I rang the store in Byfleet this afternoon and spoke to Lewis Jayes. I have been in the car dealership trade for a good while now and very seldom would I take the time to give a fantastic review, but after todays very informative phone call giving the relevant information and putting to one side the correct battery for me and then when i arrived he fitted it. Very professionally double checked the battery and found it to be under performing after placing in the car. Not an issue took it out and replaced with another new battery which this time was spot on. Need to keep members of Staff like this as Halfords must struggle to keep really good team members. Lewis Jayes Thank you for all your help today your are a real asset to Halfords Byfleet . Really great service.

Ordered a car seat said i would be able to collect the next day. Recived a phone call next morning saying no car seat would have to wait for anouther 3 days said ok but after it still never turned up i requested a refund which i still havent recived 2 weeks latter will never use this company again.

The service provided by the employees is disgusting. Quit a few times I have had bed experiences in this place. I also was given a penalty because the car wheel was a bit over the yellow line. I wasn't using the space of the next bay, this was the yellow line for non parking area. This is the Purley way shop.

This is regarding a recent bike order for a Boardman ADV 8.6. The bike was delivered on Wednesday 25th November, and when the box was opened I found it was not built adequately with one of the pedals not attached to the bike and no associated equipment or instructions in order to do this ourselves. This was deeply frustrating given an additional £25 was paid to have the bike built upon delivery. On Thursday 26th, I phoned the appropriate customer service team and explained the situation, and the woman over the phone made it sound quite simple that the bike could be collected and have the pedal put back on before being re-delivered (or taken to nearby store and recollected), which would take approximately 24 hours with being a fairly small job. The bike was collected by DX Delivery following this arrangement on Friday 27th November. It should be noted that I had to wait until dark and later in the day for both Hermes to deliver the parcel and DX Delivery to collect it. It should also be noted that from this point I had not received a single email about the status of the order/bike from it being delivered. This morning I rang customer service again to find out exactly where the bike was up to, and was initially deeply frustrated with the amount of time wasted with being put on hold and then cut off. The third time round, I eventually got through on the phone to a different person at Halfords and explained the situation, who to my disbelief said that a refund has been issued and the bike could not be returned, as the initial bike sent back would be classed as faulty and there are no replacement bikes currently available. This was extremely irritating not knowing at the time that the bike collected on Friday would have not been returned back to me. So, not only I am extremely disappointed about poor service in terms of the bike build, but also about the very false information I received from the customer service team last week in relation to the bike collection and having it returned. So, I am now without a bike and cannot go back and order anything as nearly all similar models are out of stock, and I am waiting for a refund. This is definitely an experience I would never want to have again.

I brought 2 dashcams off Halfords 31st October 2019 one has developed a fault and with this lockdown have not been able to get to a store until now 17days past the year. I understand its gone past 1 year but with this pandemic going on and people shielding i thought Halfords would have shown a bit of leeway. Haha how wrong was i. You may have only lost 1 customer but i think when people hear it could well be a few more.

I had previously went for a bike a south shields Halfords customer service was awful spoke to customer services excellent and they booked my bike to be collected at Halfords Team Valley Gateshed Amazing cant praise the service I recieved off a young lad called Hamish I have never had anyone be so helpful pleasent and he took time in helping me what I needed .Hamish is an asset to Halfords I had previously lost all faith in Halfords after my experience at the shields store but Hamish at the Team Valley store has restored this and should be rewarded for his customer service skills infact this lad should be managing south shields store and they may learn the exceptional customer service skills he has .I have awarded Halfords 5 star due to this young man Hamish

Just wanted to write and tell you about my experience in the Carlisle branch of Halfords last night. A young man (didn't get his name) fitted a bulb in the front light of my Hyundai... Sounds simple, but wasn't. He had to take the light assembly out - no mean feat, it had probably not moved in twelve years! With tool kit and torch he worked away for at least quarter of an hour and got the job done. I was so impressed at his cheery attitude, it really made my day. And all for ten pounds including two bulbs! Brilliant service with a smile.

Bought a child scooter that fell apart quickly. Submitted a review to their website which was rejected without explanation. So don't trust the reviews on the website!

I visit you Crawley store quite a lot and I have got to say thank you to Thomas for your advice and patience with me!! I have got to say his customer service and knowledge was fantastic!! He was friendly and approachable I will be asking to speck with him in the future! As customers we want to be in and out! I wish him all the best for the future and I believe strongly that he will do your store in county oak Crawley very proud! Thanks Thomas 👍🏼

I bought a car seat and I gave my review for the product ( not good) and the service ( good) but my review was moderated and they decided not to put it on their website. Why they ask for feedback or a honest review but then they refuse to put it on their website ? Does it mean that they allow only good reviews to be published instead of honest ones?

Was excited about getting my new personalised number plates. Went to the kirkstall store in Leeds. The front plate went on no problem but the rear one not so easy. First it was put on with lower screw holes showing. I said that I did.nt want it like that. I was told it would have to be stuck on instead, no problem, but then it was stuck on off centre so I said it looked odd and at that point I felt like I was been awkward !!! Why would I pay for new number plates of they are going to look silly ? The plate was then taken off and re stuck over the old sticky bits..needless to say it is already lifting but I won't be going back to that store !!!

They have failed to deliver the bike I purchased over 6 weeks ago and have been no help every time I have contacted them for updates about its location. After 30 days of waiting tried to cancel the order to be told I could not, which is in breach not only the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but also their own Terms and Conditions of Sale for Halfords! Have reported them to the UK trading standards and also the European Online Dispute Resolution platform. Would advise other customers to be very careful when ordering online from them.

Took my car to Halfords Guildford for an MOT. Tyre advisory. I asked if they could replace it immediately. They didn’t have one in stock so Amir went to fetch one for me. Excellent service. Thank you Amir.

Great service at Halfords Durham, professional, efficient and friendly, work to be done clarified at start, and any change to plan / cost communicated before being undertaken. On collection full explanation of work done and breakdown of costs. The centre very helpful in accommodating appointments. Never had a problem with any work carried out and always have confidence in my car. The guys in reception, Ron and Andy, very knowledgeable and helpful.
