Ordered bed. 3 of 5 boxes arrived. 1.5 hrs waiting for phone, told deliver in 4-7 days. A month later, deliver schedule but didn't arrive and no call to tell me. Called delivery, told warehouse issue, would call back. Never called back, called them, told weight limit in my neighborhood...no such thing for boxes that weigh maybe 50 pounds, no problem with big vans coming to my building, referred back to IKEA, put on hold while "researched", after an hour phone cut off. Now waiting for 45 min for delivery co to " research". I paid for this stuff in Dec, it is now mid March and cannot get any answers. Still don't have a bed!

Quality of merchandise & price are fine but Ikea contracts with a third-party delivery service. Delivery dates provided by Ikea are nothing but a guess. In my particular delivery, the merchandise sat in a warehouse for a week before the contractor delivered. When I complained to Customer Service, they were slow to reply & gave me a canned pitch with zippo customer service. Buyers Beware! I will never do business with Ikea again.

I have very awful experience with IKEA home delivery and IKEA customer service. I am utterly disappointed and would not recommend IKEA online shopping and home delivery to anyone. I ordered a IKEA dining table set and a coffee table online and requested home delivery. Their delivery partner XPO logistics failed to deliver the item in 3 consecutive attempts. Every time they schedule / re schedule the delivery and confirm the delivery date and timing by calling your phone before the delivery, but they just don’t appear on the delivery date. Even after the failed delivery neither IKEA nor XPO will call you to reschedule the delivery. IKEA will instruct you to call delivery partner and when you call XPO they will say call IKEA to reschedule the delivery. There is no communication between IKEA and XPO. And when you try to reach IKEA over phone, you may have to wait from 30 min to 1 hour to reach a customer service representative. Sometimes I had to wait even more than an hour, I don’t know who has that much of time and patience just to get some furniture delivered. Finally after 1.5 month and 3 failed delivery attempt I gave up and requested a refund. And to my absolute surprise and anger, they said they will process the refund once they get the merchandize back to their warehouse. Probably XPO lost the shipment which is why they could not deliver, and in that case they will never be able to return the order to IKEA, then why should I be penalised for their fault. I told them as soon as XPO confirms that they did not deliver the item, which they confirmed already, I should get my money back. It’s been more than a month now after the refund request placed and still have not got my $600 back. I was eagerly waiting to share a positive feedback on the IKEA product quality, so much I had heard of, but how would you do that when you do not even receive the product and end up with an experience of absolute harassment along with sheer wastage of money, time and effort.

We buy thousands of pounds of stuff from Ikea every month. Do not let Ikea send you stuff by Parcel Force. Use the Ikea pick and delivery next day service. Costs £10to pick the stuff and like £35 to have it delivered next day. This works, but you have to go to the Ikea store to order. If you order online or use the standard delivery service then Ikea will send it via Parcel Force. Do Not Use Parcel Force. You have only a 30% chance of getting your stuff. Parcel Force use the lowest cost delivery contractors and therefore your package may take weeks.

I purchased items online and had them delivered to a project. When they were delivered, I was missing two items which the delivery company said I would have to go through my list and figure out which two items they were. Really?? Once I figured out my missing items, they told me I would have to call Ikea, they could not help me. I called Ikea's 1-888 number and waited for over 30 minutes for someone to answer. I finally got frustrated and hung up. I called back another time and waited 25 minutes..still no one picked up. I went into the store the next day for help and everyone I spoke to said I had to deal with the online number, they could not help me. I was incredibly upset by this point. I paid for these items and yet IKEA was not contacting me to let me know when I would get the items that were missing, their store was not helping me get my missing items and their 1-888 number was not being answered. After three frustrating days, I finally got someone on the phone (after waiting over 30 minutes again!). I asked for the items to be refunded. I went to the store that same day to purchase the missing items so that I could finish the project. Five days after I called for my refund, I still have not received a credited refund from IKEA. Their customer service is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. It is 2018, why in the world would anyone need to wait on the phone for 30 minutes to talk to a customer service representative. IKEA is a multi-million dollar company, their customer service number should be one of the best. IKEA...you have lost my business, my family's business and all my customers. Customer service should be your #1 priority!!

Having saved and planned for our new kitchen for months, paid in full weeks in advance, we await the delivery of our new Ikea kitchen. Timed four hour delivery slot meant that we had to take time out of our busy professional lives to take delivery of the units. Delivery date was confirmed by Ikea by text so all was set and we wait and wait..... after several further telephone calls we are still none the wiser and still no delivery. To be quite honest I am totally f##### off, a simple phone call from Ikea and we could have rearranged the delivery date avoiding our loss of confidence and wasted day out of work. The fitting team can no longer start as the units are not on site and because our old kitchen has now been decomissioned we are without a kitchen sink, totally unacceptable.

Only one box was delivered by their shipping company. They missed the second box which contained the table top. I was left with only the legs, extensions and frame for a table. When I called IKEA customer service and I was on hold for 45 minutes waiting for the next representative and I finally gave up. Then I called the shipping company North American Logistics and they put me on hold for 20 minutes to find out where the second box was and they hung up on me after 20 minutes. My experience with IKEA is poor customer service or lack of customer service.

