When you try to book the tickets, they are putting pressure on you to purchase your checked-in baggage for the inflated price. They state, you have to do it right now and this way save 20% compared to what you gonna pay at the airport counter. And it's a big LIE, because in reality you gonna pay Kiwi x2 more than if you would do it during your check-in process. So they wanted me to pay $121+ for up to 15 kg suitcase, but their greed eventually ruined the deal, as I found this fee suspiciously high. Long story short - I was charged $40 (33% of their demanded price!) for the max 23 kg suitcase simply by purchasing the same flight directly from the company. Bye-bye, scammers! Nice try, though.

I used kiwi.com to book my recent trip, I made it to my destination and back but I'll probably never use kiwi.com again. The only reason I booked my ticket on kiwi.com is for the lower price but that came at a huge cost i.e. inconvenience, stress during travel and also more actual cost in terms of dollars. I'd consider kiwi.com if and only if my itinerary does not include any stopovers OR if the entire trip is booked on a single airline OR if it is booked as single ticket even with multiple airlines. Details.... 1. Usually airline tickets are booked based on one main airline(a single ticket). i.e. that airline is responsible for arranging alternatives if a delay or cancellation occurs for some reason. kiwi.com on the other hand books tickets separately i.e airline handling one leg of your travel is not aware of your next leg. if for some reason your flight in the first leg gets delayed and you don't make it to the flight in next leg, the airline is not going to help you in anyway because as far the second airline is concerned your trip is originating in the middle they do not know and are not concerned that you trip started somewhere else and either airline will be responsible for missing your connection. kiwi.com can help if you signed up for some kind of protection which comes at extra cost 2. Being separate tickets and different airlines your baggage is not checked-in to your final destination. so you have to pickup your baggage and re-checkin with the next airline. this in itself does not sound too bad but consider leaving secure side of the airport going to baggage carousel, pick up your bags go to the airline counter and recheck-in your baggage and get new boarding passes and again pass through security. 3. Being separate airlines the connections are not always in the same terminal or terminals that are internally connected. You might have to collect your baggage and leave the airport, arrange travel to the terminal of the other airline.... 4. The previous point made it very difficult for me during COVID times. My PCR test which was done within the acceptable time(72 hrs for my country of destination at the time of my journey) at the start of my journey became unacceptable because the next airline treats as if your journey is beginning there. So I ended up having to leave airport find a place where I could get another COVID test and pay the airline for rescheduling the ticket for my next leg. All in all kiwi.com is not fraud they do book the tickets and they are cheap at first, but by the time you add all the protections which come at a cost, the tickets are not cheap anymore and at that point I'd rather deal with airline for any issues than with kiwi.com's customer service. Don't book on kiwi.com for the price when you add the necessary protections the price goes up and goes up significantly.

It’s sounds very obvious but make sure you double check you baggage allowance details  directly with the airline before you book the flights as my confirmation stated that I had carry on allowance for both legs of my connecting flights but I was ever so bluntly advised at the Spirit boarding gate that they don’t know of such allowance in my name and I needed to pay $65 pronto!

ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS AND BUNCH OF THIEVES RESIDING IN CZECH REPUBLICI had booked flights from Kiwi.com for a trip from India to Australia last year at the peak of pandemic. There were no options available and only this website showed tickets available. Little did I know that I was entering a den of scammers who would end up scamming me for almost A$8000. I booked tickets and it give me a wierd itinerary from India to Doha, Doha to Greece!, Greece to Abudhabhi, Abudhabi to Australia. Weird as it sounded I booked the flight anyways not knowing that I was falling into this trap. The flight was for my Wife and my 4 year old son. We were separated due to covid for almost 1 year and therefore, we wanted to reunite at any cost possible. After I booked the flights I got to know that the flights from Greece to Abudhabi and Abhudhabi to Australia were all getting canceled. I called the Kiwi.com agents and informed that if the flights got canceled while my wife and son are transiting, it will spell disaster for them. They advised me that if the flight gets canceled they have other options available. After reading reviews I came to know that there were people who were forced back to come back to their home country after staying 2 or 3 days in hotels as the flights were not allowed to land in Australia and ended up spending heaps of dollars. I was in a pure state of shock when I learned this as my wife would be completely helpless in a foreign nation with my 4-year-old son. I told Kiwi.com that if the flights gets cancelled then they will have to pay me the entire booking amount as I had taken their bogus Kiwi.com insurance as well. Kiwi.com customer service informed me to cancel the flights on my behalf if I was worried so that they will get the maximum payment, which I firmly declined. I even confirmed from the ground officials from Greece that the flights are not allowed to land or take off from Athens airport (the port where we were supposed to transit from). I waited till the boarding day to see the status, however, I asked my wife and son to stay back and not board the flight anyways because we were sure and certain that the flights were indeed getting cancelled. The day when my wife and son were supposed to board the flight, I finally got the email that I dreaded, that the second itinerary from Greece to Abudhabi and Abudhabi to Australia from carrier Aegean Airlines has cancelled. I immediately requested Kiwi.com for a refund, to which they said that it has been sent to "processing". After their so-called processing for 20 days I got the refund amount of roughly A$1200 and they said that the case was closed. Kiwi.com said that Aegean airlines didn't have any refund policy and even told me that they can't pay me my insurance or other charges for the services that I didn't even use. I was shocked to the core after learning that I was robbed off A$7000 from Kiwi.com. I mailed to their customer service, their managers and even their founder Mr Oliver Dlouhý all in vain. They booked the first flight through Qatar airways from India to Doha which got refunded back and they sent me this tiny amount stating that this is all they could recover. To date I am fighting to get my entire amount back , I even contacted the Interpol but they said that they cannot intervene as it is a trading-related issue. I request everyone to NOT fall in this trap. These people Kiwi.com along with their founder Oliver Dlouhý have been scamming people from a long time. They know all the loopholes to avoid the authorities and despite their terrible fraudulent activities they are allowed to operate legally in Czech republic. It is a shame for the Czech republic govt, that the are allowing such scammers to operated globally. I was fooled enough to be scammed by Kiwi.com due to my circumstances. But you guys please make sure that you don't fall in their trap. Some of the flights which they book may be genuine but most of them are bogus and if they get cancelled there is no way to get your money back. Take care people

