Wanted to give no stars but could not. I bout a dresser and 2 nightstands. Never again. Do not follow their direction because they don’t even know how to put their own furniture together. IKEA tells you just click the pieces in place which is impossible. I will now we buy furniture from IKEA every again. Right now I’m waiting on my drill to charge because I followed the directions and the drawers will not fit in the dresser. Have to change out all the drawer rollers have to drill my own holes because IKEA’s quality control must have all been sick the day my pieces were cut and pre drilled. I will say it again will never buy IKEA furniture ever again.

I ordered a high chair a few days ago. It was better pricing than Amazon, or so I thought. $25 plus shipping and tax came out to about $32. The estimated delivery date was today, may 30, Monday. I got an email saying it will be here today by 5pm, and then a text saying it would be here today by 9pm. (?) When I checked the tracking from my original email thanking me for my purchase, it said it won't be here for another 2 days! I called the customer service line and the first lady was apologetic, saying it was coming from FedEx, and she's not sure why, but the order was only just completed today. I asked her the reason and she didn't know. I asked her if I can get a discount for the wait and inconvenience and she transferred me to someone else, saying it was possible to get a discount. The second lady I spoke to was unapologetic and condescending, saying they don't offer discounts for delivery issues, even though it's their fault that the order was only just completed today, on the estimated delivery date. They took no accountability and I am still waiting for my highchair. Amazon would have refunded me my order right now even if I still got the highchair because it is past the expected delivery date. Ikea needs to take accountability.

I have been going to Ikea for more than 20 years in different countries. However, the upgrades to the oulet at Ioannina is an absolutely dissapointment. Its not atteactive, does not temp to buy anythin, checkout is cramped and there are no stock. Even worse is the restaurant!! It has become a fast food outlet with food placed in take-away cartons, everything mixed together and it is off putting. I will never go there again for my favourite meatballs!! I just home not all Ikea stores are going this way, and if the do, they will loose my clientele- and many others I’m sure!

I have today visited the Wednesbury store to do an exchange on some curtain poles and accessories. I literally wanted the same items in a different size. I spoke to two colleagues Lorna and Peter who were both managers and both of them said computer says no. No receipt no exchange. This is pathetic, the items are clearly brand new. Unfortunately I didn’t keep the receipt because I didn’t think an exchange was be necessary. HOW PATHETIC THAT YOU WONT EVEN ALLOW ME TO DO AN EXCHANGE!!! Extremely poor, will be closing my family account and never shopping with you again. You can also rest assured I will be leaving poor reviews all over the internet.

Just about everything went wrong. 4 hours shopping. They charged me TWICE for the products I purchased.... once at $110 and once at 152 (for the same products). Then they had the hide to send a security guard after me who told me I hadn't paid at all, embarrassing me in the shop. I told them to credit my purchases and I would leave them behind. They gave me back the $110 but were reluctant to give me back the $152, even though they told me that they had charged me twice. In the end they credited both amounts, but I had to leave them behind because the security guard kept telling me that I hadn't paid. Ridiculous staff who dealt poorly with their own mistakes. They were not behaving reasonably at all, and didn't want to assist me with my purchase. I left without purchasing a thing. I won't be back. Zero stars for this horrible experience. Customer service is dreadful - worst I have seen.

Bought a platform bed with the assurance from the sales person that Task Rabbit was in my area. Not the case. We are over 60 and now we have to haul the bed back to IKEA. Not a good experience with IKEA.

I was over charged at the checkout and didn't realize until I examined the docket at home. I spent over 1 hour trying to have the matter resolved but it is still unresolved. So much for Ikea's customer Service.

After confirming delivery with Ikea day prior, delivery is not happening. When you call support, they move your delivery date with no explanation to week or few weeks further and then it happens again. So you pay money. But never get your furniture.