They did not delivered one of my order. We called them they promised to deliver next week. No one showed up. We called them again , they promised to deliver in 2 weeks. We did not receive confirmation, nor call from trucking company, so we called again. We spent more than two hours to talk to customer service, finally they said it won' be delivered, and contact to store directly. The store told us that since they made a mistake , they had to pay trucking company for delivery fee, but they don't want to pay so they have not shipped our order. Ikea does not have any customer service , nor responsibility to customer.

The new haven ct store is really understafded and not well trained. Its the second week in a row i visited the same store and spend 2 hours waiting for order pick up. Second time i went, i actually ordered product online and we still needed to wait for the store pickup for 2 hours. Ended up cancelling half of the order to stop the wait ...seriously, not worth the hassle. Such a waste of time.

Order a counter top and two Alex drawers to build a computer desk. I placed the order on the 6 FEB and received a conformation email stating that my order was confirmed ok cool! Then got another email stating that my desk would be delivered on the the 16th ehh ok no big deal. Two days later I received another email that it would be delivered on the 23rd! and that I would get a call from the company that would be delivering to set a time they could drop it off at my house. Mean while during all of this I would try calling their customer service line for which I would wait for 40 minutes to even 1hr on the phone just to talk to someone! After all the time I spent on the phone I never got an answer of where exactly my products were other them telling me that its at the HUB awaiting action. The HUB is closed on the weekends so by the time I will be able to call them it will the 26th. Who knows how long ill have to wait to actually receive my desk. Needless to say I WILL NEVER order from this company again their customer service is trash and a customer should never have to chase down where their purchase is.

It has been just about a month since we bought IKEA online (over $2,000 worth of furniture)... the replacement order (to replace the broken part) has just been announced that it will be here in about another 10 days. They really should just not have an online retail store... at all... They have not given us any discount other than giving us free delivery after calling them a few times. A percentage off refund or something past free delivery would make me happier than what I would already get just ordering from Amazon. Until they change something, everyone should take their business elsewhere. This is pathetic.

I went to the Norwich Branch and ordered Items on 9th January and was told it would be delivered on 23rd January - I then got a txt message to say delivery postponed to 7th February - I called to chase the delivery on 7th to be told it was still on route with parcel Force - I called again on 8th Feb to be told still on route with parcel force and they cant rack it !!! I have called numerous times now to be told it is still with parcel force and they dont know when it will be delivered (I think this is the only company in the world that leaves packages with parcel force that can not be tracked!!!) - if I want my money back it will take 10- working days for refund and the customer service is extremely poor ! there is no management to speak to and apparently the 'call team' cant help at all - I will NEVER use IKea again its shocking

My friend and I went to Ikea near Walthamstow the area is clean and the showroom is fantastic.I have known IKEA since 1995 as there is IKEA in Kuwait where I used to work I was dissapointed when I approached a man how to order and deliver. He told me to pay first. The long que is unbelievable. At the till the lady cashier said to go to the 12 section and from there we can order and pay at the same time. The lady from that section told us we need to go downd wait to the que At this point my leg is painful going up and down the stairs. The staff does not now the process how to handle costumer We just need to order pay and deliver to our house With great disappointment and frustration we went home empty handed I am pretty sure this not the legacy of IKEA founder Will I go back to IKEA never mind Valentino Fernando

I wish I could give a zero star review. Our order was delayed 3 times from original delivery date (1.5 weeks)... finally, we had to go PICK UP our order after paying $350 in delivery fees. When we picked up, the order was missing 2 items. When I asked for a refund on delivery, they denied the refund. I spent over 3 hours on hold with their customer service line and NEVER received a pick up. My only way of communication was thru Facebook page and requested someone call me and was denied the request as well as my delivery refund. I am so disappointed in Ikea and have lost every ounce of respect I had from the company. We will take ALL of our business elsewhere from here on out and I would suggest everyone else do the same, especially if you need items shipped. HORRIBLE!!!!!

I ordered a bedroom closet last week of January, waited more than a week for delivery only to find out that they gave us wrong boxes of the items, hence we could not aI orderedssemble it. So I called Ikea customer service, and its the worst customer service I ever encountered. Not even one word of sorry or any apology coming from that ladys mouth. Didnt even offer anything to compromise at least and make my situation a little bit better. Instead she told me if I will return it early to any Ikea store I will be charged for it for the store taking the item back. and If I would want them to give me the right items, I have to wait another ten days, and wait for ten days too, to get the old boxes from us. it is not convenient in my part since we have a small apartment and the three big boxes are nowhere to keep it somewhere out of sight, considering I have two toddlers running around. Plus now, all our wardrobe is out , since I got rid of the old cabinet to make room for the supposedly working closet today... so our place is such in a big mess... I would understand that lady because its not her fault anyway, but as a customer representative you are obliged to make amends on the customers part, I used to work in a hospitality industry for many years, and I know what can a customer service representative can do. you just dont neglect the emotional and physical setback on the customer's part... what pisses me off is that lady is never, never apologetic at all. she is working in behalf of Ikea so its her responsibility to speak for them and say sorry at least! for the freakin' inconvenience they put us on!!! worst worst experience ever, never again will deal with this company... I hope ikea will read this and make necessary action for the hundreds complaints waiting for them... seriously!

Ordered 22 bookcases for a new bookstore. They delivered 4 bookcases and 22 height extenders- which we can't use without the bookcases. When we finally reached a customer service person, they offered NO help except to send more bookcases in 2 weeks- after our bookstore opens. This delay will cost us $1000's but IKEA doesn't seem to care.
