the part was not correct for the car. Fortunately the counter staff were able to identify the correct part and supplied this. The GSF online ordering process is not fit for purpose.

Requested replacement rear wiper motor for Mini and was sent a motor that had different connections to wiper blade and electrical supply and thus was incompatible. GSF are still advertising the part online and the image is still of the incompatible part! GSF have not offered me an alternative suitable replacement or any explanation why incompatible part sent. On the plus side, GSF arranged for collection of part and I received a full refund. They clearly need to look into this issue to avoid further disappointed customers.

I have always found the parts at GSF to be of the best quality and when deals are on ,good value. My disappointment this time was when collecting pre ordered parts for a VW T5 van, on arriving home around 25 miles away I got a phone call saying that some of my small items were still on a shelf and could I come back for them. This did not suit so they posted parts 1st class so I got them next day. Ordered parts online with 2nd class post only being offered on Friday they arrived on the next Thursday, so the choice of 1st class would be nice .

I use gsf quite a bit and this time had ordered parts for a service on my vehicle. Unfortunately I was sent the wrong oil filter and air filter despite entering my registration. I have spoken to friends who have had similar problems and will no longer use Gsf I note there is a disclaimer saying that the parts may not be correct but cannot see the logic in asking for reg details when likely to be wrong parts in any case. I will be returning the wrong parts when next passing the branch

Over the years my personal experience of GSF is that they supply as many wrong parts as the correct ones. I sympathsize that within a vehicle`s model / year there can be variations of parts etc but I live around 17 miles from the nearest branch and now that I`m just surviving on a pension using my time and fuel to return wrongly supplied parts isn`t a viable option for me. The brake pads recently supplied for my Peugeot 307 were wrong-these were ordered on line and I still have them. Unfortunately GSF could never supply me with the correct rubber gaiter for another Peugeot I previously owned and the complete set of brake pads I bought for our school run ``bus`` (a Seat Alhambra) were completely wrong and as I couldn`t find the receipt for them I couldn`t return them. I think they`ve been thrown away now - around £60 wasted there. They did get the wiper blades for the wife`s car correct at the third attempt and a young lady delivered them to my house after two abortive visits by me to their shop. Having been employed by the MOD sourcing and supplying parts to replace worn out parts for military vehicles from Land Rovers to Challenger tanks where it had to be right first time, I`ve found GSF to be a very hit or miss organisation and any business is only as good as the people who are employed by it and do the job properly that they are paid to do.

I used the online chat via the website as there was a choice of handbrake cables and the information on the site wasnt clear on the differences. Needless to say the parts I was advised were the correct ones were actually indeed the wrong ones. Which left my car off the road for a day as the correct ones were not available same day. I will say though that Laura in GSF Basingstoke was very helpfull and completely on the ball with getting correct parts in for me. In a nutshell, dont bother with the online chat and go straight to store.

Ordered Parts online (2 shown as in stock). Went to collect and nobody could find them. I was given some alternative parts that did not fit and had to go back again to get the right part. Pricing is seriously suspect (60% off at the weekend !!!!). GSF either overcharge horrendously are out to play games that catch out the unsuspecting. Nobody of sound mind would have paid £50 for the wipers I bought for £20.

I SELECTED THE PART ON LINE AND ORDERED IT FOR COLLECTION. I COLLECTED AND PAID IN STORE. WHEN I STRIPPED OUT ALL THE PARTS ON THE CAR TO REPLACE THE PART I FOUND IT TO BE THE WRONG PART. WHEN I TOOK IT BACK THE ASSISTANT SEARCHED FOR THE CORRECT PART BUT CAME UP WITH THE SAME WRONG PART REFERENCE. THE SYSTEM WAS WRONG.