Bought a rug a week ago, it sheds like crazy, took it back to IKEA ashton for an exchange and a young lad Deacon who was apparently the quality assurance expert tells me there is nothing wrong with it and refuses an exchange or refund. The duty manager tells me he has to go with the expert tells him I'm now stuck with a faulty item that I dont want to use for fear of a child pulling out a tuff and choking on it. Ikea has the worst returns policy going. I asked Deacon to see a copy of the quality assurance policy but he tells me there isn't one but he has been on a training course. Avoid IKEA as if its faulty you will get nowhere

They call me so early in the morning to confirm my delivery. Unfortunately, I miss the call and they left me a voice note saying that they will deliver the items that I order between 8 am-12 pm. I suddenly get the text message that I need to reschedule my delivery. So I call the number that they provided in the text. The customer service was so rude and not respectful at all. I can hear her sight couple of time after she need to repeat the question for me or if I ask her question. she sound like someone just woke up from bed. I know how hard it is to work in the customer service industry. I've been there myself. However, this is not how you treat your customer especially when they call and ask nicely about it. So disappointed. In the future I will not use Ikea delivery service anymore.

VERY POOR customer service! I ordered some book cases / display cabinets. One of the shelves was (what looked like) water damaged, one of the glass / wood doors was warped and there was a ‘screw fitting’ missing. I phoned customer services who told me that to get a replacement shelf, they would have to send the whole unit out, then return what I didn’t use. I decided that it wasn’t really worth doing that, as books were hiding most of the damage anyway. The customer service assistant said she would send a new door and ‘screw fitting’. One week later, I had a delivery of TWO new doors but no screw fitting! I swapped one of the doors for the warped one, and contacted customer services again, this time on Twitter as I couldn’t get to speak to them on the phone. I asked them to collect the two doors I now had (one walked and one not damaged) and asked again for the missing screw fitting to be sent to me. Dominique said “I am sorry to say that due to the value of the items, we are not able to facilitate a collection for you in this instance, and we would have to ask that you dispose of these items”. I told Dominique that my car is too small to fit the doors in but that I was expecting another IKEA in a few days time, so could I just send the two doors back with them? She said “you'll not be able to hand the doors back to the driver. Unfortunately they are only able to take the items that are listed on their docket for insurance purposes.” I could not make Dominique understand the stupidity of the situation, so asked for my complaint to be escalated. She said “I am the social media team lead, and the highest point of escalation available to you in regards to this matter.” I still have the two doors and will NOT buy from IKEA ever again!

Do not buy from IKEA. It's a never ending money pit of low quality GARBAGE. I paid for the furniture, then I paid to have it delivered, then I paid to have it assembled. Now I am paying with my health. The couch is made from some material that has a strong odor that has given me a headache. Do yourself a favor. If you see something in the store and you have a good knowledge of how to put it together go for it. Or pay dearly with health and money.

As a Swedish person it hurts me to put down my country's pride; IKEA but I have no other option than to inform others about the risk. I bought a new 20K kitchen plus a £3000 quartz worktop made by Sheridan. Sheridan makes worktops for IKEA, Wickes, Benchmarx and Magnet. Sheridan pretty much has a monopoly on luxury worktops. And I would have to pay a huge price for this, both financially and mentally. Sheridan delivered a worktop that was REPAIRED leaving their workshop- hoping I wouldn't notice it. They damaged the worktop further during installation but would blame me. Since I had paid for the worktop through IKEA, IKEA was legally responsible. IKEA promised to help me but failed again and again. In their defence, Sheridan didn't even reply to IKEA! But IKEA didn't follow up and left me hanging week after week. I lost count of how many phone calls and emails I sent. And some people at IKEA were lovely but they never found a solution, even after I myself suggested 3 different solutions. I had no working kitchen or a promise of a new worktop even after 2 months. And Sheridan didn't care- and why would they? They have monopoly! When I wanted to contact a manager at IKEA, the person at the IKEA worktop department refused to give it to me. I eventually contacted a solicitor who then contacted the CEO of IKEA UK. Then things started happening. The subcontractors to Sheridan came to fix the worktop, they fixed one damage but the other one was like mentioned earlier, a repair. Even Sheridan's own fitters were in shock at how Sheridan could send out a repaired worktop. IKEA's manager had assured me that all worktops were inspected before delivery, which was a lie and she didn't even apologise for it. In the end, I had a working kitchen. It wasn't so much living without a kitchen for two months that hurt, it was being ignored, and no one cared. I will never ever put my foot in an IKEA store again. And if you do buy a kitchen, make sure you buy things DIRECTLY from the supplier so when things go wrong, that company has to fix the issue. IKEA gave me £400 cash, and £200 vouchers (companies actually make money on giving out vouchers since it brings customers back in-store). Sheridan gave me £100 as a 'goodwill' which was even more insulting- they put me through hell and they got away with trying to deliver a REPAIRED worktop. There were more twists and turns in this story but it would be too detailed, again, it almost broke me mentally not being heard, respected or offered a solution- until a solicitor contacted the CEO It's disappointing that a customer in a civilised country like the UK could be treated like I was.

