Established in October 2000 Lexham Insurance was originally formed as a specialist broker handling Moped, Scooter and Motorcycle Insurance. The operation has rapidly expanded and now handles polices for tens of thousands of riders and drivers in the UK and Northern Ireland.

“Compared to my previous insurer, "Bikesure", it was a much easier process to obtain my insurance. Bikesure would not allow my 17 year old daughter to be added to my scooter insurance so I was forced to cancel my policy, (I still await my refund,,,,,,,,,,) and look elsewhere. Only by changing did I find out that Lexham policies are so much simpler to apply and pay for.”

“Thank you for arranging my moped insurance. I would like to say though that the length of legal stuff that your operators have to read out to their customers, I do feel that they should call customers back.. It is a very lengthy process which I know has to be carried out but thought should go into the phone bill payer.”

“Last year this was my first insurance as an 18 year old, on my first scooter. The price was not the cheapest, but was competative and the cover looked OK , particularly with Aviva behind the main policy. We have just renewed for the second year - we did a few on-line checks and this time Lexham were the best price, and the premium had come down a reasonable percentage with a one year no claim discount. The administration was straight forward, although they did call and write to me a number of times about renewing - but we did not see the point of paying up to four weeks early. I have no experience of making a claim, but overall they have been OK to deal with.”

“I couldn't complete the quote process on their website due to "technical difficulties" on the site so I called them up and answered a few questions on the phone. The whole process was stupidly smooth. They also don't try and push a hard sell for all the little add-ons like some companies will try and do; they just make you aware and that's it which is refreshing. Obviously I've not had to make a claim with them yet so I can't vouch for that but the whole process of getting cover was incredibly straightforward. UK call-centre as well and the guy I spoke to was really friendly but not in that awkward way - you know what I mean! Very happy.”
