ordered on line a mans jacket to be delivered 12/1/23. no jacket, text sent to me could not find address, went on line with OnTrac and filled out form and told them exactly where i live. 2 days later again received text that address could not be found again. Went on line and chatted with OnTrac rep, again told them this is twice directions received and wanted order by 12/4/23. on 12/4/23 received email from jc penney and OnTrac that package was delivered. Package found no where, called JC Penney for refund. Will never shop at store of JC Penney and definitely not on line with JC Penney. I have shopped at JC Penney for 50 years! This delivery service is the worst. I will stay with Amazon!!

Had to wait 30 minutes to pick up boots I ordered. There was 4 people in line and 4 people working. Then after two people that were waited on two workers just chose to walk off with four more people still waiting in line.

Everytime I order something its either missing pieces or if I have delivered to the store they never check my item in as delivered. They have gotten quite ghetto.

BOUGHT A JACKET ONLINE THAT HAD A WARNING SECURITY DEVICE "INKTAG" THAT COULD CAUSE INJURY IF REMOVED. I TRY TO RETURN AND PENNYS WANTS $8.00 SHIPPING TO RETURN IT OR DRIVE 25 MILES ONE WAY TO THE STORE. I'M 85 AND BOUGHT ONLINE BECAUSE IT IS HARD FOR ME TO GET TO THE STORE! THAT'S THE REASON I BOUGHT ONLINE. WHY WOULD PENNYS PUT A SECURITY DEVICE ON A PRODUCT BOUGHT ONLINE???????????? STUPID!!!! A SERVICE REP DID ARRANGE FOR A FREE RETURN. STILL A BIG INCONVENIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have a massive sale and the site is nonfunctional for payment. Rep on phone knows nothing about technology. Really? When did this become an option? Tech knowledge is a requirement, like it or not. I shopped elsewhere. No wonder they are closing stores.

I will never shop at JCP ever again. I purchased a bed with mattress on Oct 28,2023 and never received the mattress portion. I’ve called several times and spoken to customer service who have put me off time and again. They left me on hold for 28 minutes minimum each time and this last time after I asked for a manager I was put on hold by said manager and then hung up on. No call back. No email back. Nothing. Do not shop here.

Placed an order late Sunday night, called first thing Monday morning as soon as they opened to add an item to avoid extra shipping charges but was told I was unable to add an item even though my 1st order has not processed yet and I would have to pay an added shipping charge to order what I wanted. Bad customer service

JC PENNY IS DISPICABLE..THEY HAD A PAIR OF DIAMOND EARRINGS ON THEIR SITE SINCE SEPTEMBER FOR 699$..THEY CLAIM TO HAVE BLACK FRIDAY SALE BUT THE PRICE REMAIN THE SAME 699$ NOW TGE CLAIM THEY HAVING CYBER MONDAY SALE AND NOW THE EARRING IS 799$..EVERYTHING WENT UP PRICE IN PRICES EVEN THOUGH THEY CLAIM TO BE HAVING THEIR SO CALL SALES..BEEN MONITORING SINCE SEPTEMBER!..THEYRE A JOKE!

Bury this dinosaur!! Decided to buy something because it was a little cheaper. Went to the store and picked it up. picked up a few other things as well. haven't been there in years. I thought it was closed. found out I couldn't even get half the money back for the s***** products. And they wouldn't even accept them in the store. You have to ship them yourself. That means stuff!! F*** y**JC pannie's.. Bury this old dinosaur!! Never shop here ever.

JCP coupons are a real joke The excluded items are most every brand in the store. It would be alot less to read if they noted what is included not excluded When you find an item that is included with coupon and purchase more than one item a portion of coupon is applied to each item (which I understand) however, if JCP cannot fullfill the order they keep the amount that was applied. If only one item was purchased the full coupon value would apply to that item. The Eastgate Blvd. in Ohio customer service is terrible with the exception of one guy he provides good customer service.

PAID FOR 3-5 DAY DELIVERY. WAY PASTED 5 DAYS TRACKING NUMBER SAYS DELIVERED. I STILL HAVE NO ITEM NOW THERE TELLING ME WAIT ADDITIONAL 2 MORE DAYS. FOR THIS SALE ITEM AND HEADACHE I SHOULDVE BOUGHT THRU AMAZON FOR REG PRICE AND FREE DELIVERY..

I ordered a pair of jeans. Same size and make that I have and love. They came and were way too short. I returned them and the cashier ordered some at the regular length. They came, and were the exact same ones I returned. So I returned them. I then ordered online, again, a pair in black and one in blue. Regular size. They came and the black ones were way too small and the blue ones were six inches too long. Same size. So I returned them. This time they charged me $3.95 per pair for shipping. So, to order online and return an item you have to suck it up and pay their shipping costs. All told, 5 trips to the store. I will no longer shop at JCP. I have shopped there for many many years and am sorry to see them have such shoddy merchandise now.

