Avoid Avoid Avoid Missold a holiday and then left in the lurch when the problems were discovered Bought a last minute 5-day package to Tenerife from Edinburgh. Love Holidays sold it as no hassle winter family break. We paid extra for all inclusive and a private airport collection - what could possibly go wrong ? Our airline tickets arrived by email a couple of days before travel. The night before our travel we tried to check in, but couldn’t manage. We phoned the airline to see if they could check us in. They said because it was booked through Love Holidays we would have to check in at the airport. We then drove the next morning from our home in Aberdeen to Edinburgh airport, only to find out that the flight was overbooked. This was after a long drive and paying for last minute & expensive airport carparking ☹️ The airline said they could try and get us onto the flight via standby tickets. There was however no spaces on the flight, so the four of us (two adults and two young kids) didn’t get on. The airline ground crew were pretty helpful. Our only alternative was a flight the next morning from Manchester to Tenerife. The airline changed the tickets free and without fuss. We then had to get a train to Manchester and stay in a hotel at our own cost At Edinburgh airport we phoned Love Holidays and were on-hold for 45 minutes at £3 / minute to ask for help. There answer was “this is nothing to do with us”. No help, no changes possible and no refund. We tried asking for help again from Love Holidays later that evening on their web chat just to be told “it’s not our problem”, “we may or may not be able to rearrange your airport pick up for the next day when you arrive from Manchester and we will let the hotel know that you staying for a shorter period”. That was the sum total of their help … Love holiday sold us a holiday with flights that were already oversold as far as we can see from the timing of their tickets to us, they wouldn’t help us and then told us we had no recourse Make you own mind up about Love Holidays after reading this

You took my money and refused to refund my flight cost despite booking both flights and hotel and transfers with you. That made it a package holiday as we purchased ALL elements from you. Would never use you again so take notice if you are reading this!!

We booked a holiday to Cuba with love holidays. We picked a particular hotel that had all we wanted and flights with Tui. Love holidays told us we had to pay for the flights in full straight off - no problem. Less than 3 weeks before departure they informed us that the hotel was ‘no longer available’. We were offered one alternative hotel which was not up to the same standard. We rang customer services and after being on hold for 35mins we were offered alternative hotels but as it as so close to our departure the prices had risen alarmingly. Hotels of a much lower standard were much more expensive than our original one. We gave this some thought and rang back - 45mins on hold. We were told basically take or leave it. If we cancelled we would not get any monies back. We then tried an on line chat. Virtually told the same thing except not only would lose everything if we cancelled we would have to pay an extra £80 for the privilege! They would not let us keep the air tickets on their own. We have ended up having to pay an extra £300+ for a poorer room! This company is ok when things are going well but as soon as there is a problem it’s just tough! Customer services are non existent. There is no way of speaking or emailing anyone in their complaideportment as this has to be done by post with it’s obvious delays. We will never use this company again!

A word to the wise; don't book with LoveHolidays unless you want to get lumbered with $100 'resort fees' when you check out of your hotel. Apparently we were liable for these right from the start, but instead of telling us at the time of booking, they just buried this information halfway through their lengthy T&Cs document and expected us to find it. Other booking agencies like Expedia and Booking.com manage to liaise with the hotels they send people to, and make their customers aware of the potential charges. LoveHolidays essentially can't be bothered to find out what these fees might be, and simply expect you to pick up the surprise bill as you check out. Happy holidays. Customer service response has been blunt and dismissive. It's a shame as our flight with BA and stay with Hotel Artisan in Mexico were great, but take my advice and book through another agent.

Loveholidays company should change its name to 'Hateholidays' or 'ruined holidays' because they are definitely making their customers regret booking a holiday with them. Our experience with them has been so far a total holiday nightmare. We have requested a small amendment to the passenger name by adding two missing letters. This was not a full name change request! When we spoke to the airline directly, they said the full name change would involve a change of surname as well as first and middle names, basically all of it. Our change request was a correction to the first name by adding just two missing letters. There was no change to the middle name and no change to the surname. The airline itself said that they would not charge for a minor correction. But we still have to go through the Loveholidays to make the change as our booking is with them. When we contacted the Loveholidays for the amendment, initially they said it is going to be £275, and the next day they said no it is going to cost £516 without giving any reason in the price difference or why they are charging us for the service that the airlines does not charge for it. While we were waiting for them to explain the reason, they went ahead and canceled the ticket with our approval and without the refund. When we tried to contact their customer service- staff answered the phone with a lot of house noise in the background and sounding like she was speaking to the phone from the other end of the room. She kept repeating the same line ' the team is looking into it and they will get back to you ASAP' and hung up the phone. We then send an email using their online messaging system but did not get a reply. When they finally replied they said we have to get a new ticket for the passenger that they removed. We then paid for the new ticket via the card details they already had. But they did not send us a confirmation and the new booking did not show on the system. We only 3 days left to our flight and we have now spent over £3000 on this holiday and we do not know if we are going or not. We absolutely feel sick in our stomach and going through a real nightmare with this company. Will never ever use them and any company associated with them.

Do not book with Love holidays. I booked a fully refundable holiday pre Covid and could not change or get any refund from them. Even worse, I could not get in contact with them by any means. The only contact method was through the my booking app and everything you do here requires payment.

