I posted my review last night. This is your response as cut and pasted from below: "Thank you for your feedback. I understand that this was a long and stressful process for you both. It is disappointing that the outcome has left you feeling so unhappy but I am glad that we came to a mutual resolve". This is a blatant lie. There has been no resolution. In fact, I've been told: "Yes, you're right, this issue is bigger than initially thought...all the best in reaching a resolution....."

Firstly, I’d like to say that the sub-contractor, Justin, did a first class job. The carpet is also wonderful and a good job was done. The vinyl underlay is quite another matter. I’ve been told that the dents and striatal creases caused by a botched “fix” will come right in “about a year”. After speaking to your Complaints team, it seems it’s not that bad- they’ll hopefully come right in a couple of months. Can you please tell me when the lines caused by the botched underlay MDF will stop appearing? There are new ones. Or why the underlayment gives underfoot when we walk on it? Can you tell me why the full cost of the job was debited from my Mastercard before anyone set foot in my home, so that I had no financial recourse. Can you tell me why I paid for furniture to be moved, and, when the installers knew I had a disability, I was told “the boy will help you put it back?” Why, when I asked if my local franchise holders if they knew of anyone who could plane the doors down to be rehung, was I asked for $30 per door in cash, which I paid. Your franchise holder was the person who turned up to do the job, a former bespoke builder. So why do the doors not close, stick and why did he apply so much force that one door jamb cracked? So many whys, not so much help. I was told my timber floors were to blame. The independent assessment I had today evidences that they are sound, but the underlayment far from that. Please don’t ask your franchise holder to resolve this Harrisons. Enough is enough. I have lost all faith. So, Fair Go? Disputes Tribunal? Why not.

Sold us polyester as fabulous, it turned to mush in a month. Wouldn’t trust this company at all.

Do not bring your business here if service matters to you.I chose Harrisons to carpet my 5 bedroom 2 living room home as the family promise appealed to me. I was happy with the initial consultation and product. The product options vary little between companies so it service that it is the differentiator. My experience with the Johnsonville Branch is the worst service I have ever experienced. Under no circumstances would I recommend this franchise. I have told people of my experience and some of these people were in the market for flooring and are now taking their business to competitors. I have been made to feel like being a customer is not valued, treated like I had no reason to complain with each of the issues resulting in a stance of defend defend. My issues included the following. What follows is a brief summary to give potential purchases a sense of what my experience was. My initial consultation advice was this job was large and would take two days I was advised that closer to installation there would be discussion on what to do first and a reminder that I would need remove small items. My quote included Harrisons shifting large furniture.- I asked for advice on how to sequence and was told a conversation would happen just before . A few days prior to installation I am informed this is a big job will have a large crew and if goes well hope to complete in one day. As a consequence I was instructed to move all small items. This filled my garage, kitchen, laundry,ensuite and bathroom. Day 1, I receive a text just prior to 11am that some rooms would be done upstairs, someone was sick and they had to go finish a job that wasn't finished the day before. Clearly I should have been advised sooner. Less than 1/2 work done and promise of completion day 2. I was told all rooms would be completed apart from the hallway! Again reassured will be done on day 2. Not the case, Get told 3.30pm day 2 will have to finish stairs on day3. Get home and a bedroom is incomplete, no work in the hallway at all, old carpet ripped out and exposed nails on stair case- a safety hazard and numerous other issues. Most day 2, 1 person on site, 2 at 4pm, 4 people at 5pm gone by 5.30pm. Day 3 which was not the agreement - job finally finished. I am told it as my choice to move everything for day 1 when actually I was told to. The disrupt has been significant. I have also been treated very disrespectfully. Grease stains, food crumbs and rubbish left on my dining table and chair and one of the contractors commented to my daughter oh sorry we didn't finish we got busy. My daughter replied you need to speak to my mum and the response was "you better sweeten her up then"! Day 3 I discover dust all down the skirting on stairs and hallway. These are newly painted services two days before installation so dust has come from the job. The response from the franchise holder "I would like to remind you that we are a flooring company, not a cleaning coming. Dust from your house not from new carpet. New carpet and underlay doesn't have any dust". Not one single personal contact just texts!. In summary unprofessional poor service. And my only recompense offered $240 to shift heavy furniture that was left scattered all around the house. My family and I did this so some normality could be restored in a state of chaos. I am an extremely disappointed customer, simply not good enough

I had a rough job done on Lino laying a while ago, didn’t realise the bad corners and missed a patch behind cooker. I wrote a negative post about the problems. The company contacted me and Phil Hitchcock came to check out the problems. Agreed with us, but it was unfortunate that he didn’t receive any feedback I gave. My message was not past onto him. But I’m pleased to say he arranged for problems to be corrected within a couple of weeks. The Lino layer he sent was a very good polite helpful man. Did a great job, showed me what he had done. I’m very happy with the rectified Lino. Well done to the Lino layer, swept up even, and put some mats back. Brilliant. And thanks to Phil for sorting it out promptly.

Extremely disappointed in the service. Horrible communication. Exposed nails left for preschool children to injure themselves. Old carpet left to rot on front lawn after paid for takeaway service.

Phoned 10 days ago for rough estimate for cost to lay vinyl in small bathroom and toilet. This was because we are out of town and did not want to waste their time if we were not happy with laying cost. Was very surprised to be asked if we owned our home (what has that to do with you) and how many people lived there (when I asked what did that matter, was told so they would sort out what kind of vinyl we should have. Said I had already chosen what I wanted!) Was told that Geoff would contact me but obviously they are not at all interested in small jobs. Not at all impressed with this place and would not consider dealing with them now or in the future.

Sales process was good. Installation was average. Didn’t have enough carpet at the end and tried to get us to Join the left overs together. Seriously! Fault discovered in the carpet, still waiting for a replacement months later. Joins very visible in the doorways. Never again!

Salesperson was fantastic. Everything else? Appalling. I’m fed up and would not recommend them to anyone else. Shoddy workmanship from the guy laying the floor - we even have a lump in the middle of it!!!!

Poorly advised on product to use . poor preparation of floor and poor laying of both carpet and vinyl . requested return of layer by way of e mail but no answer. Franchise holder very arrogant.totally unhappy.hey folks.steer clear of this outfit

Very insulting $2.20 discount on a $4819.80 on Lino plank quote. No rate per meter price on product or the meterage or number of boxes of to be laid or laying rate per meter. Very unprofessional.

Having used Harrisons once with mixed feelings we gave them a 2nd opportunity. That opportunity was not taken in the name of integrity by the local franchiser in our area and in fact taken as a chance to provide us with a lesser quality carpet than our 1st experience, (we asked for exactly the same.) And at a top quality price. We saw though this with the help in the attitude and manner of this franchise holder who displayed a similar disposition as on his first occasion. We settled for another supplier who provided people skills, quality, and price all over. All about who you use as your agent.