Charged a $2.00 late fee for a bill I never received. Have never been late on a credit card for 50 years. When I explained to customer service rep that I never received the bill in question for $4.98 she said that she showed it going out and I was responsible. She would not waive fee nor record of late payment. Can you imaging losing a long long time customer over this? Of course it has nothing to do with the $2.00 and everything to do with the customer service. I’m done with them.

JC Penny has a horrific return dept. I purchased a pair of jeans in a size 6 and received a pair in size 10, not my fault. When I tried to return them they told me I would have to pay $8.00 to return them. The jeans were only $20.00. They would not make an exception even after the guy I spoke to asked his supervisor if they could make to see if they could waive the fee, considering it was their error and they would not. I will never purchase from J C Penny again and I will close my JC Penny major credit card. Too bad since I do like some of the merchandise. Beware their return policy.

A few months ago I had purchased a watch from the local JCPennys in Fargo, ND. Today, while my wife did the Wednesday PokemonGo activities, I went into the store (wearing the same watch I purchased earlier so it should be visible on camera, it is a shiny gunmetal black watch on my wrist) as they were advertising Black Friday deals. I look at a few other watches, found some I liked, and made a decision to come back to buy them when I got paid. I then went and waited for my wife in the mall food court no where near the store when an African American man wearing a tattered black hoodie with no name tag or other indication he worked for your store came up to me and complimented me on the watch and asked to see it. When I handed it to him, he asked why I took it from his store. When I replied I didn't I bought it earlier, he asked why I gave it to him. I replied that if I am going to be robbed of a $10 watch, I am going to give it to them. He then told me he saw me rip it out of a box, so I asked him to show it to me, and he said he had it over at the store, at which time mall security came over. He lied to them and said he wasn't accusing me of anything, and when I called him out using his own words "take it from HIS store" "rip it out of the box" he admitted I was right, so he admitted to mall security that he was lying. They then reviewed the cameras in the security booth, and he left to check something in his store. He eventually just called back to the mall security and said I could take the watch. Did not come to personally tell me this, had someone else do it. I went back to the store to demand an apology, and told the cashier I "would like to speak to the store manager on duty". The same guy who lied to me and made false accusations answered the call, meaning he was the on duty store manager on 11/15/2023 at the West Acres Mall JCPennys in Fargo, ND. He said he had all he needed and that he wasn't going to apologize for making false accusations and lying. I was understandably upset and said some insulting words to him (I never threatened him or acted violent towards him), but as I was walking out, he decided to follow me, likely to make sure I "didn't steal anything else" Since the $10 watch I purchased months earlier was sooooooo precious to him, I tossed it gently back in his direction for him to have, because again if I am going to be robbed of a $10 watch I paid for, he could have it. I have purchased many items from JCPennys over the years, mostly clothing since they have an excellent Big & Tell Men's clothing section, as well as some kitchen appliances, and even registered for a few gifts there when I got married, but after this treatment, if I need anything like that, I will become one of the millions of Americans giving my share of that market to Amazon, at least they never have accused me of theft, even when I reported my packages missing/stolen and they shipped me replacements. I look forward to hearing about JCPennys going the way of K-Mart and Sears.

I ordered some shirts, Christmas for oldest son. I received from Penny's saying shirts out of stock, also saying they canceled order. Then the shirts were delivered to me, so I refused order. That was THREE weeks ago, they still have NOT refund my money. SEVERAL phone calls, several e-mails- -still NO refund!!

I ordered two bras online it took a while to come and at least one looked like it had been worn and stuffed back in a ripped plastic bag. They were ugly and didn’t fit, so I return them together they cost me $59 and JCPenney charged me $17 for shipping both ways when I return them. I would never have paid $17 to try them on if that had been obvious I never would’ve even purchased them and will never purchase anything again from JCPenney. They have a well-known name but if you read any of these reviews it’s pretty clear they overcharge, under serve, do not have quality products and will send you somebody else’s trash, and then charge you for getting it. Who would pay $17 not to get something doesn’t seem like they should be around for very long. All they’re working off of is name recognition.

ordered a wallet from jc penny on oct 23, 23, they told me should have it by next friday, checked shipping number, one cite said monday the 30th, other said nov 1, i am done with the idiots, cut up my jcpenny card, bunch of liars, non speaking english people, no wonder they only got 17% recommendiations.......