Be aware, any office chairs (JÄRVFJÄLLET, MARKUS) you are buying, you can't return & refund fully if you have assembled the chair once. It’s a design issue and IKEA stating T&C’s doesn’t make it a good case for consumer rights. I have JÄRVFJÄLLET which I'm happy with, using it for a year plus now. And few other products purchased earlier and doesn’t had any reasons to go back for returns or refunds. For a second home office chair, did a online purchase of MARKUS last week due to unavailability of JÄRVFJÄLLET for delivery. Delivery was on time for the MARKUS and once assembled it within few hours felt uncomfortable with my back pain repeated. Hence wanted to return and replace with JÄRVFJÄLLET. Below is my unsuccessful experience & lesson for all, on trying to disassemble and taking the unit to store for return. On these chairs once assembled, you can remove the seat, back rest, handles and wheels from the unit, but you cannot dis-assemble the base unit of the chair. From the store returns team, understand due to safety reasons the base unit gets locked and cannot be removed and put back into the flat case. They can offer 60% of the price of the chair as refunds even though it’s used for only few hours. It's disappointing to note, the products that comes in flat pack can't be disassembled to put back in the flat pack again for returns. You can’t return the product through online returns and can only be done at stores due to this issue. IKEA is pointing out to T&C's clause on why they can't refund the assembled product, even if it is used for few hours after assembling and no disassembling features in the product. My view, they should fix the fault in the designs in the product that stops from dis-assembling the product and send back as returns. Also don’t agree with their view on trying out in store before ordering online. You cannot try for few minutes in store on how good a chair is... unless you use it for a day or two. Those who have back problems like me, would recommend try somewhere else and read their TC's on the returns prior to order.

I order a console and only receive partial parts to my order which was discovered with my task assembly person. Called into IKEA customer to report the problem of the missing parts spoke with 6 different representative and none of them could do anything. One rep by the name of Tara was rude and doesn’t have great customer service skills. They told me on 4 separate calls that I will be receiving my replacement items but couldn’t give me a tracking number. I placed my order on 3/28 and still waiting for my missing items. I would never ever purchase from ikea again very unorganized and very incompetent representative. So sad that these companies will take your money and can’t even fulfill your request when they screw up.

Part missing and mark on on Alex desk ...phoned customer service and while there's a bit of a wait for an answer really helpful, responsive and had a lovely manner. Very pleased with items

The company is from Sweden but they have very poor manners. At the billing counter you have security people staring at your goods and at you. They are checking if you have stolen something. Its so sad, I havent seen such a thing happening anywhere in the world. At least train them to stand a bit away or stare discreetly. After purchasing goods worth a fortune, you dont like to see such a staredown. Shame on Ikea India. If they treat Indians with such disrespect, they should be made to shut shop in India. As usual the Indian management team fails you. #shutdownikeaindia