Booked a fully refundable / change charge free holiday with Love Holidays and paid in full. They then charged us to change our booking! Having been forced to make the changes ourselves direct with airline and hotel we were then told by Love Holidays the Hotel we booked no longer available and gave us one downgraded cheaper alternative and told us if we don't like it we lose all our money! This is a terrible company save yourselves grief and book with a reputable, reliable, trustworthy company.

This Company are unscrupulous. If you have an issue, ie COVID related, expect them to use any means possible to increase the price of your holiday.

Avoid this site at all costs. They will end up costing you money for no reason and when you contact customer care, they will tell you read the terms and conditions with no help whatsoever. I made a booking with this site for hotel only as the prices looked good and much cheaper than the hotel directly. I did book and had paid a deposit knowing that if I did have to cancel Id lose my deposit which is perfectly fine. It did turn out that we needed to cancel so I tried to do this through the online page they supply but to my amazement they wanted to charge me 30 euro just to cancel and thats on top of the deposit that I paid!! Iv never come across this before and after numerous calls and trying to get passed automated systems I finally got through to someone on webchat and was basically told I should of read the small print. I hope no one else gets caught for this and now I need to contact my bank to inform them of this fraud so i wont be charged further. Im ok with losing the deposit as thats what its for but to be charged a further fee is a disgrace. Also after you make a booking they immediately send you a request to fill out a review for trust pilot and most people will as they just saved a few hundred or so on the initial booking but just wait until an issue arises and you will see the true colours of this company

Woeful customer service. Agreed upon a figure for a refund and since then (5 weeks ago) they have seemingly done all that they could to avoid actually paying the agreed refund. Every time I call I get a different reason as to why it hasn't been processed. The last time I spent 2 hours on the phone. At the end I was promised a call back with an update. There was then no call back.

Avoid completely, Ryanair changed our flights 3 times. The last change being a whole day's difference Love holidays would not refund the cost of the accommodation for the one night we would be losing to Ryanair changing the flights. We booked a package holiday but had to liaise with Ryan Air ourselves. Got cut off 5 times, not spoken to one customer service agent who actually cares and is helpful at all!!

Not very good customer service and changing a passenger as the will not refund you the money back. As they are not part of ABTA they can't help. Don't use or make sure everyone in your party will actually go.

4 of us paid a deposit of £39.00 each, and decided to cancel due to covid restrictions and an event we were going to was cancelled, trying to cancel our booking was a total nightmare!! Talking to a robot was like pulling teeth, then after 5 attempts waiting for live chat, we were charged £160.00 each to cancel our holiday!! Please make sure you read the terms and conditions..would avoid completely!!

We Love Holidays not This Company. Do not Use This Company In The Present Climate. They Are A Third Party Agent Not a Package Holiday provider as their advertising implies. Most often they use Airlines and transfer providers who will not allow changes without very high costs. We paid £473 by way of deposit. The airline would allow us to change flights and dates at a cost of £240 on the flight booking arranged by Loveholidays costing £348. Even though we booked only only weeks ago (admittedly before the latest covid) advice) if we cancel we will lose all of our £485 deposit and still owe them £11.70 for that pleasure. We are pensioners in our late 70's and early 80's we booked on the telephone with their draconian terms and conditions being forwarded by E-Mail after the event. AVOID ! AVOID! AVOID !

I have had to cancel a holiday for next year as my wife has covid even after all her jabs and with a new variant around she will not travel out of the country now. I cancelled with Love holidays and they charged me another £40 plus on top of the £500 plus I paid and will now give any back. This company is a disgrace and a bunch of thieves. I am a Pensioner and this is disgraceful way to treat people. DO NOW USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST.

One star as I can't give minus feedback.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY... Booked for 2 weeks after the first 3 payments suddenly my hotel was no longer available and the "alternative" was 25 minutes in a different resort.. Cant call them, The chat bot (after waiting for nearly 2 hours) got me through to "someone" I was told they would fix it and to wait for an email. the next email I got was to tell me my change had been accepted. Cant cancel as these FUCKERS cant get the flights back and it doesnt fall under easy jets cancellations. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Booked a holiday with them and travel restrictions changed in my destination country afterwards. They refuse to refund me the cost point blank quoting their terms of service denying responsibility. When I informed them those terms completely contradict what they advertise on the website which is that they give full refunds to people if travel restrictions change due to COVID making them unable to travel they did not address the contradiction. First agent on the phone hung up the phone on me and got irate speaking over me when I simply tried to calmly explain the contradiction in their terms as advertised. I have been left having paid for a holiday i cannot legally go on and if I could give them 0 stars I would.

My wife made the simple mistake of putting her first and sir name the wrong way round. We contacted Loveholidays straight after just to swap the names no problem you'd think but no £60 charge for what 30 seconds work on a computer. We won't be using them again.

I booked tickets on 18th November. I entered booking reference on Emirates website while advisor on phone as I wanted to make sure it was legit. The passenger details and flight number were on Emirates website, so I made the payment. Later on evening checked Emirates website and all booking had disappeared. Rang numerous times, emailed them, no response. Rang Emirates who advised booking created on 18th, tickets issued but loveflights than voided booking and no other booking created. So we have no tickets, can't get through to loveflights, they have our money. Claiming under section 75 chargeback but they have got away with it. Police won't help, definitely newspaper needs to be told. I will report to watchdog too. Be aware, it's a scam.