Terrible experience. Scoot Airlines had a schedule change. original booked for the 18 May 14:40 pm Change to 18 May 02:00 AM lost of 1 day, lost of 1 night to expensive hotel non changeable non refundable. Kiwi.com doesn't want to give any refunds for the tickets, baggage and tax. By law, when the airlinres cancel the flight OR change the schedule, if the passenger doesn't accept the new schedule, the airline are resposible for full refunds. It doesn't matter what kind of a fare you purchased. it's airlines resposibility. Deffinitley Scoot airlines will give the full refunds, but not this company Kiwi.com. So be very careful, they may look very good attractive fare, but there is something behind all that. They keep the refunds from the airlines rather than giving it back to the passengers. This is how they make money, by keeping what is yours. it's a robbery without you knowing it. Their Terms and Conditions is too long, their policy and everything. They use Air Asia logo on the serch enging and this is my biggest mistakes. I have been SCAM! NO WONDER IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE their fares. Never ever again!

Flight was cancelled by the carrier and when contacting the carrier direcltly was informed that I have the right to a refund or rebooking. However, according to robotic answers provided by the unefficient and useless call centre no refund is possible. Avoid at all costs. Paying a bit more somewhere else is for sure more assuring than dealing with such a nonsense website

Due to book thru third party kiwi.com and happen Vjet delay my 1st trip flight and i unable to rush for my transit flight. And cancellation was at Oct 2023 and now April 2024, email asking for the payment keep pushing to Carrier. My friend using Trip.com cancel and the same day she get fully refund. Trip.com also consider third party but compare kiwi.com this really cannot make it. I dont even wish to give 1 star on it.

Stay away from this company! They use to charge you for changes they make and refuse to take any responsibility for the ticket. They are awfully aware that the passenger is helpless once they have already bought the ticket long ago! Lame customer service, answers are always the same, like machines. Awful experience, horrible stress during my trip. I hope this helps someone else. To Kiwi.com : Pay me back my 440€ ! ref booking 459 768 859

Absolutely horrible. Scammers, crooks, and outright rip-offs. NEVER EVER use any third party for flights. Book directly with the airlines. These people are the worst and never refunded my money after 2 years. Just find every way to cheat people out of money. Cheapo, kayak-they are all find ways to cheat you. Kiwi is just a crooked company period. Use them and any problem-you will regret it.

AVOID KIWI, avoid headache, save you money. 1. Kiwi customer service is quite hard to reach out to, there is no customer service line available to resolve issues. I need to type, and talk to a bot on the other side. 2. I purchased a ticket that was a cancelled flight. As a third party, Kiwi asked me to contact airline for refund directly and Kiwi said they can not confirm if they have my payment. Even my credit card payment shows “KIWI”. Different people/bots will reply when you reach out to customer support, and there is no ownership in kiwi’s customer service to assist and help. If you would want to purchase through Kiwi, please make sure you are covered under insurance or you are absolutely sure about your trip/flight, and prepared to have minimal =0 customer support. If you have to use a third-party plate form, choose the ones with customer service available in case of an unfortunate event. I personally would NEVER use this platform again! I also tell the people around me the feedback I have, and they can avoid unnecessary KIWI experience.

Title: Caution Advised: Unreliable Refund Practices by Kiwi I recently booked a flight from Canada to California through Kiwi, a third-party booking service. Trusting in their longstanding business, I expected them to honor their commitments. Unfortunately, when the airline they booked for me went bankrupt, Kiwi refused to issue a refund, despite having received payment prior to the airline’s bankruptcy. I have initiated a dispute with PayPal and am in the process of seeking resolution. This experience has been disheartening, and I feel compelled to warn others: Kiwi has shown a lack of responsibility and integrity in handling this situation. They have not offered the support or reliability one would expect when entrusting their travel plans to a professional service. To fellow travelers, I advise caution. Your hard-earned money deserves to be managed by a company that upholds honesty and integrity, qualities that Kiwi has failed to demonstrate in my case. Please consider this a warning when choosing a service for booking your flights.

The worst. I lost €260 because of Kiwi and have had 2 months of stressful, annoying customer service contact during my travels leading to nothing but disappointment. Kiwi accepted a last-minute flight change on my behalf which I did not want, however I fixed this by rescheduling myself on the airport and was assured a refund by the airline involved. However, kiwis details (creditcard number + email) were in their system instead of my own. This couldn't be adjusted since the refund would have to be to the same account. Since I wouldn't receive any direct communication because of this, the lady at the airlinedesk adviced me to take a picture as proof of the refund. Kiwi only refunded the costs for the luggage but never for the €260 flight. They blame the airline and say that my picture is invalid proof. So definitely won't ever book here again.

I accidentally, after purchasing my tickets, canceled them on kiwi.com and immediately notified them, I don’t want to cancel the flight, so they would return everything as it was.. I contacted the air carrier and they confirmed that the reservation was active. Then I contacted Kiwi again and they replied that they would cancel anyway. Although all I needed was for them to do nothing. I understand that I made a mistake, but the attitude in the style - we don’t care - your mistake, suffer yourself. And this is not my first and not only my negative experience with this company. I will never go anywhere near this service again.
