My local JCPenney store is in Ventura, CA. I wanted to write this review for the exemplary customer service I received this week from associates Lizbeth, Maryam and Veronica. I order from JCPenney online quite often and this time, I needed to cancel 2 orders when they arrived for pickup. These associates were kind, professional and took care of my request with ease. Thank you so much!

I believe it was the worse packaging I have ever seen. The box of glassware was just flopping around in the box. Its a miracle they werent broken!!!

The worst experience ever. I ordered a mattress and waited 2 months then my card expired when they went to ship and cancelled my order without reaching out to me. Then I call the day after the order was cancelled and they tell me to reorder it and and wait 2 more months and the price is 300 more. Totally ridiculous I will never shop their for anything. I will make sure everyone knows the lousy customer service.

I used to consider JCPENNEY one of the top line stores, like Macy's, Foleys. I went to Barton Springs mall in Austin, TX, and was searching through the clearance section and found and bought some redish/burgundy king size sheets and came home to wash them. The problem with the sheets is after being washed the color red is everything is RED! My fingernails, the mattress cover, anything that you wear, etc. is all RED!!! Since when did JCPENNEY sale things that are so cheap! Never again! πŸ˜’

A had a horrible experience with the Jewelry Dept. In Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. I Purchase a diamond ring last year and got it sized. They told me it would be back within a month. I kept calling everyone month and they would tell me it wasn't back from getting it sized. Finally after they research why it wasn't back they discovered that someone with my same name had picked it up. I was furious and told them that it wasn't me that picked it up and to compare the signature of the other person. They Finally discovered that they gave it to the wrong person and gave me a replacement. In April i bought another ring and the same thing happened. They called the wrong person to go pick up the ring. Apparently there is another Lady with my name. I was very 😑 upset because I thought they had corrected the issue. This lady is a thief and JC Penny is horrible, they never handle the situation the first time. I asked for my money back on this last purchase and I'm never going to buy from them again.

I was charged a late fee every month due to the due date not being changed and also had to pay for my return mailings. Customer service manager "Delores" was a cold robotic representative. I will never purchase anything from this store again. Signed, Frustrated, Linda

If i could give them a 0 star review I would. I am so upset at their jewelry department (every store). My boyfriend purchased a promise ring from them in May and we waited 3 weeks for it to be resized and come back in. It was beautiful when it did finally come back in HOWEVER THREE days after getting it back a diamond completely fell out and 2 more were loose and had moved. We were upset because I only had it for 3 days so we took it back and luckily we had gotten a lifetime warranty. We asked for our money back since the ring was defective and I only had it 3 days before it fell apart. We were told that they cannot give refunds back. So we decided to send it off using the warranty and have them replace the missing diamond and fix the other 2 that were clearly crooked. They told us it was going to take 5 to 8 weeks. I was very upset because I only had the ring for THREE days!! Also, this was not a cheap rinky dinky ring, we paid quite about of money for it and were told that it is uncommon for diamonds to fall out. We waited FIVE weeks for it to come back in, and yesterday we went to pick it up, and guess what.... the crooked diamonds were NOT fixed. We didn't even leave the store with it. They were clearly still crooked and it was VERY noticeable. I was so upset and I started crying because we need the ring now for an upcoming date AND we were told we would have to wait FIVE more weeks while they sent it off to be FIXED AGAIN. THEY didn't fix it in the first place. The manager told us we could not get any money back they could only send it off again. Finally, she said she would exchange it for the same ring or give PARTICAL money back. Not even the whole thing even though I only ever had it for THREE days. I was still so distraught that we couldn't get the full refund, so we decided to go with a different ring and hope the diamonds wouldn't fall out. So now were having to wait a few weeks for the new one to come in. I am so unhappy with how they handled this. I feel as if they should have sent our ring to be fixed first since they didn't fix it correctly in the first place. We will NEVER be buying from JC penny again and we will tell everyone we know how horrible our experience was that way they will not buy from them too. JC Pennys ruined our ring shopping experience and I hope other people do not fall into this trap.

First of all, LUV JCPenney, Hate their automation to make a payment. I think the company can take a note from Kohls playbook. Simple and efficient. Hope you can change it soon.

I bought a chain from them and its FAKE! REAL GOLD SHOULD NOT STICK TO A MAGNET AT ALL! The chain itself didnt stick but the clasp did. Nothing said on the label that it was plated anywhere on the chain. If its plated in certain spot IT SHOULD BE LABELED AS SUCH. Who wants to pay 700 on something that is not fully real!

As a Gemologist, DO NOT buy any jewelry from them. Very low quality at a price that'll leave you broke. Go to a locally owned store for your jewelry.

The Head of marketing must’ve been a used car salesman. They have changed their marketing strategy putting down the MSRP of clothing and then giving you a 50% discount. You got to be really stupid to believe that’s the actual price of that clothing. You can find the same clothing at other stores selling for 30 to 40% less than what JC pennies is selling it on sale. No wonder they’re going broke!

We bought a suit jacket for daughters wedding. Father of the bride goes to put on at the wedding to find out that the security thing was still on therefore he could not wear it. Did I mention it was for our daughter's wedding. Take it back the store the day after the wedding and all they could give us was 10% off what a goddamn joke. Lost our business will never walk in a jcpenney store again..

My order was incorrect. Taken over the phone by a customer service representative. Then when I called about it, it was a bad connection wherever the man was at who the call was routed to. Now, after speaking to someone in person and thinking the problem is resolved my order has actually disappeared.

Bought mattress at Albuquerque store. Sales lady stated delivery would call us in about 5 weeks to set a time for delivery and they would pick up old mattress. In June 2021 delivery sent automated msg stating time they would deliver. We had to call them about picking up Old mattress. They said they could not pick up old mattress. We cancelled the delivery & finally cancelled order completely. We went to store which no longer even has a customer service department....thing of the past. JC PENNY customer service and being helpful to customer .....sucks.

Its a month since I ordered the Sealy Posturepedic Humbolt online and not a word from anyone about delivery. I went to the store and called the number they gave to check and that service lady Pam of Columbus, Ohio was outright RUDE. I inquired about delivery and she says the delivery co. will call you. Its a MONTH since JCP took my money, woman! The price has dropped $65 and I asked to do a price match and that bxxxx says VERY sternly "NO, you are NOT going to get a price match because you used an online coupon". What does using a coupon that ''JCP asked me' to use got to do with price match -- before I've even got the product. Service is indifferent and JCP is incompetent. The idiot woman tells me, it takes this long because 'we make it fresh' - Will you please put it in the oven for me, Stupid. Then she goes on to explain 'retail' and 'supply chain' to me. Stay in your lane, Moron. Don't teach what you can't spell. ZERO STARS & TEN KICKS. I am going to cancel this order.
